Yeah I guess this is the roadmap currently (in order): - Merging additional bliss schemas like buildings tables and scheduled messages whenever they prove to be stable (which definitely is not yet) - New map that allows you to place vehicles and see players and inventories with more precise coordinates. - Custom whitelist support - BEC support - FTP access - Server-side support for dayz anti-hax and gotcha antihax. - More precise controls for cleaning up vehicles and objects (this will come after the buildings schema). I may have forgotten something. Also found out today that the UK shipment from supermicro has been delayed and will not be delivered until Friday :( We have also had a build order sent to Dallas to be set up which will hopefully be online much sooner since Softlayer usually has hardware in stock.

when i'm geared, my sessions become shorter and i just make some looting sessions in towns, or search for something in particular (tent, vehicles), do some hunting, go for antibiotics, camp somewhere to spot players...easy stuff. unless you play in groups when you can go to have fun in the military areas..

Hey all, So i'm tempted to come back to days after having a couple of month break, but wanted to know if anything has changed? Sorry if this has been asked before, my bad. Theres loads of threads on here, so would take me days to sift through them all. So anyway. - I presume there are still hackers/ sripters? Im not overly bothered with this one, its annoying yeah but not the end of the world. - Still unlimted ammo on reloading? I have a feeling thats fixed now, - Players "duping" weapons n tht in tents or vehicles? This did my head in previously, people say they love perma death, but fight the mechanics of the game to avoid it.... - The dodgy glitches? - Alt f4? - Server connections improved? no need to fire 30 rnds into someone before they die? Cant think of anymore right now But thanks for any replies. Tom -

28. Allow players to build spike pits and other rudimentary traps. Other trap ideas (many stolen from the forums):Tripwire hooked to a gun to shoot anyone coming thru a door. Claymore mines. Landmines. Caltrops to slow people down or puncture tires. Oil slicks to make people slip and fall or make cars lose control... grenades/flares/chemlights rigged to tripwires. – JamesR Booby trapped vehicles that explode when started / moved. Remove slide pins/hammer pins, and plug barrels from weapons and leave them places so if sumone shot them they would explode/malfunction in their hands. – Mr Two Poisoned food. - trap are good idea but they should not be able to kill people, since alot of people would abuse with trap and set mine/weapon everywhere in the world. Just going to cherno and you might fall on a minefield in the supermarket, I would not play a game went you have 80% chance of getting kill by a forgetten trap... Trap should only be use for detection, like Tin can on a rope OR if you really want traps you should be able to see the trap and remove it. Be able to see that the weapon have missing part and etc... (sorry for my bad english, im french) -

This much I know from my thousands of hours in Arma 2, but I also know that server restarts aren't supposed to permanently destroy tents & vehicles, even in the present Alpha version of Day Z. Some of the servers I've frequented eat vehicles more than others. Capital! I'll join as soon as I figure out how to get Day Z to work with the beta version. (Bloody Steam ...) -
What do we expect from DayZ Standalone?

A ton of good ideas here. I have nothing new so the biggies for me - Everything at risk at all times. No safe areas, no safe storage/global inventory. This is an absolute must or kiss the survival aspect of the game goodbye - Think WarZ - Military weapons should be rare, high end weapons very rare and ammo even more so. - Ammo in general should be rare with spare mags very rare, should have to reload our own mags. I want to feel like a rich man if i have a 1911 with an extra mag and a full box of cartridges - Vehicles in greater disrepair and fuel should be as hard to find as ammo. Horses would be cool but also rare and salvageable for meat. - Make the environment a bigger factor Added: While i dont mind the tent/camp aspect i always wonder how a re-created character would have memory of where the tent/camp is located. Maybe randomly relocate tents when you die? -
I had the same problem until I joined a whitelisted private-hive server to avoid hackers, and started hanging out on their teamspeak. I befriended a couple of different groups on there (at different times though), to the point they trust me with their base and vehicles. I still keep to my own little survival missions most of the time, just listening to them on TS (which can be entertaining in itself), but sometimes join them when I hear they are doing up a chopper or going on an adventure into bandit territory. Occasionally I'll offer them lifts back to base when they die. I just let strangers go by most of the time - trying to befriend them at your first meeting is too dangerous, and killing them is fairly pointless. If they're heading into the middle of nowhere, I'd try to follow them back to their base and raid it later. Or maybe to steal their vehicle. The only time I'd confront someone is if they were trying to loot the same place as me, or searching too close to my tents.

Love the server. Haven't had any issues with hackers and have found more than a handful of vehicles looking around a spawn locations and hiding spots (granted most have been stolen back haha). My friends and I play on the server regularly. My only question to wolf is how do I join the team speak or whatever. We have some fun ideas all the regulars could do as a group (some pvp and coop stuff). Good change of pace from the usually hunting each other. I'd love to do some team speak. BTW thanks for the bus coordinates, still haven't gone and looked but the bang bus might roll on. In game name is Rpbby (misspelled it by accident and now its stuck, too bad) -

Haha Love the comments guys! To the people hating on the accuracy, GO ON THEN, YOU TRY IT! LMAO. For thos wondering about the gun, the server seen in the video is running rMod, which is an addition to DayZ that makes it better by fixing bugs and adding extra vehicles, weapons, skins etc. -

You have cycled through just about every dayz server host there is, and no host seems to be able to make you happy. 3.7 is a flawless release, and most of our customers are not having any of the problems you are speaking about, especially after this last update. So please stop spamming the forums and let people decide for themselves. You do realize we offer refunds to our customers if they file a cancellation request and it is a valid reason. You never submitted a request, you just decide to do a paypal dispute after 3 weeks. You say our servers are crap? We use Dual E5-2620's that have plenty of resources. Let me know if this seems like something a "crappy" host would do: Bliss v3.7 is released and now available in your TC Admin "Mod Manager." It's very important to follow these steps to avoid server issues/downtime. Wouldn't it be cool if you could light up the cities with the power lines that connect them to the generator? I thought it would be cool if you could do that. This has already been posted on another forum section, but I feel this goes in the suggestions section. How would it work? Find the generator and fix it (Would require ALOT of scrap metal and stuff, more than vehicles in general. Then once complete, you need a form of energy to keep the current afloat, that's where Jerry Cans come in use. Of course, since it would drain the living **** out of the gas, dozens and dozens and dozens would be required to make the electricity go on for a while. Especially at night, like you can see in the video above, that would be particularly useful. Sure, there will always be a few noobs who will go and grief lights, but that would add to the fun, and who knows, maybe you can fix them with wind shield parts? I'm just sayin' this guy's idea is potentially really good for the standalone.

Bump with last night's events. Me and two friends are heading to Berezino in search of medical supplies after i crash a van and nearly kill us all. We drive up in our UAZ to the Berezino hospital, grab some med supplies. Pretty uneventful and everything goes as planned. We decide to head down to the general store to restock our food supply. We see zombies up so we decide to scrap our plan and drive on through, until something catches our eye. Right in front of the general store is a black SUV! My two friends drop me off in front, and prepare to turn around and grab the vehicle. As i jump out i see one person in the back of the store searching for loot. I begin to circle around back of the general store to hopefully surprise him. My two friends have already turned around by now, and has dropped off one person to get in the black SUV. I run in the back of the general store and enter the front part of the store. I take aim at the back and prepare to unload my newly found M4SD. This is when things get hairy. With my finger on the trigger I see two people in the store, not one. I open fire between the two, I dont think i hit either one. I escape out back and circle right hoping to cut the other person off from escaping out the front. I run right right into one of the survivors i was just shooting at and he takes two or three shots at me, point blank. Two shots hit me right in the face/chest as i open fire again with my M4SD. This time, i got him. He drops fast. At this point my friend had jumped out of our UAZ and acquired their black SUV and is preparing to drive off, but there is a problem. There is a female survivor in the passenger seat! With complete chaos and panic on Skype, I return the way i came into the store and head into the front room. I see a survivor still there, peppering the hell out of my two friends out front. I open fire at his head, the only part of his body I could see over the tall shelves. Survivor 2 is down. We now have two vehicles, and my friends are attempting to get the female passenger out of the black SUV. I decide I've had enough of these shenanigans and approach the passenger window. I blast 10 rounds into the side glass. Passenger steps out, and promptly falls to the ground. With all the shots going off, zombies are coming from every direction. We decide it is time to leave with our newly found vehicle before more people show up. Me and my friend jump in the black SUV and head off down a street following the UAZ, when a few seconds later we see another UAZ driving parallel to us. Both drivers are pannicking over Skype, and suddenly my friend stops the black SUV with the intent of blowing the hell out of the UAZ. Driver of the UAZ steps out , gets blasted by about 20 rounds. " Friend 2 has died". We quickly concluded that we have been following the wrong UAZ ever since we left Berezino. I jump in the drivers seat of the black SUV and start yelling at my friend to get in so we can give chase. He said he was having problems getting into the SUV, and then a misclick happened. His gun goes off and a spray of bullets goes into the front tire. The new black SUV, our prize from all of this, is now disabled. With one friend down and our new vehicle immobile, we run to our original vehicle beside our fallen friend, only to see the survivor Armchair drive off through the hills. TLDR : Need morphine, find morphine, need beans, find black SUV, I kill 3, friends get confused and friend1 kills friend2, friend1 shoots black SUV. One of the survivors names was Chuck i believe, and Armchair was the one who got away. Would love to hear yall's versions of the story as well! -

WAY less guns WAY less ammo More zombies No more super running zombies that zig zags, zombies should only walk and when aggroed they should "shamble" at a slight faster rate towards the player. Less KoS More emphasis on melee No more NVG's Military grade equipment being rare as hell almost un-existant and prone to break down since it's hard to maintain Some sort of skill system to be able to use/repair vehicles/shoot properly/skin animals Some sort of stronghold/house/fort we can build and customize, instance probably and only accessible to the player and people he lets. Better character customization Finding working vehicles instead of only broken ones Redone loot system where they don't hang around in piles on the floor No more "be hit twice by zombies enjoy your broken leg" Being able to actually go around town fighting your way in instead of having to go prone everywhere More interiors and zombies in them Easter eggs Spooky sound files that get played at random when you are in a town/farm etc. Like maybe a window smashing open, doors creaking, ghostly kids laughter and stuff like that Mud, clothes should get dirt someway. Seriously this would be awesome. I think mostly are these. Although I would pay for DayZ as it is right now as long as they gave me good servers, no hacking and a "one button only" Steam installation method.

I'd just like to point out that it's still based off of a similar/the same engine. There are certain things that the engine is just not made for. Though the points you make are valid, some are just ambitiousgamersyndrome(pathing? OPTIMIZATIONZ OMG CRYSIS HAS BETTAR GRAPHICS(hate to say it, but crysis doesn't have 25km2 of environment being done by the server). melee weapons are a work in progress, obviously. more would be nice, but having a hotkey to use one would completely change the game. YOU THINK IT WOULDN'T BUT IT WOULD. also, the buildings/vehicles? you ever play on any custom maps? just sayin' LET'S MAKE THIS REALISTIC BUT LET'S ALSO MAKE IT MORE LIKE COD. people being all, 'zomg no endgame' are people who don't know how to have fun and want the game to make all the fun for them. so what, you want a fucking gold pony when you've collected all the guns/vehicles you can possibly manage? it's a sandbox. though, i do like the zombie horde idea. the zombies DO need a lot of improvement, but that is quite the task... especially given the environment. i think it's actually awesome that they work as well as they do, considering everything. some changes i wanna see are the beefed up UI, and being able to remove parts from vehicles ;D also, it'd be interesting to see more in terms of camp creation, but i also see the douchebaggery that could withhold for dayz. imo hackers are a rough problem, but it happens in... every game? what's necessary are good admins!

hi, I play ofp/ArmA series since 2001 and I like the mod for what it is. I mean tension is incredibly strong and I never felt like that in any video game. Few times, my heart was pumping as hell and I fought to don't disconnect so it was unbearable. It is frustrating, unforgiving and most of time you die like a dog when you make a mistake. To make things clear I don't want the bandit skin back, punish psycopathe snipers, force people to cooperate or stop coast beans war. Nope I don't want any of this things even if I am in a group of carefull players who don't kill each other on sight. People have their own fun and I'm fine with that. Of course, everything is not perfect and one thing bothering me is the fatigue realism. I know zeds are not realistic blablabla but let me explain. IMHO, it should not be possible to run forever without any consequences. Your movement speed (jogging, sprinting or walking slowly) should effect how soon you will become tired. The total amount of gear you are carrying, should have a huge effect on how fast you become fatigued. Once you have reached your maximum stamina you collapse (hourglass screen). This is likely when carrying a rifle, a pistol with lots of ammo and supplies at the same time. If you overload yourself your collapse real quick. In order to regain your stamina, you should rest. More you stay alive and more you stamina level is hight. If your are alive since 30 minutes you should be less trained and have less endurance than a guy who is alive since 8 days. With a fatigue system, players will have to plan what gear they choose for which mission (water, car parts, meat...). They will also have to plan their movement depending on zombies and other players and use vehicles to carry heavy equipment. Player should not be able to endlessly run around like headless chicken with a ruck full of stuff and 20-30 runners at his tail, find a barn and headshot them one by one with his makarov. It really kills the immersion and zombie threat. Please keep the topic constructive and mature. Discuss. cya. Nikiller.

Hi, you are welcome to check us out at The BSB Network. We're a social gaming community that is dedicated to fair and fun gaming. We have over 200 players in various Fire teams (between 3-5 people regularly maximum 8 players per team) and groups playing Day Z and using our Teamspeak Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids. These teams have several bases, vehicles, camps and play across several of our own home servers. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you! Our members are based all over the world and are on at all times of the day and night, but all speak English and most are based in the UK and Mainland Europe with some in the US too. We've been gaming as a community since 2002, so we're not some ad-hoc fly by night clan that's been quickly set up and will be gone in the blink of an eye! There is no obligation to join our clan or any of our affiliated clans/groups to take part in our sessions though, everyone is free to urn up and get involved. This will greatly add to realism, and greatly diminish the gameplay. I'm more for it impacting the need for food and water consumption. Or, more vehicles has to be implemented. Already there are mechanics that doesn't let you sprint forever or only lets you sprint when you're rested. Otherwise, humans can in fact jog incredible distances. It's what we're made for.

Another story for you this time about how I pissed of a script kiddie!! It started last night I had loaded into Chernarus during a server restart and when I finally got into the server I had re-spawned on the docks of Electro with all my gear, which at the time was some of the best i've ever had and my character was 25 days old longest I have survived to date. My gear consisted of M4A3 CCO, M14 Aim, G17, Backpack coyote and the basic food and med supplies along with a few smoke and M67 grenades. So as I was now in Electro again I decided I would check around the hospital and supermarket just to stock up, along the way I ended up running into the church to avoid a few zeds I managed to pull, after about 2 minutes inside I heard a gunshot Winchester I think anyway a death message pops up so I realise theirs a bandit killing newbies and I decided to kill him to give the bambi a fighting chance, as I stood up to go outside an unarmed survivor runs inside with half of Electro on his tail including the bandit so I whipped out my grenade and tossed it killed half the zeds and I shot the rest I was looking for the bandit now with no luck so I ran outside to find the bandit unconscious so I put my trust in the bambi and gave him my G17 and let him do the dirty work, this was more satisfying than a kill XD, but it was also strike one to me for this hacker his name was simon. I had teamed up with the bambi now and got him some gear AKM included and we set of up to Stary Sober, along the way we noticed a helicopter so we hid inside the forest under a bush, now their was know way this guy could see us no zeds spawns about we were hid before he was even visible to us yet he lands in the field right next to us and gets on the gunner and starts spraying us, at this point the bambi was about to log of before this happened so I told him to abort not to risk his best character (according to the bambi) to this blatant hacker. So there I am all alone with shit loads of bullets whizzing past my head I pull out my M14 aim 2 smokes and a grenade sat firmly behind cover keeping an eye on him to make sure he dose not teleport to me or leave the chopper, I am waiting for the reload and I hear it I pop out and whiz a smoke grenade not knowing if this will help ofc he could have ESP/wallhack on anyway it seemed to confuse him a little I chanced it and ran towards a pine tree where I would have good cover and he kept shooting at my old spot, so I chucked my remaining smoke to give me more cover and chucked my grenade through the smoke towards the chopper at this point he had stopped shooting again I believed he was reloading, my grenade blew up and then there was a huge explosion and his chopper was gone but he was not turns out he had left the chopper looking for me so I went back into the forest to find him searching and I pop 2 bullets from my M14 aim into his skull and guess what it was simon again ofc you already knew this I guess. So now I had acquired some NV goggles of his body nothing else worth taking so I hid his body and went on my way, eventually I arrived at Stary Sober I began looting the tents and all of a sudden the whole server about 20 of us were at the fuel station outside of electro and ofc without hesitation I opened fire killed 3 people before getting to cover and eventually killing another 2 including my buddy simon, who again was geared to the teeth once more he had also left me a present a Uaz with lots of spare parts for choppers and cars I promptly hopped in the car and drove back up to Stary sober where I continued to loot, I had empty all the trash from the car to make room and i found 2 AKM's AKS cobra and a few tools GPS an stuff and once I was done with Stary sober I went up to NW airfield where I found an M24, M16 ACOG, M4A1, PDW, MP5 silenced and a Remington so this car was stocked to the brim. I then decided I would hide the car in the forest north north east of devils castle but I decided to check out the castle before hand and I found nothing but as I was coming out I saw a white pick up parked next to my UAZ, by now it had been a couple of hours since my last encounter with simon so I checked the player list and he was still here so I noticed the guy get into my car and come out with my M24 so I shot this guy in the leg knocked him out and then went close studied the body and yes it was my dear friend Simon. I then tebagged him until he started to move again as you know it takes a little while to get up once the unconscious timer runs out as soon as he started to move I put him down he was out for about 20 seconds. He had some Range finders an NV goggles on him this time along with a few other things so now I had everything I needed. I hid my car where I planned to then ran back to the pick up in devils castle I proceeded back to my new camp, this pick up was full of parts and lots of medical supplies too, when I got to where I had left me tents and UAZ there was nothing there except my fire I left lit as a marker. I was a little pissed now at first I thought the admin is on and the car was hacked in so it got deleted, but then I thought well this pick up just appeared at devils castle along with simon so why hasn't this been deleted anyway I was looking around and saw nothing and as I drove of Simon spawned in front of my with a bazooka and well this time I didn't kill him so everything I had stocked up with had gone and to make matters worse I spawned at Kamenka. At first this guy didn't annoy me much other than spawning himself gear the encounters with him were fair fights more or less he didn't have godmode or wallhacks so other than having top gear and vehicles straight away it was a normal bandit encounter but I could tell he was getting pissed off when he started teleporting us and to me and I think he had just decided to steal my car at devils castle to piss me off but he failed and I pushed him over the edge and he then used his brain if he has one and attacked me when I was most vunerable in a car XD. So there you have it a day in the life of a public server, script kiddies gotta hate em.

Is there any recommendations on Server suppliers? I have been with Survival Servers for coming on 3 weeks and I have now grown really tired of their shitty service. I like the tools they have. The map tool to view vehicle locations. MYPHP to edit the database. TC Admin to start and restart the server and apply updates. DAYZ tools to change the timezone and add more vehicles to the server and do general server tiding up Is there any other supplier who supplies the same sort of tools? If so I would be very tempted to change supplier. Thanks.

Progress update: These updates let you know that this group hasn't gone dormant. So yesterday, I found a bike right next to my spawn. In under and hour, I had a tent and was ready to go start a camp. But while I was heading back to the backroad where my bike was hidden, I got shot. Having shocked myself and bled out in a doorway earlier, I couldn't really hear it. But as I started crawling up the hill in hope I'd miraculously survive, I see many, many shots fired into the hill next to me, not one actually hitting me. Then he reloaded and took me down. Based on the facts, probably some scared player wasting ammo, or a bandit grubbing for loot. Either way, it was a kicker. BUT, now, I am pretty well equipped in this life, and am searching for a vehicle. Even though I have been from Cherno and looped around the coast to Zelenogorsk, I still have yet to find even a bicycle. Perhaps today's server restart will send some vehicles my way...

We have over 200 players in various Fire teams and groups playing Day Z and using our Teamspeak Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids.
