Plastic Bottles making temporary suppressors.

That's not actually true. A suppresor that's even available on civilian markets last thousands of rounds. -

No, sadly. So you've downloaded the files and installed those specific files individually? Try downloading the files and following the instructions here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?x3daudio1_6 -

Try validating steam cache. Right click the game and click properties. Go to local files and click verify integrity of game cache. -
You don't but certain snipers will allow you to further zoom in by holding right click.

Custom build your own. Much cheaper. Go here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ become a member, make a post in the appropriate section and wait for responses. -

I'm doubting it'll work. But let's try this: Download CCleaner from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner Ccleaner is a program that removes useless files and cleans your registry. Run the cleaner in the registry section like this: Download this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Install it. Try running Arma 2. -

Just check over this guide (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113) and use google like crazy. I'm checking the issue now, and hopefully I'll get some results quickly. -
We need to change the current voice system. Instead of multiple channels, it would be whisper, talk, yell, or talk in radio. If the game allowed me to talk to my buddies in a much quieter manner, I would use in-game chat more often.
-
Update your Arma 2 beta, then run it as administrator.
-
That'll be easy, it's already in Arma!
-
I think I see what's wrong. Open Arma 2 OA and click expansions. A menu will pop up. If you installed that addons folder correctly, it should say "addons" with an empty circle beside it. Double click it press okay. Attempt to launch DayZ now.

Bin config...MPTable.shadow error giving me grief
colekern replied to Dorrity's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Sweet, just send me a PM when you want and the server IP then we'll play. I'll see if I can figure out how to get teamspeak working (it's a program that allows constant voice chat). -
Why not try getting advice from the Tom's hardware forums? Those guys are great! I would help out, but I just finished helping a guy custom build his own machine, and I'm tired.

what I do with mine is I install games that I regularly play on my SSD, then put games that have short load times, or games I don't really play all that much on my Hard drive using program called steam mover: http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover The reason? Saving space. As for music, movies, and similar stuff, store it on your hard drive. Also, put your favorite web browser on your SSD.

What DayZ has to learn from other games
colekern replied to m.w. vindicator's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Fixing the flashlights is the only thing that's needs to be done for me to play on night. Also, I'm not really sure that the mags-on-person thing will work. It might maybe. But also, you've gotta remember that the inventory is being completely re-done. -
I'd recommend doing this config tweak: Go into you documents folder, then go into the Arma 2 folder. You should have files called Arma2 and Arma2OA. Open them with notepad. Find GPU_maxframesahead= and Gpu_detectedframesahead=. Replace the numbers after the = with 1, then save. Next, open arma and go into to options, controls. Turn the smoothing all the way off. Next, go into video options. Turn off post-processing.
