DayZ standalone is going to be a lot more hack-proof due to the fact that the way multiplayer works is being redone. As for Battleye, its done a very good job protecting Arma. Its actually Arma's fault for all the hacks getting through.

The "zombies" is DayZ are infected humans not walking dead. They would just die.

I really don't think those guys are telling the truth. The majority of those guys have the spelling of a five year old and the excuses of one too. A couple of tips to help you out. First, play on one of these servers: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/92982-community-private-hive-server-listing/ Next, avoid programs like DayZ optimizer. Do those things and you're good.

Its not DayZcommander, it's the server. Try filtering the ping.

What error are you getting? -
First, try running steam as administrator. If that doesn't work, open steam and right click on Arma 2 OA and click properties. Press set launch options and type this: -mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\ArmA 2;EXPANSION;ca Run the game.

Hacker. Play on these servers: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/92982-community-private-hive-server-listing/ They'll be pretty much hack free. There whitelisted, which means officially approved by the community.

The truth is, the volunteer mods just don't have the time between work, moderating the forums, and addressing players concerns to do that. Regular players could. -

I can't in the next few days. A snowstorm slowed my internet o crawl and the only way I'm able write this was through a generator. I'd love to team up sometime though. P.S. No hard feelings, if that's what it seemed like. i just thought it was funny that I was telling you the exact story I'd tried to impress you with. -

Like he said regedit. Use it to delete your old CD key (google it) and make a new steam account and re-buy it. Also, don't ever try to hack again.

Turn off v-sync and post-processing. Try going into your catalyst control center and turning your 3d settings to performance.
