This has been discussed at least 300 times before, and it's always the same two reasons: 1. Most people don't have the hardware required to have hundreds of zombies on screen at once without the computer crashing. 2. It's an open world map. If a bunch of slow zombies start to spawn, you can just casually walk away. And then I have my own reason I came up with: It doesn't make any sense for hundreds of zombies to spawn in the towns of Chernarus. All the towns are very small. Use the search function before you post. inb4 graveyard.

All of the bullets drop, from any gun. there's a feature called "zeroing" with snipers and certain assault rifles that allows you to adjust your weapons scope for what range you're at. -

In DayZ, you never know who to trust. Adding teams would take that tension away. Also, you seriously think I go around shooting everything that moves? Take a minute to read my signature. -

No. Read some of the other blog posts, they talk about the new loot spawn system.

I almost just crapped myself. The annoying fog is gone, there's no stupid, overdone post-processing, the characters look amazing, and you're already working on attachments? I didn't think we'd have attachments for a long time. As for the other graphical enhancements, well, safe to say I was floored when I saw the screenshot.

Wow, I see a huge difference. More detail, much, MUCH better lighting, better textures, better colors... etc. To me, that was a bigger improvement than I was expecting on initial release. -
In real life, firing from the hip really isn't a smart. Contrary to popular belief, it actually takes skill to use and operate a firearm. It's not a point and shoot thing. There's a lot of things that will mess up your shot (trigger-finger discipline, breathing,stance, etc..), but there's one thing that will guarantee a miss from almost any (unless you're are literally like, five feet away), and that's hip firing.

it's either this, or the "hey I know you" idea. Basically, you have to see someone first, then you just call them whatever you want. For example, see someone wandering around? What's their name? You would just call them something simple, like wanderer or something. Or a mix of both. -

Wrong. You play DayZ as if it were DayZ. DayZ is not trying to be everything to everyone. It never will be. One of the awesome things in DayZ is that you have to adapt to survive. It's not going to bend over for you. It forces you change your tactics. You have to adapt or die. -

No. DayZ needs to stay away from systems like this. One of the reasons DayZ is special is because it doesn't have these kind of systems in place.
