This either sounds like overheating or your laptop going to power saver mode. To fix the power saver thintg try this: Right click the desktop. Open Configure switchable graphics. There should a be a "add new program" or something. Click on that. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common (or your username)\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta Click on the Arma2OA.exe. Set to high performance. If the problem still persists, do some googling or buy a fan for the thing. -

Just proof that most Americans, if they were unfortunate enough to get stuck in Russia but fortunate enough to find a car, would most likely die not from zombies or bandits, but from forgetting to drive on the left side of the road and having a head-on collision. -

DayZ Standalone Character Creation and Death Question.

You'll only be able to choose your race and gender in the initial release, but more of that will probably come later. Most of the character customization will come in the form of items you find in-game, and your actions. For example, if you kill a lot of dudes and loot their bodies, you may get blood on your clothes or hand. As for how the customization will work after death... well, this hasn't been talked about yet. -

KOS mentality? Nope. Just the other day I got picked by a random guy in a van over side chat. After he picked up some buddies, they tried to give a helicopter. But as for your question, it's not going to be a PVP game. PVP will always be an option, but a lot of stuff is being added to the game that will encourage other players to work together. Base building is a good example. Also, as Fraggle said, don't base your opinions completely on a mod. -

I've gotta say no. This is not at all what DayZ needs. All it would do is add lot of pressure to rush out the game since tons of people would start complaining about rocket taking his time.

Arma tries to optimizing your game by changing what's done on the CPU or the GPU depending on your settings. If you have a lot of stuff on low, then the game will really push your CPU. But if you have a lot of stuff on normal or high, then it pushes your GPU more. You have to find a good balance. Also, try this tweak: Go into C:\Users\Yourname\Documents\ArmA 2 Open Arma2.cfg and arma2oa.cfg with notepad. Find Gpumaxframesahead and Gpudetectedframesahead. Change the number after those to 1. Do this in both files. Start Arma 2: OA. Turn of post processing. Then go into controls and turn smoothing all the way down.

A couple of Questions, for those in the know

1. The icon was changed to go from red to blue. If it's red, then that means your healthy. 2 The debug monitor (aka "stats tab") was replaced with a new one that only shows kills a humanity. 3 I don't know. Join a different server.
