I've actually really been wondering what they've done with melee weapons. Also, I love that directional attack idea. Kind of like Dead Island's alternate control scheme.

There are suggestions similar to this that were meant to replace humanity. I personally like the idea, but it needs to be subtle enough so that you might not notice it unless you really look for it. -

IT'S THE SERVER!!! You comment about the internet connection made me realize it's the server. Sometimes, server owners stop taking care of their server, and it causes lag for anyone who plays on it. Try launching regular Arma 2, and tell me how it goes.

Yeah that's a hack. Find a good whitelisted private hive. I'd recommend Balota Buddies.

I was thinking that the buildings would be randomized only once, when the server starts up for the first time ever. -
It blocks you from multiplayer, not singleplayer.

Balota Buddies. It's run by the guys who run the DayZ forums and there's no custom starting gear. Check the "get whitelisted" thread and follow the instructions there. I believe the teamspeak IP is the server IP, which you can put into your DayZ Commander favorites and join the server there. If that doesn't work, try searching US46 in the search. The server is ridiculously customized by the way P.S. Read ALL the rules and the ENTIRE video.
