I'm not nearly as good as I pretend I am. REASON FOR WANTING TO JOIN: Because it sounds friggin' epic. Also: My internet is very moody, so I may not be able to play consistently. Right now, my ping is about 700, but most of the time it stays around 200-270. My connection should be much faster and more consistent in the next few months because sprint is laying down cable.

This going to sound like total bullcrap, but I have guess as to why: Arma perfroms differently for everyone. Take me for instance; I have a GTX 680 FTW+ overclocked and an i5-3570k and I still can't max out Arma 2 without struggling to get 30 FPS. However, I've seen people with a GTX 660m max the game out at 60 FPS. Arma's just weird like that.

You misunderstood. There's no fanboyism here. A while back, I saw an article showing the differences in performance between AMD processors and Intel processors in Arma 2. With the AMD processors installed, Arma 2 didn't perform nearly as well as with the intel processors installed. I can't remember the link to the article, as I saw it about a month before this thread was made. I'm not an Intel fanboy at all. I definitely prefer Intel over AMD, as the i5's and i7's have much better architecture, but I never rule AMD out of builds whenever I help someone make a new computer; in fact, most of the time I recommend AMD parts for budget builds. I had this problem a while back, but yours got fixed for you. I forgot how to fix the content deleted error, but there are tons of fixes for that online. Google it, and if you still have trouble, come back to this thread and I'll do my best to help.

Yes, this is possible, but you have to delete your old CD-key first. I've never been banned, so Google how to do it. Also, it's impossible to have your CD-key stolen by a hacker through the game. You have to download a program (such as an "fps booster" or free "hacks") that gives them access to your computer.

I think I'll be using spacebar (hold) for sprint (mass-effect style) and spacebar (tap) for vault, with c to ready my weapon, x to toggle crouch, and z to go prone.

First join a whitelisted server. The do a bit of research. Its the Arma engine that allows the hacking. That's why they're making a new engine for the standalone, to prevent hacking. Third, we don't want to hear you complain about it. Its an obvious problem, and if you had bothered to do a couple seconds of research, you would have known that the reason for the delays is that they're preventing hacking.

Do a little bit of research before you post. Fixing the cheating in the mod is literally impossible.

Yes. It could be your CPU or GPU overheating.

It goes into power saver mode. Use your drivers to set Arma 2 to high performance.

Arma is a great game in it self, so if you're interested in ridiculously large-scale multiplayer warfare, get the game. Also, i hate to burst your bubble, but there's almost 100% concrete proof that frankie is, or was, a hacker.

Personally, bandages are just there to take up space. I think they'll be more important in the standalone though. I would also love to see the crafting system let you rip up your shirt to make some makeshift bandages.

I don't really think this should be added though. I think most people really don't think achievements are right for DayZ (I sure don't). I could see some sort of online leaderboard for who's survived the longest, but that's it.

Did you watch PAX? Rocket said they already added a simplified A.C.R.E. As for ace, well... I've never played ACE.
