No. It could be a crappy server that's causing lag. Running regular Arma 2 will test that. -

Actually the scroll wheel is being used for the hotbar, and all of the animations are, yes, being redone.

The reason for this is the new engine. They've pretty much made an entirely new engine to prevent hacking. That's what's taking so long. -

I'm actually kind of liking the idea of decayed zeds. If they had good loot, it would be cool to hunt them down. Actually, I've been really happy with almost all of the community updates lately.

They have for now, but I think they're trying to get completely new animations for DayZ in the initial release.
