Whilst great ideas for a game, I do not see how this can fit in with the DayZ style. Sure achievements are cool and the staple of games but I do not see how a player would be able to 'carry' 1k clothes on him, unless upon spawn he has the choice of being able to spawn with one of these cloth items, which i guess is kind of cool. However as it stands, the way people get skins from other people is to get them to remove the skins and then take/steal em, so in a way having achievements to give you a certain skin at this stage exploits that mechanic (currently)

That's verging on the side of being too gameish and reminds me of the lambent of Gears of War. The infected are just that, they're not dead, high radiation levels are bound to kill them as much as the survivors. Besides, why would they be radioactive?

[Nonconstructive interjection]- There aren't zombies in Left 4 Dead, they are designated infected. Constructive comment: As the game is meant to be deep, visceral and more down to earth survival horror, I do not see the addition of new zombie types over the 'hopper' zeds, 'prone' zeds and regular zeds. The only change I anticipate are minor ones to current AI and behavior; ability to climb ladders and resume chase, giving up the chase, slowing down etc. I would like to see more zeds situational to their environment more so than military zeds at military bases, such as engineer zeds near fueling depots, hunters and watchmen near deer stands, doctors and nurses near hospitals, residents in residential districts, factory workers, the list goes on; each unique zed would then have a loot table (sorry for the MMO lingo but it fits) suited to their profession whilst 'gaming' the system slightly, higher ranking officials, military or otherwise could have higher propensity to drop better loot whilst still very rare; moreover unique zeds with cool threads from very rare spawning zeds such as army, medical, church etc should be able to have their skins looted from them (or similar versions to those clothes) Zed Behaviour- Zeds could be further divided by AI patterns, so you would have for example: Walkers- Classic Shambling Zombies, more common in coastal cities, max movement speed slightly slower than a crouched run and an overall decreased aggro range+timer Runners- Typical DayZ Chernarus Olympic team tryouts we're all so accustomed to Lively- Younger, healthier individuals, faster, more resilient, loud, attracts others with loud, distinct sounds, unable to tell them apart from normal runners or walkers unless agitated. Hoppers- Slow annoying chimpesque infected (end stage of disease or something? :s) larger aggro range, slow slow slow. (already exists) Prone- Legs broke, hides in tall grass (already exists)

Feigning death and the removal of that stupid kill confirmation text would be so boss... you could wait for the guy to loot your corpse and then get up and backstab him with the mackarov he shunned.. As a counter, 'Check Pulse' should be usable to confirm whether or not the feigned survivor is dead or alive.

The ability to return to your corpse and pick up where you left off is a common feature in most online games. In DayZ, as it stands this feature is no different; if you get sniped a mile away by a hawkeyed bandit across a field and he's too lazy to reap his spoils, you can effectively loot your old self and continue where you left off. Whilst not a dire feature requiring immediate attention I think that players should be unable to loot the corpse of their previous lives; it detracts from immersion and is borderline exploitative of the system. TLDR; Remove ability to loot own corpse= Difficulty+

p4lztZ is on to something i think.. Players tents and saved vehicles (if unclaimed) should despawn when the player dies, perhaps after 10-15 minutes of the player dying, that or the owner should not be able to see whats inside (blank inventory).

Quick suggestion :s As someone stated earlier before, women in games are either poorly represented (hypersexualised stereotypes) or simply not at all; so I thought it would be cool to add some diversity to the Zed roster and include female zombies (as right now it seems that those infected seem restricted to the Cherno Country Club) Children are also hardly respresented in games, the issue of children in especially violent games or ones which simply show the world for what it is (dangerous, cruel) is something that's always a bit of a rocky debate. The inclusion of child zombies I think would feed off the taboo vibe and add an extra layer of depth to the Chernarus situation; not to mention the new sets of sounds and behaviours would be downright chilling.

It always baffles me when survivors talk about their humanity and their struggle to survive, but then when they come across someone in a bandit skin without first even thinking about the consequences (they're player's too, how did they get the skin etc etc) are like "Yeah live game *cocks weapon*". You say the survivor was shooting his CZ at the red house but there was no inference as to who instigated the fight or if the bandit fought back, just that he was dead and so was the survivor. I for one can't wait for the patch to rid of this hypocritical sense of justification. Not to bash your story or anything, this rant wasn't aimed at you but it's not threadworthy on its own.

The ability to access your flashlight from your pouch using the scroll box without having to first take it out of your pouch to replace your gun or simply making it a 'tool' item would be cool.

Couldn't agree more, even half geared up leaving the familiarity of the coast where you can simply just accept death you would not imagine just how much scarier Zeds got..

Okty, imagine shooting a hostile in the legs and just carrying him about rending him unable to bandage himself so he bled out on your shoulders, it would simply be too overpowered considering we're all on the same 'team'. Unless some artificial grouping system is implemented so that this cannot be done to hostiles/strangers I don't think it would be viable in practice.

Would simply be interesting if skins with desired attributes could 'stack', so that you could still have body armor whilst walking about like a priest. -
Noticed after getting my friend to play the game that when we spoke on direct coms, a Zed from accross the road got pissed off with us and alerted the whole town. This happened on several different occasions where by talking to one another Z's got mad from very far away. I didn't even know that they could hear you that way until just now, but I think the aggro range is quite high if it is.

You should be asleep in the night. True story :sleepy: Either get a torchlight and enjoy the game or if you can't handle the dark find a server that's currently in the morning, it's really nothing to be complaining about, sorry for getting so direct with you but I've seen this kind of comment too often. The reason why its so dark 'compared to vanilla' is that there's 0 artificial light coming out of buildings, vehicles and equipment in DayZ compared to the milsim.

Women and Children Zeds with behavior to befit them (What, was Chernarus just one massive golf club?) All doors finally filing that restraining order on Zeds, No offence but I look at some of these wishes and it looks like some of you would rather be playing a holiday sim rather than a survival one :)

You've gotta understand Isaac, that whilst a train like that in Red Dead Redemption will be cool, just what on earth would be powering it in a world without authority? Where's the power source? You can't even say it's a coal powered train because that would be a totally different sim altogether.. (MineZ anyone? :P)

With all this talk of implementing antibiotics and antivirals my character seems to be more likely to die of MRSA long before the Zeds catch up :)
