I think hackers are worse. But being sniped in Electro as a near fresh spawn from some cock on sniper hill is still frustrating. -

I think the idea could be altered slightly. Instead of spawning as a "prepper", you can find their 'apocalypse' bunkers that will have heaps of supplies (guns, food, basic medical supplies).

There is also a possibility you were sniped with an AS 50 or M107 as they are supersonic and you don't hear the gunshot until after the bullet hits.

I feel like you play alone and to me, playing alone in DayZ is rather boring, especially at endgame status. I always play with at least one irl mate and if we're all at end game status, we hunt out clans as they are a much more challenging experience than just killing off other random players. Just an opinion/suggestion. -
Easy to fix, all you need to do is pick up the stuff under it / next to it and once it's clear you should be able to pick it up. Same thing with medical boxes.

I can kind of see the appeal but I can see its massive limitations. I'd love to see a hunger games type thing where a group of players spawn in at the same time and the last one left standing is the winner. But like I said, implications. -

Well first off, if you're a sniper, you've just made a loud as fuck noise and if you're going to move to the person you just killed and sit there not moving for a moment, I'd say that'd be more dangerous than moving away. If you've killed him close range with a shotgun, maybe it wouldn't hurt, but you're more than likely to be in a city if you've done that with zombies and other players as such who would have heard you and quite frankly I'd rather gtfo out of there than staying back to hide a body just to be a dick. The ONLY strategic reason for hiding a body is if you're camping an area and don't want people to know someone else has died there. -
Go to your Arma 2 OA directory and then go into the beta folder which is located: X:\...\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta Copy the arma2oa.exe file from it. Go back to the base OA folder, rename the exe there to something like: ArmA2OAbup.exe Then paste the .exe from the beta folder. That worked for me (steam version).

Fair enough if he doesn't want to lose his gear, but hiding the bodies is just a dick move and more likely to get you killed. -

As it is right now, it has a few uses: - Fortifying camps - Ambushing vehicles - Dickheads using it to grief Unfortunately for the first two, the last one is a big problem. Remove it. -

It all depends on the situation. Such as location, the gear I have, the gear they have, am I alone, are they alone, have they seen me. And if they haven't seen me, I'll keep my eye on them until they leave. Friendly but paranoid. -

I don't think it does spawn. Not in the current build anyway. Sources: - DayZ wiki: Location(s) N/A - DayZ map: http://dayzdb.com/map turned off all filters except for trucks and only offroad versions came up.

Run it, yes. High settings, probably not. That graphics card is rather... shit. EDIT: Just realized that you said what's in stock... If this is a build then I would say to hold off and spend more, otherwise you're wasting your money.

Confirmed working so long as texture detail is on high or lower (if changed to very high then changed back down to high it will still show artifacts until you restart game). Thanks for this, even if it does make a lot of the textures look a bit rubbish close up.
