Admins at SE 6! Cheating or just pro?

This is just normal cheating. Ignore it as it's not proper admin message. Cheaters cheating per usual and pretending . -
I know this is an alpha, but cheats that people find should be reported to us - not continously abused silently. Manually banned another 10 people today. Usually I dont ban people "right-away" who has an illegal weapon, I just take it away. But in this case it was so blatantly done and after careful consideration I banned those involved with the duping and abuse of AS50 TWS weapons (even when warned on global message / VOIP). Cheating that is blatant abuse on a clan/guild level can put everyone at risk who is involved knowingly. Clearly unallowed weapons will yield bans on all participants (those found with commonly known duped and unallowed weapons). I will become increasingly strict, I know about a bunch of clans with duped normal items too and I will start eyeing those too. These items will be removed eventually, but if the duping continues banhammer will strike. As for cheating. If YOU know you have been cheating or duping. Better remove those duped item tent stores in advance or contact us to mention that you have done wrong but will change your ways Bans that have been given can rarely be reversed, global battleeye bans dont get reversed at all.

Dear serverhosters! :) As you might have noticed, the people over at BIS are working hard to fix bugs and issues. The pace of the patches and development has increased which is very uncommon for a +4 year old game!. The updates have improved stability and decreased the memory trampling which will soon make it possible to add helicopters again (as soon as Rocket removes radar). But to make this happen - please update your servers so they are at least 95208 . There has been a bunch of security and dupe fixes. Also make sure your hiveExt is up to date (0.6.2.1 as of 21th July) . Servers that dont run 95xxx or later will be disabled from HIVE in the coming days (to prevent some nasty dupes). Fun fact: One of the most under utilized weapons ingame is the m4a1 holo . It is equiped with holographic scope and 40mm grenade launcher. Only 0.1% of the playerbase has it in his/her inventory or backpack. It's a great weapon, I really love the close range abilities holo mixed with medium range punch which is a M203 HE grenades (quite commonly found). -

Graphics glitch after a few hours sounds like overheat issues making fault in RAM/VRAM more noticable. Try cooling your hardware better and try playing again. -
They will come back when radars are gone :)

Please update to http://cdn.armafiles.info/arma2beta/ARMA2_OA_Build_95054.zip . It carries the latest BE dll and also fixes some GUID issues. 94876 lacks proper GUID handling so banned people could still play in some cases. -

We're testing the latest arma2 build 94997 on some servers. If more server hosters want to try it out they can. Be aware that there are a few things you need to be aware of: Apart from having to install the update on both server and client: http://cdn.armafiles...Build_94997.zip You also need to install the BattleEye patch that can be found here: http://cdn.armafiles...lEyeARMA2OA.exe If the BE executable update doesnt work you'll need to upgrade your DLL files manually. The DLL files can be found here:http://www.battleye.com/download.html This patch fixes a number of issues. If your server/client was already running 94945 we recommend upgrade. Known issue: Sometimes players get kicked for "bad name" - workaround is to try editing your profile to change name. Or worst case create a new fresh profile.- 251 replies

Alright, locking this thread as 95054 is out. You can download it from our mirror. We'll ask hosters to upgrade as well as it's reasonably easy to install. No manual BE patching etc. If you get a warning for invalid CD key, ignore it and just patch anyway for now. -

Think fair warning has been given now. Next hive patch will be mandatory and older versions will cease working after a few days. Unpinning this topic. -
A clarification. We dont want serverhosters to be the judge & executioneer (banning) due to the fact that it will get misused easily. It's sometimes hard for serverhosters to make a coolheaded decision. I've seen this happen way too often. If you have solid proof of someone exploiting we ask you to file a ticket at support.dayzmod.com with the proof and we'll look into it. As always, we cant discuss the outcome of an investigation but would like you all to know that we do take exploiting seriously and will give warnings and eventually bans for repeat offenders. I'd also like to mention that players who see a serverhost abuse can file a ticket too about this to get a fair thirdparty view. We will either contact the serverhost or take action directly depending on severity of the issue.

Just want to mention, once again. Both client and servers need to run the BE executable to get updated. An automated BEpatch will come in later (according to BIS representatives - but who knows if it'll work rightaway) I will however say that vehicles work much better now with 1.7.2.3 and latest build (less desync, havent had any players teleporting out of cars). Servers that patch will get prioritized helicopter love. ;)
