For people with problems: Download FULL patch fresh from CDN: http://cdn.dayz.nu/latest/@Client-1.7.4.4-Full.rar Install as suggested (@dayz/addons) . Install arma2 build ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/arma2.com/update/beta/ARMA2_OA_Build_98866.zip If this works. Try upgrading to 99202 or 99153 . If it breaks, then report this back to Dwarden (David over at BIS forums / Community issue tracker). Testserver that carries latest test builds is DayZ.nu - SE1 or DayZ.nu - SE2 . Help test out latest builds.

If servers crash: Try: - Downgrade to 99153 or even the recommended stable version. - Re-download the DayZ patch files (make sure dayz_code and dayz_anim is up to date). - Make sure serverside & hiveext is updated, including the DLLs included in the package. ( Database.dll, tbb.dll, tbbmalloc.dll )

Server updated to 1.7.4.4 and arma2 build 99202. Help test out and have fun. -
Updated files on CDN. dayz_anim was missing from the "patch only" file . Updated the thread title from 1.7.4.3 to the actual 1.7.4.4 that says on dayzmod.com frontpage.

You just need to backup anim and code with their corresponding signature files. Then you can go back to 1.7.3 if you want to. -

Respawn times of vehicles have been shortened for public hive. This should solve a lot of the destroyed vehicles issues etc. As for hacking, we're always improving stuff. -

Dogs are out till we get them fixed (hopefully 1.7.5) due to some issues. Try 1.7.4.3 on the DayZ.nu testservers . You can get all the files from the CDN or www.dayz.nu 1.7.4.3 is our release candidate. As for lightning , we just activated it so we'll add in visibility sooner or later to the visibility calculations. As for zombies, I'll check in with the coders if the method has been changed. Let me get back to you guys :) -

Hi guys, Since standalone is getting closer to completation. Dayzmod ticket system is being worked on less and less. I'd recommend using the private hive options if you want to host your own servers for now :) or simply wait if you really really want a public hive access. -
While I would personally not want to play on 24/7 daylight. Private hive hosters are free to do as they want to. If you want to play with a standard dayz (official rule set) help us test new features and stability on the DayZ.nu servers ( check out www.dayz.nu for latest test files ).

Sorry for rough ride yesterday, done a lot of quick fixes that required restarts. Public tests revealed a big potential issue that'd wrecked havoc on public hive :) so lucky we caught it here. Server changes: - 1.7.4.1 deployed (more fixes!1one1!!, you can grab latest files from the website). - BE #45 script restriction is fixed. - 99153 arma2 patch installed. (please update your clients) As for whitelisting, when numbers pick up a little bit Ill add whitelisting too. Need moaaar testers. -

As for the issues getting certificate. Problem was one bad mirror which wasnt updated. (a serverhost that hadnt notified us that their node was down) -

Will increase the ping limit a bit. Also added a reverse timezone for those who play other time of day (separate hive DB). Total tally of last night was 6 cheaters with undetected BE bypasses caught by filters and added to banlists. Lots more data to process so will take a while to catch everyone. The 20min backups are pretty nice though for quick restorations after a jackass trying to wipe servers. -

Hi, Im sorry if it was unclear and if it was a bit hasty. The dayzmod.com is a community that makes no money. Most of us arent affiliated with Bohemia Interactive. DayZmod was initially created by Rocket, but the vast majority of the community working on this mod is not making any money - it's all done in our spare time. -

Eventually. It'll just speed up testing for new versions a little bit. The servers will run like normal otherwise. Each server is basicly on local/private hive . -

Not sure how you spend money making the mod grow. We dont make any money from the serverhosting companies offering services. Anyway, as for your question. Make sure you run the latest server version and update your filters. Check your scripts logs for any spawning attempts. A lot of new holes have been patched. -
Hi, We're looking at tweaking the use of barbed wire. There may be some places where they "shouldnt" be placed. But a lot of barbed wire uses are valid.
