When I said regions, I meant regions ON the coast, where else would you spawn that made sense? Also I'm seeing a lot of attacking each other here. I get it, you either want this or don't. I don't want this, but I want to find middle ground because the people that do will keep complaining and causing problems and will eventually lead to a drain in the community.

Now that I think about it, maybe they should have like regions of spawns that you can choose. Like 3-4 spawn regions on the coast, so your not too far away from where you want to be. Hopefully. And instead of a timer going to the Hive, make it server based for those that abuse death or the button, it's not like they are going inbetween servers doing this, that would take a lot of time.

Well I for one am happy about this... kinda. I always felt obligated to loot the corpses I found on the beach, even knowing they had the same stuff over and over and over again. But there was this one time where I ran north with no supplies like a moron and I was unable to find food so I was slowly dying, if that respawn button wasn't there I would've had to wait since I was in the middle of nothing. Seriously I hadn't seen a lick of civilization for 25 minutes. Then again, my actual second try, I fiddled around and accidentally killed myself on the beach with that button so maybe it's for the best. Those that have a problem with this and say it should return or we should choose spawn locations, remember what game we are playing, it isn't there to hold your hand, you need to deal with what you got. If the button HAS to return, make it so the respawn timer is like every 15 minutes. 5 minutes is way too short and would still be abused.

I dunno, I mean, I'm a new guy, but more people means more guns pointing at each other and so much rage. I mean right now people shoot on sight, even in the south, it's only gonna get worse if we continue allowing this kind of play.

On my 5th life, I got a weapon. It was annoying trying to be sneaky so I decided to by risky instead and it worked, Hacked all the zombies to bits with a hatchet and raided a hospital with pistols and supplies. I have to say tho, it's annoying not being able to do anything when experienced player decide to go noob hunting in the south. (first 2 deaths were from players) At the outset this seemed like a horrible sadistic idea, but now it's alright, makes it more tense and makes getting weapons o so much more sweeter.

Hospital. Has pistols and rarely rifles. And so many supplies! Also in a lot of buildings are hatchets which are weapons as well; crowbars too. Just rightclick them to remove them from toolbelt (right clicking them again put em back so you can have more weapons on hand :D ) The one I'm at is in NE part of the map on the main road, has tons of factory buildings around it. I believe it's Berezino (did I say it right?)

I for one read the whole post, and if I lost all my stuff like that, I woulda wrote it off as a feature. I'm still not sure if that's a glitch or if it's on purpose. Anyways, that sucks man, cheats and hacks are always there, tempting us, it's only out will that stops us from using them. Well that and my computer is buggy enough as it is without messing with stuff, but still, it's alpha dude. I would expect my head to explode any minute looking at a road sign, be it due to glitch or player in this game in the state it's in. Sorry for the ban man.

U mad? I got killed by ramming my tractor into a wall at 5 miles an hour, stuff happens.

I'm a new player. 5th character and my first to actually kill zombies on purpose (my 3rd I ran over a zombie with a tractor but then crashed into a wall and exploded) Anyways, I got attacked by zombies without a weapon so I ran and ran and ran while bleeding so I was down to 6k blood before I patched myself up. I then crawled into a hospital and got oodles of loot, but not a lot of food. So I ran off to get more, no real luck, so I come back, and there's food! Now I've ran away and came back to the same hospital multiple times and I now have a bigger pack, a rifle and all of this, but I kinda feel cheap taking advantage of this, even though my blood is still kinda low. Also, how can zombies not see me crawling on open gravel?

Do it like Minecraft. Community/studio development. Upfront purchase, maybe some microtransactions and let everyone run their own servers with some sort of watch system so they don't cheat (unless the server doesn't want to play nice and allows that sort of behavior). I don't see studio servers working mainly because of huge and horrendous demands. A kickstarter might rival the Ouya in how fast and how much it gets from us. Just make sure it stands out from what it is now.
