    Fan boy detected! Good work on reading into what I said and making it waaaay over the top. When did I say that rocket is being to quiet??? I thought the media silence was a good idea. No game does what Rocket is doing and the reason is that it build hype and wastes time. Do you really read what I wrote and think that I am implying that they are sitting around playing the game to troll us? You my friend are the "fucking stupid" one Its people like you, blind fan boys, who cant take any kind of constructive criticism and act like kids when someone offers "negative" feedback, grow up.

    Not sure why the majority of people think this announcement means we are close to release? Haven't you guys been following the announcements for the last 2 months? Every time a goal is reached, another problem pops up that must be fix before release. When you fix something or add something it inevitably breaks something else (new engine architecture) and I wish rocket had not posted until release was ready. Don't get me wrong I love this game and I cant wait to play but there is no point releasing information to the plebs because people read into it to much and it builds hype. Its like dangling candy in front of a kid and telling him he cant have it while, at the same time you tell him how good it is and how much you are enjoying it.

    What I dont understand is how anyone can have an internet connection and gaming computer but not be able to afford two $30 games????? I have been a poor student but is $30 really worth posting about, you have plenty of time to save it up????
  5. Can rocket or one of the devs please comment on the zombie spawn rates and if this suggestion is indeed possible with the current state of the ARMA II engine?

    Reduce zombie spawn rates while players are present, currently once you kill them new ones spawn instantly and it looks derp
  7. I would love to see bases eventually but I think what we have suggested could be implemented easily now (i think lol) with the engine in its current state (non-standalone). Would love for rocket or a dev to comment on this?
  8. Good suggestions guys, love the raids idea to keep it interesting. Also item spawning would have to freeze but that happens already doesn't it? I have never seen an item spawn when I am around. Badger, your right about not being able to hold it forever but that the idea, would be a challenge to see how long you could hold a town and would encourage survivors to band together to overthrow a clan/group. I think your right about small towns only, cherno and electro would have to just constantly spawn (like now) which makes sense because it had a bigger population. The bigger the town the quicker the spawns?? Ill update my main post with suggestions

HI all, This has probably been said 100 times but I couldn't find it so here we go; * Zombies only spawn once when players get close to a town and then after they have been killed they don't come back until players leave the area. * (if possible) Random zombies raid outside town to challenge positions - Mallissin * Spawn rate or zombies is increased depending on the size of the town eg. Cherno = constant (current spawn rate), Guglovo = only when players leave - Dabigman * Items don't re-spawn while players present or a slower rate to encourage resupply by teammates - jeijo25 This would encourge players and clans to take over towns and would also be more realistic. What do people think? I am sure there might be problems with this but I think it would add to the suspense of coming into a town with razor wire and no zombies :) (maybe make zombie bodies last longer also). It would also encourage fighting for towns/fighting to reclaim towns (teamwork/sieges (sp?)) and not having to worry about re-spawns wreaking the fun.

    Hi Rocket, Have you thought of allowing groups that are spawned randomly on the coast regardless of their characters original location? This would allow friends to play together and still keep the random spawn location. Might have to put a cool down on the adding of party members (causing a respawn) to stop respawn hopping for a better start position. Cheers
  11. I have tried changing the video memory around and it still keeps happening. Or do you mean that I should change the video memory to stop the flashing when it starts in game? Also I have tried every driver under the sun including the latest 12.6, I will try the 12.7 beta tonight.

  14. Hi all, I have had this problem forever on and off and recently it has been drving me crazy! Basically when I am running through a forest (can happen anywhere but usually when lighting is changing rapidly) the screen starts flashing white and then eventually whites out my screen (like a flash bang) and then slowly goes back to normal before starting to flash again etc etc. I have tried googleing it and have tried everything :( *Turning HDR to normal *Lowering video memory to high *PP is off *HDR Precision is set to 32 in arma2.cfg *re-installing/updating drivers for video card *changing resolution Does anyone have any other ideas or has found a fix for this? My specs are ATI HD6990, 2700k, 8Gb of ram etc Thanks all.
