Will one be able to run a server with this mod? Or is it your server exclusively? Is this a custom server software or are you basing the server on Bliss for example? Thus making other people able to host a "real" dayz server :) This sounds very interesting mate. Its alot of the stuff thats missing hehe.

Ive added a Lingor install guide, same as i previously used here :) And ive added a link for a torrent download of lingor. I'll be happy to help you, we might even get some chopper assistance :) ATM the lingor server is having issues with the IP, its not showing up. So i wrote Radiix and hopefully it will be running again soon :) EDIT: The lingor server is running now :D

We will be using the "Byrgesen" brand we have created here :) Radiix is the head admin for the lingor server, as he has acces to the DB. We will ofc be talking every day :) along with all the other admins, and if i go to Lingor i will still be an admin, same for all other admins. Think of this as a coorperation. We use the Byrgesen brand name and Radiix supplies the hardware, for another server :) About the servers. Now that we have this coorperation, i prob wont change away from Chern. But we have the option to run multible servers from Radiix's box, so the events would most likely happen there. This is all new, so we need to work out alot of details, but feel free to post all you would like mate, and we will try to answer :) EDIT: And btw, if theres anyone out there looking for a home, and has abit of photoshop skills ;), we are looking for more members now and we are working on fan art for the new forums :) Feel free to stop by, register and join in on the fun we have.

Rofl, Fraggle you somehow always know what to say to crack me up ;) I am having trouble finding the Lingor server via the ingame browser, so use the IP untill we figure out why its not on the list :) Btw the new server is located in germany and hosted by Radiix, our new friend :) So dont be alarmed about the country heh, its still a "Byrgesen" server GZ on 21k view. going on strong lol

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! We got a lingor server aswell now. That means 2 x Byrgesen server out there :D Stop by and have a look people.

In order to help you we need more information: - Is it your own server? as in hosted from your "backyard" or have you rented the private server? - What software are you using? VERY IMPORTANT as theres over 10 different ones now. Every software has a different setup and a different way of editing it :)

Because people are feed up with hackers and what else crap is happening on the Official HIVE. And because people want to control the server they own, cant blame them really. Ofc you will find the random small dicked child, with admin status, but then you just find another server. This also means the strain on the Official HIVE has lightened ALOT, so they dont have to spend time on "networking" now. They can actually spend time on bugs, fixes and new features. Not to mention standalone ;) You should spend more then the 5 mins you have already, reading the damn forum before you post something as "stupid" as that. And FYI, Rocket and the staff has said they officially like private hive and they are happy it is here. As stated above, password, custom anti cheat script and a shitload of other stuff available to the private hives.

Private server: NOT connected to the official HIVE database. It runs its own HIVE Some private hives (vilayer for example) have several servers connected. It can be passworded, most private servers have theyre own forums to register to get acces. Admins have "unlimited" powers Official servers: They must follow the guidelines by DayZ staff. ALL servers are connected the official HIVE NO servers can be passworded. Admin powers are heavily restricted The main reasons people are using private HIVE now is: Its easier to control hacking, either by active admins or password. Banning and kicking doesnt have to be justifyed to anyone Admins want to control the server they own. Another major plus: The creation of all the private hives have "lightened" the weight on Rocket and the official HIVE, so it has gotten more stabil aswell. And now Rocket can focus on other stuff aswell :)

Your hardware is just fine and i would recommend at least 20mbit connection. The connection really is the most important bit, especially upload. You can try BlissHIVE, the best around tbh. Other then that HBF (or whatever) and Vilayer host private hive.

Look at this way. You can now have multible characters in dayz :D

Im reaching out to anyone with photoshop skills. We need a banner for our new forum. Something with our server name in it "Dayz @ Byrgesen" and some zombies and shit. If anyone is interested, give it your best shot and post it in the thread :) Just a banner to put at the top of the site, would be nice :)

Atm first priority is a waiting game for updates lol. And this thread is getting "fat" heh I would like to organize all the information proberly.

I cant force people to trust other people. In order to gain trust you have to create it :) not my job. And i cant control player names heh We can however "Label" know killers, by putting em on the "Bounty List" and give rewards for killing em possibly. EDIT: A poll have been created. vote guys :D
