Ok. I found out Vilayer is now calling theyre HIVE: DayZPlanet This means some people are mistaken us for Vilayer. WE ARE NOT!! We have NOTHING to do with the stealing theives at Vilayer and we will never have. This is just my personal view of them btw, not the communities. As some of you may know, Pl@net DayZ has run for a very very long time, under Radiix, before we merged DayZ @ Byrgesen into it. So it could seem like Vilayer is yet again taking something that works, editing it and calling it theyres. But to clarify, we have NOTHING to do with Vilayer or DayZPlanet what so ever... EDIT: And gz on the 32k views guys ;)

Its fine for vilayer and all the others to develop, np there. The issue is when they start to develop crap outside of the community, like they are now, and telling people they cant get the codes. Share your stuff like EVERYBODY ELSE ARE. If people didnt share, vilayer wouldnt have gotten a fricking private hive business up and running in the first place, and now they claim to own a free mod, coz they changed a couple of lines? wtf really? So the maps created by fans of arma II are now owned by vilayer? How can that make sense in any world lol Cmon, am i the only one who can see theese companies for what they are? Money hungry capitalists. They are not doing this to make dayz better and if you believe that, you my friends are as screwed as them hehe.

I would leave trouble shooting out, as this is not the palce to support private hive software. They have theyre own forums for that, so theres no reason to "spam" problems 2 places tbh :) But the 3 other looks interesting. How about something like this: Requitment/Server Listing Workbench (for 3rd party maps and all that stuff) and then have the parent forum we have now, as general discussions. I really dont see the need to have support here, when the people who knows stuff about it arent using theese forums to much hehe. As an example: You dont see the creaters of Bliss or Saintly or any of the others here very much, they got theyre own support line. And we all know how people will rage like mofo's, if you have a support forum and cant answer half the questions. I say this for the DayZ staff's sake. You got enough to do But you could possibly redirect people to the private hive's forums/websites if you want. It would be more fitting then having a support forum tbh. You also need to understand, that with the 5-10 different private software versions, comes different coding. Its not the same "fix" for all of them, thats proberly one of the biggest reason not to support it here. If you create something for Saintly, it will most likely not work on the fly with Pwnzor's and Bliss and the others, coz they are all build different.

Yeh thats right, butter away graf ;) GZ on 30k views guys. Amazing :D EDIT: It is now a fact that: - 1 server on each HIVE will be taken down. Shared HIVE was a BAD idea and gave us nothing but trouble. - Timezones will change, again to a static and ultimate setting. Not gonna change anymore. Opposite timezones was a BAD idea aswell. - We are done "testing" stuff out. It brings nothing but trouble. We will find some "standard" settings and leave it there. - In the near future we will have 1x Chernarus Expert & 1x Chernarus Veteran. Theese will NOT share HIVE. - Theese will come along soon after, but we need to get the population first: 1x Persistant Custom Map & 1x Map Cycle / Event Server. All in all, we are talking over what servers to shutdown atm. People are to scattered, we want good populated servers :) This means we have the capacity to set up some of the custom maps soon :) To be a part of this and follow it more closely, come sign up guys. We are not dying in anyway, we just went to big to fast :) So we are compressing it again and doing something else hehe. Note: This will in NO WAY involde a DB wipe or restart. We cannot move vehicles over on a shared HIVE, we would get insane amount on the server and nobody wants that really. There will be handed out tents to people, and you will have a "moving period" Custom map = Takistan - Lingor - Utes - Panthera - Fallujah

This new setup we tested with shared HIVE and opposite timezones have proven to be quite in-effective and have a bad effect on our community. Stuff will change in the near future. We will NOT wipe any of the databases, but we can all agree that the current setup is just to crappy. Population on the servers arent good, and especially with the opposite timezone, people leave the servers when night arrives, and join the other one. So we got 2 servers almost completely empty at all times. not good. I am just telling you this, because we got a debate going on our forum about this very subject right now :) Come join and help shape our great community.
