    DayZ Mod 1.7.5.1 Update

    It would sound like the servers you found did not have the new patch implemented properly, as all the issues you are mentioning is a matter of correct setup, except the zombiers ofc. But the tent saving and wreck spawning is the setup no doubt, as it works just fine if you set it up correctly. It would seem A LOT of people are having issues setting it up properly, what a shame coz that leads to theese "false possitive" bug reports.

    Fyi, that is not possible as it does NOT auto update at all, everything is manual except checking for updates. So if you updated you did it, and its very easy to roll back in commander, just choose another version and install :) Well, ive had fun so far, zombies are way more fun now, make them even harder hehe. Can gut all animals ive encountered and ive pitched a tent which saves just fine. Found several weapons but a very low amount of ammo, which i also love :) Ive yet to see the zombie glitching my self, they seem to wanna use the doorways all the time and not jumping through the wall :)

    Instantly spot you? havent had this happen to me at any point since the update, sure its more difficult, but if you get instantly spottet its your own fault. As for the rarerity, i dont follow your logic. According to Rocket, DayZ takes place a while after the outbreak, aka we lost the battle. This could indicate that all the military got wiped out and the rest fleed. Taking with them what ever gear they had. You also need to consider the way NVG and Rangefinder are introduced into the game, they are crashing with choppers, so they would most likely "die" during the impact, as its fragile gear. Rifles are more robust, thus more enclined to survive a crash. Yet another reason as to why its ok its rare. As for the connection issues, its not a client or server issue, its a setup issue nothing else. If the server and client is setup correctly, theres no issues with connection, what so ever.

    I love how people are complaining about zombies and how it sucks they have become what they were suppose to be from the beginning. They are suppose to be a threat, and communicate with each other. After all zombies still hold some sort of human "instincts", primarily pack instincts as its one of the strongest instincts we have, so if you dont want zombies go play wasteland mod. And i believe the NVG/Rangefinder is so rare because they give you a MUCH higher advantage then a sniper rifle. NVG = can always see, completely lame and misplaced Rangefinder = no more need to use milldots, coz you always know your range aka 500x more efficient sniper. Sniper rifle = ability to hit from long distance, completely skill based if you dont have NVG or rangefinder. Also, small items like NVG and rangefinder are most likely some of the first items to be taken by survivors, as they are small, light weight and very usefull. This could leed to conclude that 90% of them are gone by the time you enter the DayZ world. And fyi, if you had followed the github repo, you would have seen all the stuff they implemented, a looooooong time before it even got into the game. Also, they fixed so much in this patch, and you choose to list 5 of the [NEW] stuff and complain... The additions far outweigh the random whine from people tbh, all in all one of the best patches ever for DayZ with a big amount of fixes and adjustments. And calling the devs bored..... sounds like you dont have any idea of how they are working or how this "community project" works... They worked theyre asses off for this release.

    But what exactly does a good server have to do with admins handing out gear for money? Nothing tbh. Everybody can run a good server with good anti cheat protection, its not difficult. I still think its wrong to give people the option to use micro transactions in DayZ, to get ahead, it simply doesnt belong here, as this is not Team Fortress 3 lol.... And if you cant afford to host, then dont. Theres plenty of people willing to host for free... I am not trying to make the admins look like idiots, but micro transactions in DayZ? Cmon man, do you really want DayZ to be like that? Like WarZ? Coz WarZ has exactly what you are providing, the option to buy gear for real money. Just stop it now, its so wrong. Rely on donations from helpfull people or stop hosting if you cant afford it.

    DayZ: Pre Patch Notes 1.7.5

    Follow the development on Github, and only Rocket knows when the next release of the mod comes, as he is the one who makes the final call. I know theres major FPS issues in the build atm, they are working very hard on it. If you know how to mod Arma II OA, then you could contribute and get it released faster :) Or just read around and get updated on issues, fixes and what ever else you wanna know, theres so much information on the Github Repo, but nothing about a date ;)

    Donation, people will pay if its a good place, we did that....... But giving people options to "buy advantages" is just wrong on every level, are you trying to turn it into a game full of micro transactions? Welcome to Day Battlefield rofl. I understand you need funding, but so does everybody else and they dont sell out like that lol. Give people the option to donate and if they like you enough you will get money, no doubt. Understand you are working and using a free mod, and you are using your own time, out of your own pocket. Nothing else. Wrong wrong wrong.

    ESP Hacks

    Nothing but a log parser, effectively its the same as having a person looking at the logs all the time, EXCEPT, Got-Cha cannot find anything BE doesnt register. So if it can bypass BE, it can bypass Got-cha, simple as that. Atm theres no real way of catching ESP hacks, we can only wait for BE to improve or for another anti cheat to come along. The only things you can do is look at the logs and try to make a desicion based on the content tbh.

    Would rather wait for stability tbh :) The current state of the dev build is not optimal at all. 1.7.4.4 is more stabil then 1.7.5 is atm. So just wait or join the game and contribute with code to try and fix it :)

    How to download 1.7.5

    If you download it from Github, you need to build the PBO's your self. As smash said, its a dev build, not intended for release yet and Rocket is the only one who knows when 1.7.5 will hit the general population, as he has to give the "OK" to release it, at least RAZOR49 says so :) But if you do get it running, be preppared for bugs, thats whats its all about. The current build isnt good and has major FPS lag issues, so unless you are an active modder i would not suggest updating anything beyond the released versions on DZC. Its simply not intended for a big player base yet. The waiting game continues :)

    Base Building DayZ 1.0 w/ Gates + MUCH MORE!

    Fantastic work mate, really impressive :) Have you thought about, either contacting Bliss or the Community Development Team, and make this an official part of DayZ or Bliss? It seems like its server software, but would it be possible to put it into DayZ mod it self? Or have Bliss adopt this as an optional feature :) But good job anyway mate, it looks awsome.

    Server Questions - Dogs & Clothes problems.

    1. Server side Hotfix for the clothing issues http://killzonekid.c...update-on-dayz/ 2.As far as dogs go, thats a hackers work. It might have been himself turning into a dog, since you couldnt kill it, as most hackers tend to be "indestructable". Check the logs for some kind of evidence, perhaps you get lucky. As for the BE restriction #227, you need to compare the output in scripts.log with line #227 in scripts.txt. The .log will tell you what exact process got kicked by BE, and the .txt will dictate what kind of processes are allowed to run in the game. 3. One of the problem here is, hackers make a new version, BE detect it, hackers update and make it undetectable, BE detects it. Its a never ending circle of evil crap :/ Again, its all in the BE logs if they caught anything. But we got soooo many BE logs now, they are bound to find something tbh.

    Hmm on Bliss for the private servers, we have the crashsite, coordinates and loot logged in the .rpt file. Would guess official servers are quite similar at this point :)

    How can ayan4m1 not have been mentioned yet? :) The man behind the Bliss Private Server Solution. I believe he has contributed alot to the community and still does everyday. After all, theres so many people depending on his server package now a days. I wish Guru Abdul was still around, he was the one who started all this private hive development :) Unfortunatly he has resigned some time ago. Btw mister Fraggle, ive had a warning from you since 5th of september hehe, isnt it suppose to go away? :)

    The server owners has to add exceptions to the BE scripts.txt, untill BE get the finger out and does it. Take a look at this blog, it works fine on our server after the exception got added.   20. There will be a new poster up soon with some of the new changes happening. Its been abit unstabile lately but we have settled down now and got all the duck in rows, so to speak. Need to chat with the art mastar, but hopefully a new poster will be up soon with the correct information :) I realise we have lost some people due to the instability lately, thats also one of the reason we made such drastical changes to our setup. But rest asure we arent dead and arent gonna go away :) RL just got in the way of some people and one thing lead to another, well... No need to dwell, lets move forward :) Everything is updated now and rdy for action, so come join the whitelisted fun hehe.
  21. Theres only 1 reason to why people turned into idiots and backstabbers. Its the easiest. Being nice is the hardest part of the game, when you can be evil all you want without any kind of consequense. Introduce consequenses of your actions, force people to think abit before doing shit. Nobody really wants a WarZ with abit harder zombies in lol. Thats not at all what DayZ is about. Introduce consequenses, kinda like on a EVE scale, where you actually change your gameplay based on your actions and what you did. People are acting like idiots coz its so easy and lets face it, if you try to be friendly and get shot 5 times you are gonna go on a killing spree to vent, thats just facts. Nothing will change, untill the gameplay it self gets more difficult and the zombies becomes an actual challenge. Just imagine sitting on a hilltop outside ele, with your big gun. You cant just fire into the city anymore, that would attract several 100 zombies from several 100 meters away. You need to outweigh your pro's and cons before taking the shot. As it is now, you shoot and thats that. No zombie can hear it and they sure as hell wont start to move in that direction. Just not good enough tbh. We need more of a challenge to change the current "trend". Make it easier to be friendly and harder to be a killer, not the other way around.
  22. If you wanna make it difficult to aim, dont make them zig zag. Make them voble and sway like the "real zombies" we know from movies and books. Realism and variety is important. Make some voble and sway alot, make some run normal, make some fast and some slow. That should keep you aim busy ;) As mentioned above, the idea of them running in zigzag is ridicolous. They arent thinking, they are trying to get to you as fast as possible, meaning some will fall over, some will lean and some will run almost normal. Thats what we need. More realistic then a simple zigzag, which wont even result in them getting there faster :) And i bet you, thats the main goal of a Z.

  24. As far as i know BE prevents people from using a "cracked" cd-key, as they need a unique GUID, to not get kicked. But someone will always find a way tbh, just like scripting, you can never be 100% safe.
