    Why dont you go hunt for it, find it and test it yourself? HAlf the fun in this game, is not knowing what will happen mate :)
  2. Agree, this is the most difficult thing, for any 1st person "shooter" to accomplish, simply because we have a flat screen and not a curved screen :) Who knows, curved screen are coming into the market now, maybe they can change the way companies design 1st person view in games? Dunno :)
  3. Ehm, ive played Arma for many years now mate, and i know for a fact that people have thrown up, because of this, ive witnessed it.... So an excuse? i think not :) You have to understand, this is a continuation of the mod, Dean got the chance to make a game and do all the things he cant do in the mod, but its still the same concept and idea, as the mod, they are working from. So yes its a perfectly valid argument, no matter how many people buy SA, without having played the mod, they are simply connected and will always be.

    Well, the whole point of open alpha testing, is to "spew" out as many updates as possible and let people hunt down bugs. This means the game will break, multible times, so the whole "but it is supposed to get better, not worse", is an invalid argument atm mate :) When we reach the middle-end of Beta, you are spot on, but not right now. I think they are on to it, they made some pretty big changes to the DB, and its not always easy to predict how software reacts :) Have to agree with that mate :)

    This night time stuff is very annoying...

    Look, ive got a crappy ass connection here ( 2/2 mb/s ) and i can still play on servers, with a different timezone, without getting lag or desync. You dont need the best ping to play this game, just need to keep it below 150 really. I guess im just to much in love with the idea of realtime ingame, to ever want it actually changed. ​I do see both you're points though, i just dont agree .)

    Another perfectly good reason to stick to one server for now tbh. We are testing atm guys, NOT playing, remember that :) While i agree with you, i still think both are server hoping, but done differently :) Just my oppinion and im sure you dont agree hehe.
  7. This is also a very valid reason, as to why it simply cant be removed like that. We need both, but we need to divide it aswell, so people can do what ever they want, and be sure that others on the server, have the same "options" as them tbh.
  8. Its either this or a constant influx of complaints about it. Good move from the Dev team tbh. It isnt as easy as simply removing 3rd person view, even though i really really hate that crap, but its been there for to long to simply remove it, something else has to be done. This is a good start, and it will "calm the masses" for some time, perhaps so they cam come up with a better solution? Dunno. And finally it gives us (the people who cant stand 3rd) a chance to get away from the corner peeking peasants :) Im loving it tbh.

    Yes, and that is why i wrote the last line mate... But he also stated that he moved from server to server, so we are both right and wrong here tbh. Never said it wasnt allowed mate, im just saying that i really hate people who do this in the game :) Stick to one server, especially in such an early, unstabile alpha, and you lower the chances of your char getting reset, greatly.

    DayZ should have an inventory similiar to CoP

    When i saw that photo, the first thing i thought about was Diablo lol.... But no, for the simple reason, they already spend a HUGE amount of time on the inventory, to get it to what it is now, so starting from scratch with it, again, would only delay the game even further, and it would not add anything vital to the game it self tbh. I actually like what we have now, feel its very fitting to have to place the items in the actual containers, instead of a BIG box.

    Hmm, it sure does sound like server hopping to me tbh. Get loot in low pop servers, jump to high pop to KOS (i presume) How about this: Stay on the same server for a longer period of time?? Try to gather loot on high pop servers, to actually give yourself some challenges?? But they did mention some major DB changes, so perhaps its fucking with our saved information :) Dunno tbh.
  12. Hardcore, HERE WE COME!!! I know for a fact i will never play on anything but that again, always hated 3rd person view in ALL of the Arma games, so this is a brilliant move tbh. Enjoy the corner peeking, you filthy 3rd person view peasants !!!

    If and when they get added

    IF we are to get any kind of armoured vehicles, it should ONLY be some russian variants, and they should be extremly rare, with NON functional weapons ofc. Something like 1 per server, only spawns every 2-3 weeks (except if its already there ofc), it should require a completely insane amount of materials to get it running and it should be impossible to drive on your own, teamwork should be mandatory. But if they put stuff like this in, they also need to put things into the game, which can stop such a vehicle. And then all of a sudden we end up with a lot of military stuff, which im actually against. Have to admit, ive got mixed feeling on this subject.

    Uhm, theres a couple thousand servers already, dont tell me, theres not one with day time on it mate :) Search and you shall find it. This is only a problem, if you stick to a "local" server, which follows your daily cycle tbh. Try a server somewhere else in the world :)
  16. :facepalm: Did you read the warning label, littered all over the place? The game is not a game yet, its broken and its not ment to be played yet, so thats why stuff like this is "not fixed yet". Patience young padawan :D
  17. I know, but BI arent really know for doing huge PR stunts, like we see EA and other BIG companies do guys.... Thats all im saying, i know what PR is and i know BI has it, but they are one of the few companies that DONT spend millions on it. Its a small dev team, they do not have a giant budget at all, so i would rather save the money from PR, and use it to develop the game it self. This game is so hyped it can promote it self, it has done since the beginning, so why waste so much money on PR when you could use it to develop? Dont get it. I see now, i didnt write it the right way, but my point was, NOBODY gives you 100% changelog. You get told what they want you to know, to direct the testing in the wanted direction. A 100% open gaming company is far from reality, it just doesnt work like that. But you are right, i was not thinking a whole lot about my answer there, should have gotten more in depth :) Sometimes you think you are writting exactly what you should, but in fact you cant see the other side of the coin hehe. Apology for going full retard ;)
  18. Yes but most companies dont tell the public exactly what has been done in every single patch, they collect the most important changes and spit them out on a forum somewhere. I didnt say they didnt have community managers, simply stated we will never get to know exactly what they have changed, every single time :) Thats the reason we have mods and community managers and what not on the forums. They are activily talking with the devs from time to time. Its extremly rare you see any of the devs/artists/modelers actually writtin on theese forums, like with almost every other game :) But i have to say BI is actually one of the few companies, where the devs keep the community close, look at BI forums and Arma series, theres quite a few developers active on there. Still, we will never ever get the entire changelog :)
  19. And pay someone to sit there and do nothing but update the public of what they are doing? Naah, thats not really a policy most companies use, 90% of all game developers do it like this and only mention important stuff in the changelog. Ofc they have a FULL log, locally, but we will never see it. Its simple business tactics really.

    ROUTER INTERNET PROBLEMS

    Is your router firmware up to date? How old is the router? I know some old routers are having trouble handling the traffic from never software, simply because the firmware isnt being updated anymore. I am sitting in a 2/2 mb/s line (slow as fuck) and i share it with 3 other people but i have no problems what so ever with the game, or the server list. The router is only 1 year old and fully updated, so that might be the cause of it mate.
  21. Well, imagine the lenght of the changelog if EVERY LITTLE THING had to be written down, it would be a 10 page changelog, in every single patch. I dont blame them for not having either time or resources to write it all down, in a public forum tbh. It was to be expected really :)

    Get to the train to survive - Game mode

    So basicly "Hunger Train Games" ? :D No thanks mate, DayZ should not have any kind of gamemode, except the current "sandbox" we have. Thats the true spirit of DayZ, no rules, no restrictions and no "manufactured" gamemodes. If you want to do something like this, arrange it on the forums and get people to attend the event, simple as that. We, the players, are solely responsible for the events and encounters that is DayZ, no AI, NPC or forced gamemode should ever make it any different.

    What DayZ also needs to be even more realistic?

    I like your idea of having to take off a fullface helmet before eating, and sure let the animation handle it for you and add 5 secs to the eating animation, because of the fullface helmet. Most of the other stuff has already been either confirmed or denied :) We will most likely get wildlife, from the next patch you can pick berries (YAY), and i believe the reason NONE of the RV engine games have had seasons, on any maps ever and is "stuck" in one season, is because the engine was never build to handle it, so it isnt possible (i believe). DayZ is autum and will most likely stay that way for ever.

    Is this OK for young teens?

    I agree with almost everything, but would like to point out, that interacting with people IRL and online are two completely different things and are very difficult to compare. Simply because people online tend to act like idiots, because theres no face to talk to. It makes a world of a difference, to actually stand in front of someone and have a conversation with them. I am just afraid children, who gets introduced to this "culture" to early, will not be able to distinguish the two as well as the ones who have learned how things are in the real world and online, in a "proper" way, thus we end up with millions of people who act like complete idiots 24/7. Just by writing this, i came to the conclusion, this is actually already happening in the world :( My 2 cents :) And no i do not have children of my own yet, but will in a few years. I work with kids though, and have done for about 8 years now. EDIT: Just a quick question, would you like your boy to talk to people he meets in the real world, the same way he talk to the other children he plays COD with? Talk "smack" as you call it. I would be embarrased of such a behavior tbh and some children are having a real hard time distinguishing theese two "worlds"

    Where to kill yourself?

    I am not sure, but i believe this is on the actual development table, as a possible fix for people killing them selves to get a new spawn place. Say if you spawn and die within 10-15 mins, you spawn the same place, die after 10-15 mins and you spawn somewhere else, it could be really simple like that. Think 30 mins is to much, coz you can run really far in 30 mins, if you start sprinting straight away tbh. But also remember mate, that timer is merely a place holder atm, it will increase alot later on in development :) EDIT: Wanted to give an example. Spawn at Kamenkha, and you can run to Cherno in 20 mins tops, so if the timer is 30 mins and you get killed by a player (most likely) in Cherno, 25 mins after you spawn, BOOM, you are back at Kamenkha, not ideal tbh :)
