Basicly a lone-wolf cannot do the same as a group of people and should not be able to, its ALWAYS easier to survive in groups :) Thats simply how nature works, when you are a "prey" as we are in the game tbh. It will be much easier to lone-wolf, once we get animals and start hunting and what not, no doubt, but giving people the option to bloodbag one self, removes one of thee biggest needs to seek out other people. And as far as i know, the core of this game is exactly that, Player Interaction and consequenses of it. Ofc its possible IRL, but thats not always a valid argument tbh, this is a game and there should be multible mechanics, to force people to interact with other people, giving or taking blood being one of them :) Lone wolfing is suppose to be difficult, you choose to stay away from other people, which means you arent able to do some things. Dont get me wrong, i like authenticity, but this is one of thoose times, where it doesnt work in favor of the game. If we start going down this road, we will end up with a giant DM game, nothing else. We NEED mechanics to force people to interact with each other, force players to seek out other players, for other reason then to simply shoot them, thats the whole point of this "2 man baggy system" mate, and as far as im concerned, it would be a giant design flaw to change it.

Theres no way to remove it, this is exactly the same we saw in Arma 3 alpha aswell. They put a half done item into the game and config errors pop up, but as a client theres nothing to be done, but wait for them to fix the item :) -
For those complaining about development pace

Maybe you should look at some of the "real" DayZ look-a-like mods for Arma 3, and see how long its taken to develop, from scratch. As Orlok says, anybody can copy paste content from Arma 2 to Arma 3, but that doesnt make it your work lol. Theres 100's of examples of people doing this and claiming it as "work i have done". Take 2017 for example, its been under development since the beginning of tha Arma 3 Alpha and its still not in any shape to play, havent been publicly released, not even as an alpha mod. So please understand, making things from scratch, with a small dev team, takes a shitload of time. Hence why we where told the Beta wont come till late 2014, if we are lucky :) -
Sorry to burst your buble, but jumping has NEVER been a part of ANY Arma games mate :) Its step over all the way hehe. The vaulting animation in DayZ was created for DayZ and was never a part of Arma, the only thing you had in Arma was mods doing it, but never a part of the core game.

While its perfectly possible to do it yourself, the entire point of this is: If you want full blood fast, you need help, if you want full blood slow, you can do it yourself. Its a simple mechanic, to create some kind of teamplay and give medics a purpose in the game. I would hate to see something like this go away, tbh we could use more "team-mechanics" to try and bring people together, instead of making lone-wolfing the easier, and better choice. In no apocalyptic event, is the idea of being completely independant and alone, a good idea tbh. That is whats its trying to "simulate", when you need two people to give blood.

It has never happened to me, its very consistant and its always the same thing happening. Press W once and press V, you step over, like in Arma. Press W twice and press V, you vault over fences, as fast as a bunny :) This is always the same for me, no randomness what so ever. I would still hate to see the good old step over go away, it is handy for some situations tbh. EDIT: Forgot to add, ive done it unarmed, with melee and recently with an m4 i found, same result :)

The same people who have worked on it for almost a year now, after Rocket moved on to SA :) You can contact RAZOR49, if you want to get in on the dev team for the mod, you just need to understand the codes in the RV engine and how to create mods for Arma 2 hehe. -

Ok gonna keep it short for you :) 1. You bought an early alpha, which NOBODY recommends either buying or playing yet, including the devs.... 2. You didnt do the research required, to join an alpha development process like this, thus you expected it was a funtional game, which it isnt atm. 3. You are now on theese forums complaining about things, you would be well aware of, had you done your research before buying it. 4. Lean back, let the game sit for 6-12 months and then come back and see what its like. Dont take this as any kind of personal attack, but you clearly just saw the game on Steam, bought it and jumped right into it, without figuring out if its even a game for you or how far in development it is atm. So either you accept its not ready to play yet, or you keep on playing a broken game and be angry about it, your choice tbh.

This ^^ I cant even be arsed to read the entire post from OP, because i know most of it is covered elsewhere on the forums. Its funny how joining an alpha development, makes people feel like they need to say the same as thousands of other people, in they're own thread, instead of actually keeping each suggestion seperate, in one thread, and have a proper discusion about it. Has this turned into some kind of popularity contest? People are even advertising they're threads, in other threads and claiming they got the answer for everything. It has to stop, if we are ever to have any actual discusions on any subject lol..... -
This is where the "instancing" of the base system comes into place :) But like i said, if you have a base, in the open, be there to defend it. This sending sms/email/notification crap is a little to much tbh. Also, i believe your middle sentence was for me :) Ofc it could be made for all platforms, but that still gives an unfair advantage to anyone with a smartphone, over people who doesnt want/have one. Some of us actually choose not to have mobile devices, because we wont support the companies trying to "steal" our money, but thats an entirely other discusion. This really isnt needed tbh, it doesnt add anything amazing to the game and you should be there to defend your base, if you have one tbh. Ofc you cant defend it day and night, but thats exactly why Rocket wants the bases to be instances, which are seperate from the Chernarussian world :) As i see it, this is a waste of BI's precious development time :)

It isnt a bad idea at all mate. Im actually for something like this, to make the loot more dynamic, instead of people knowing exactly where to go, they might end up going to a place they usually find good weapons, to find nothing but crowbars and axes :) This is a good, but actually small way, of making the game more dynamic. Although it wont stop server hopping at all, in fact this could make it worse, because people would get more frustrated theres no loot lol :)

Rage Time: Game Mechanics Suck, No Fix For This

Stairs was fixed in the mod yes :) And most of the clipping was fixed in Arma 3, so theres most certaintly hope, they just need time and im quite sure they have spend zero time on this subject, in the variant of the RV engine, behind DayZ. It might take a long time before its fixed, but they still have almost 2 years of development, before they reach the "promised" release date :) Lean back, play something else and boot up DayZ in 6 months, to see whats changed hehe. But i feel you mate, no doubt, theres a lot of wierd "qwerks" in the RV engine, but most of them are fixable, it just takes time to find them and eliminate them tbh. -
You vault EVERYTIME you sprint (dobbeltab W) its not random at all mate... And no, i like the step over alot, use it more then the vault tbh, keep it. Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean it should not be there, especially when its such a small feature and its already in the game. Theres no reason to remove anything, unless its truly game breaking, just my thoughts :)

I did notice when ever i sprint, i always get desync, always, after latest patch :) I do have a very crappy internet connection, so i tend to blame it, but this is perhaps not the case. My ping os also never stabile, jumps up and down from 50 to 120, while im standing still on the same server, so i dunno if it really is my connection, fucking with me, or if its an issue in the latest patch. Im sorry i cant be of more help. That is the case :) Also the devs on the mod are doing it for free, because they want to, they dont get anything for it hehe. But Rocket still has to sign off on the final changelog, before a patch rolles out. This could explain why it takes so long for a patch to come out, they all need to find the time to actually write the codes and make it work, next to they're everyday job, where as the devs on SA are doing it for a living :) -
In fact what you ment was: 10. The more people upvoting the same suggestion, in ONE thread or on the bug tracker, will get more attention 11. Thank you for bringing the forum rules to my attention, i will read them as soon as possible Im sorry if im coming off as a jackass, but you are properly person number 100.000, who doesnt know how to use a forum correctly, in the last month :)

And how is this a problem at all? Not to be rude or anything, but after 25 pages it really seems like you need someone to hold your hand and walk you through the game. People are free to do what they want, NOBODY should be forced to look a certain way, because of they're actions and everybody should have the same choices tbh. This game is ment to provide a challenge, not put big "flags" over peoples heads so you dont have to think on your own lol. Deception is part of the human "nature" we all do it from time to time and in crisis situations it becomes even more apperant, so why would you try to take something like that away? -

I believe this is one of the exact reason, NOBODY recommends you to either buy it or play it yet mate. Give it 6 months, come back and see what has happened. Because right now, you are yelling at a dead cat, for not moving tbh :) I understand you are frustrated, but this is not ment to be played yet, its purely ment for testing (NOT FUN) -
As much as this idea sounds good and "fun", i think we need to consider the amount of work it requires vs. the end result. Is it worth all the hours of programming to get this? Especially when you want this amount of variables, put into the "feature", the coding becomes much more complex and the chances of it going "ohh fuck you!" is alot bigger :)

This Is To Help Companies That Rent Out Servers To Players.

We had this in the MOD and it turned into a giant, uncontrolled, admin abuse, clusterfuck. No thanks, nobody, besides BI, should have anything to say when it comes to what an admin can or cannot do, nobody. For the love of god, dont give admins power like they had in the mod. Sure let them have powers like kick/ban, but no spawning of any kind, no teleporting and please please please, no live tracking of players. We also really need to be carefull, when it comes to giving options like +100 vehicles, spawn loadout and so on. The chances of someone abusing it, is simply to high. And the whole point of SA isnt to "make 100 different games" really, its Dean's vision, this game will be exactly like he wants it to be, so it might not be for everybody. Im sorry, but people got spoiled with the mod, because it was a mod, so now they expect the same kind of "false freedom" in the actual game. I truly hope they wont buckle under, from the pressure, and i hope they will keep theese things out of DayZ for ever. -
Character Just Got Wiped For No Reason?

This is what i do to prevent this happening: Find a server and test if it saves, simply log in run around, pick something up and log out. If you log in the same place, with the same item, its a go :) So i stick to this one server, theres no reason to server hop, to test something, the only reason to server hop is to get loot faster, simple as that. Ive yet to get my char "wiped" because of this "method" hehe, it works like a charm and i stick to one server only. EDIT: Wanna dd, i to have crappy ass internet, im sharing a 2/2 m/bit line with 4 other people, so my ping sucks lol.
