This would most likely be because it has to be done manually and sometimes when you work on something, you kinda forget other things :) Dont get me wrong, you should have your restart, but perhaps you arent getting it simply because someone forgot to "flip the switch"? Perhaps its intentional, to provide more data on this "food issue"? We simply dont know atm :)

Im sorry mate, but how does games like Battelfield and Call of Duty work, when it comes to servers? People rent a server, and choose to pay for it. Dont pay for a server if its overpriced, is it more comlpicated then this tbh? Wait for private server files to come around, it will make you happy. You also need to understand BI need this kind of control with a game like this. They let go completely of control in the mod and look what it turned into. Thats fine for a mod to do, its suppose to be abit chaotic and "open source", but a game the developer is funding and creating is not supose to be a FFA clusterfuck we saw in the mod. Im sorry mate, but while i agree some of the server prices are bit to high, this is the right way to do it and to control the game, in such an early state tbh.

Obviously not everyone is dying from starvation, all the time mate. Testing will be done and they will get feedback :) However, this thread does make it sound abit like something unintended happened to the loot perhaps? This is the exact reason its on experimental, before stabile tbh, so you can stumble across unintended consequenses of the "new code" in the latest build.
-
Dont think about it, just read it, laugh and move along ;)
-
Why? The variant of the RV engine DayZ is based on, is build for this specific purpose, its ideal and far superior to the Arma 3 RV engine, for this exact purpose :) Why should they waste time porting it over to the RV engine variant, they didnt want to build the game on in the first place mate?
-
If the choice is between upgrading an i3 or a GT630, theres no discusion really :) Upgrade the CPU, you will get far more performance in this game with that upgrade, then any GPU will ever give you mate.
-
Isnt that a confirmed feature? I actually thought it was :)
-
Theres no if's when it comes to vehicles mate. Its when, nothing else tbh.

Reduce The Common Lag In Dayz [Tutorial]
byrgesen replied to Sanitöter's topic in General Discussion
Yup, if anyone knows anything about the inner workings of the RV engine its Dwarden :) So yeh, this entire thread just became obsolete hehe, damn :) -
Well well well, if it isnt this old bastard again :D I would love something like this tbh, but im not sure its really possible to do in the RV engine. Simply dunno :)
-
You could try to update to experimental and then downgrade to stabile again, before you re-download the entire game mate :) If theres no obvious fix for this, i suggest you report it on the bug tracker mate.
-
Rofl thanks for the laugh mate ;) Reminds me of this: Back on track: Very true, some people go out of theyre way to make other people's experience bad, but its human nature, in my oppinion. People are exactly like this IRL aswell, most people dont give a rats ass about your experience or how its going for you, and if they cam make your day suck, they get a thrill out if it :)
-
Or you can keep running, which would then lead to disiness and throwing up (hopefuly) :) But thats kinda off topic here, didnt mean to derail anything.
-
Well, that should deff fix the "bug" you are encountering, thats the purpose of the cache check :) Hmm, are you on experimental or stabile? Have you tryed running Steam as admin?
-
Is this an actual suggestion to run slower? I actually think this is a first on theese forums ;) Im not sure i agree, althought 1km in 3 mins and 20 secs is quite fast lol. Im just thinking it will change alot, once we actually get fatigue and weight into the game. Atm you can sprint for ever pretty much, but im quite sure this will not stay that way for ever :)
-
Yeh you tell them DemonGroover!!!! :) Its the new motto for survivors in DayZ: REPORT, REPORT, REPORT!!!
-
Try to verify your game cache mate https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

This will most likely never change, its exactly the same in Arma. It is very possible to run an Arma 2 server from home, but without fast internet, its gonna suck, for this exact reason :) Dont expect this to be "better" in final release, as we can expect alot more data (more loot, more zombies, vehicles, etc.) to travel from and to the client, from the server. It could be improved, i guess, i simply dont know enough about the netcode in DayZ to say that. But Arma has shown, they dont really do any improvements in this "corner" of the engine.
-
This is the second link of that thread, he better use it ;)
-
Yes please :) In the mod we had the "pick up" feature, and im quite sure they want it in the SA aswell. So im sure we will see stuff like this, at some point. Question is simply, when hehe.
-
Have this been reported on the bug tracker mate? If not, you know what to do ;) Just want to say, have any of the people complaining about idiots, been outside recently? As in the real world? Its full of idiots and nothing can be done to "fix" it, so what did you honestly expect in a game, where people can do what they want? :) Act like you want other people to act towards you, and something might change, eventually hehe.
-
Something has been done already, its called the report feature mate :) If you come across such a server, its your responsibility to report it, to the benefit of the entire community. If you dont report such behavior, nothing will ever change tbh.

This^^ It sums it up quite nicely mate :)

Can't join any servers "Confirmation of changes: Bad version, server rejected connection"
byrgesen replied to Anthonydeclendon's topic in Troubleshooting
Wait for the experimental servers to get online, but realise they are exactly that, experimental :) Theres only a few of them up and they get filled up almost instantly. So if i were you, i would lean back, stay on stabile branch and wait untill the 5-7 feb, for the update to stabile :) You can always opt out of it mate. Right click DayZ -> Properties -> Betas -> NONE - opt out of betas Now if it doesnt start to update the game right away, close steam and run a "Verify integrity of game cache" to force it to check the files :) Should do the trick just fine.. -
Can't play: "You were kicked off the game. Battleye: Client not responding"
byrgesen replied to Amagous's topic in Troubleshooting
This is an Issue in Arma 3 aswell, and i think i read somewhere it was a problem connected to Steam. Every once in a while, steam looses connections for a sec or to, with the main server. This means BE looses connection aswell, and if its not regained fast enough you end up with this :) I cannot promise you this is 100% accurate, because i simply dont rememebr where i saw it (BI forums somewhere) But im quite sure this is whats happening. It hasnt been fixed in Arma 3, but its gotten better, so dont expect a "wunderfix" for DayZ any time soon :)
