So with the release of 1.0 can we finally see modding available for private servers? Not personal hosted servers, but private servers provided by server hosts? If not, why is this a thing?

This just me? Getting 30+ FPS in cities... used to get 50-60 in .63. This just a me thing or is anyone else having this problem?

Got it, search by name and IP. Click to the right of where it reads that, don't click the name. The boxes are the same color as the background.

So with the upcoming and imminent release of DayZ 1.0 everyone is concerned about the game and if it will get the love it so desperately needs. The issues we have had in the past my simply persist over to the new build but here's something we need to start doing, and I implore you all to think on this before we move into 2019. The game has been out for (give or take) 5 years. We all love the game, otherwise we wouldn't be sitting here on this forum waiting for something to either happen, or explode. Stop with the posts about "Oh my God, the sky is falling!", and try to turn over a new life. If you don't LIKE the way that this game is currently going then may I strongly suggest you STOP PLAYING IT. Seriously, the constant tears of people who are butt hurt because they spent 30 U.S.D on an alpha game and then it didn't turn out the way they wanted has come to a breaking point on these servers. Am I angry? Yes, I am, but I won't be making post after post after post spouting toxic nonsense and "The sky is falling!" threads day after day just to tell the world that I am mad. This forum has become the proverbial child in a grocery store who is screaming because he/she did not get the candy at the checkout counter and their lives are ruined. If 30 U.S.D was that much of a break point for your finances then maybe DayZ being unplayable isn't the thing you should be focusing on. If the game isn't living up to your expectations, then... Maybe, JUST MAYBE, go find one that is! Unless you're playing in North Korea, then nobody is forcing you to play a video game that you don't enjoy. You can, and probably should go find another title, because if the past 5 years of development haven't showed you where this train is going, then i'm sorry nothing will. Take a step back, figure out what you're so angry about and instead of crying non-stop learn WHY developers post early access games, alpha and beta access games to Steam. This game was an EARLY ACCESS ALPHA for five years, then it moved to beta, now we're coming to release, figure that part out and you'll be well on your way to enjoying this game.

You will know at the first road map. The first road map is supposed to come out at the start of the new year.

The only servers posted are experimental servers, so.... i'm not entirely sure what you're going on about. Servers aren't even up.

If the mods locked your previous post, you -probably- don't want to go against their wishes and post the same thing again man. I mean, just saying.

Server crashes alone are not causing persistence issues. If you think that it's crashing alone that is causing these problems, then you're either naive or not testing properly. I've went to two different providers, Gameservers.com and Fragnet, both of those servers are having persistence issues not caused by crashes. There are so many other issues that need to be fixed before you move on to new and exciting things. I mean, we don't -need- horticulture right now, it's nice you added it but food provision is not a problem right now in the slightest. Fix the issues currently in the game before you move on to new stuff.

I'm not sure if you're being obtuse, or trolling. I hope it's trolling. I am honestly not sure what you're wanting me to say here, we posted a video... a VIDEO of the issue and you decided to be clueless about it? I mean, the issue is... the steering wheel turns, on its own without anyone in the car and the wheels aren't moving to show this has any affect.. so... I mean I don't know. You can get almost all the information you need to deduce the problem simply from the video, but I can break this down for you: 1. The cars not running, no sound of an engine, so it's apparently not running. 2. The steering wheel is glitched and moving on its own. This is shown fairly clearly because there's not a person seated in the drivers seat. 3. The turning steering wheel isn't having any affect on the car tires at all. Now, since you have moved this OUT of the troubleshooting area (which I am absolutely baffled why you did that, by the way) and put it in the LOL LOOK AT THIS area, I don't think the issue will ever get "Troubleshot" or even so much as resolved. For future reference, it's probably a good idea to ASK if it's meant to be humor instead of just taking an arbitrary stance on something. I mean, that's probably a good idea. Right? Right?? Right. Put it back in troubleshooting and try to stop posting in this unless you have anything constructive to add to the general rotation of the earth around the sun. Thank you, Happy Holidays. It's not, we're having to roll the server back to when it was working every single time in order for the stuff to stay. Don't know how much longer we can keep this up. ..... ok. We restarted the server, walked up to the vehicle and it was doing this. This is on a fragnet.com server. No mods, pure game. Current patch. Um... cloudy outside, low of 53. I just had a fairly large thanksgiving dinner, so my stomach is slightly full. Anything else I should add here? I mean this isn't the bug report area, I wasn't aware you had to give a full bug report here... not even sure why we have this redundant forum when we have a Bug Report area, and the Issue tracker. This is like putting white paint on snow.

Fragnet.com private server is having this issue. After maintenance we can't get anything to save, and anything new built doesn't save. We have to roll back the server to get things working. Would love to know a fix to this.

So recently myself and a couple of other people created a server that we were using as an organic roleplay server. Unfortunately, nobody else was following the guidelines we were using because, well, it wasn't a private server. So very recently we all migrated to a private server and we'd like to throw a general invitation to anyone else that's interested. Ignore the server in my signature, that's the old one, and it's public. The new private server is Bordertown - Organic roleplay. We have very few rules other then No hacking, No Duping, No Glitching. The server is pretty free form, if you want to roleplay as a bunch of bandits, then by all means make characters there, make a little backstory of why you're looters / bandits, and come on down. Oh, also one other thing. If you can't make a character name or can't take the 30 seconds it requires to google the answer to how to change yours, don't bother. I will kick every blasted person who can't figure out this simple requirement.

It's not a validation issue, it's a server issue. All steam clients "IN THEORY" should have been updated to the newest version that was launched this morning. The issue is, server hosts are not updating their servers and thus we are getting bad version errors.

Do you happen to know what was the company who hosted that server? Because I may be switching to them because Gameservers.com is absolutely horrible with customer service, updates, etc. I mean it takes them at least 12 - 18 hours to respond to tickets and after three weeks, they still haven't solved my major issues.

Hey at least your server updated. The majority of us server renters are paying 40 bucks to wait for our hosts to get out of bed/sober up long enough to fix the problems.

I am actually only seeing two things right now, jack and shit, because my server host hasn't decided it was important enough to update the server files. So i'm left twiddling my thumbs until one of them gets done watching The Price is Right and realizes they need to take the servers down for an update.

From what I understand, you can't revert back. Unfortunately you can only wait for your server host to update their files so you can join. So, much like me, you're stuck waiting for your server host (I AM LOOKING DIRECTLY AT YOU GAMESERVERS.COM) to come off lunch/realize/do the jobs you're paying them for.
