Are you people stupid? I mean, take a moment to consider that question before you answer it. Lets be realistic for a moment and look at the state of the world the game puts us in. It's a destroyed world, completely barren of anything people would call a goverment and society. These people are survivors with one thing on their mind, surviving. Have you ever watched 28 days later? Let's look at some of the quotes from that movie to guide us here : It started off as rioting. But right from the beginning you knew this was different, because it was happening in small villages, market towns... and then it wasn't on TV anymore. It was on the street outside. It was coming through your windows. It was a virus, an infection. You didn't need a doctor to tell you that. It was the blood, or something in the blood. By the time they tried to evacuate the cities, it was already too late. The infection was everywhere. The army blockades were overrun, and that's when the exodus started. The day before the TV and radio stopped broadcasting, there were reports of infection in Paris and New York. You didn't hear anything more after that And some good ones from Mark : I remember my dad had all this cash. He thought maybe we could buy our way onto a plane, even though cash was completely useless. Ten thousand other people had the same idea. The crowd was surging. I lost my grip on my sister's hand. I remember the ground felt very soft, and I saw I was standing on people. People who had fallen. Like a carpet. There were infected in the crowd- it spread fast. A world with no goverment, no police, no anything but the will of a person to do what it takes to stay alive. You really live in a small sheltered world if you think if the world came to an end right this very minute that humanity would all strive to get together and start over. That's bullshit. You're looking at what would happen if there was a zombie apocalypse. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure somewhere in the world there will be a handful of people trying to put things back together and get things back to 'normal'. The rest of humanity would be doing everything that was needed to make sure their families survived and if that wasn't possible that THEY would survive. Stop pissing and moaning that people aren't playing Arma II Call of Duty where you have your clear cut teams with boundries that are set in stone. This game is a survival game first and foremost, and if you're not surviving then you're losing. I won't be feeding the stupid people beyond this point, waste of my time. EDIT: PS - You want to see what happens when people start running out of supplies? Look at the starving areas of Africa when a food shipment comes in. Look at Hurricane Katrina when it struck New Orleans. THAT is what happens when the world you live in comes to a screeching halt. Don't feed me that happiness will prevail bullshit that you get fed daily through your televisions.

I'm looking for a server with the following criteria : Third person : On Crosshairs : On Map doesn't show people around you Must be able to see waypoints No name-tags Admins don't own everything on the server / hide shit off map to keep it theirs. I've went through several servers and every server i've gone to has had admins hiding vehicles off map or restarting the server if they lose their equipment. Yes, i'm looking DIRECTLY at you Atlanta 59 Admin. Every vehicle on the map taken, all of them hidden off map. We thought about playing on your server, but the only thing we could find to repair was a bike. That's it, everything else is gone, we checked all the spawn points. You have a base south of the NW airfield that is surrounded by barbed wire and tank traps, don't worry, we stole all your gear and moved it off server prior to your rolling it back to fill those same tents again. We even went back and checked them to make sure that is what was happening and yep! Full tents! It is completely stupid that admins have this kind of power. Then you have Chicago 59 and UTO who one of their members is using the hack that allows you to find all the vehicles on the map. That same member and no, it isn't Loster4 bless her heart who is completely blind as a bat, can pick up people who are prone in guili suits who haven't so much as fired a shot and kill them. I've died a lot in DayZ, I know when it's my fault and I know when it's stupid bullshit hacks that happen. It's getting so out of hand right now that Battleeye REALLY needs to get involved in this because I feel like i'm playing Battlefield 3 again with all the blatant hacking. So, LOOKING FOR A SERVER that me and my friends can migrate to with the above listed things. Prefereably an Atlanta / East Coast based server if you would. Thanks in advance.

I have no issue with hoarding or tent cities as LONG AS THEY ARE WITHIN THE MAP LIMITS. The shit gets stupid when people set up tent cities OUTSIDE the edges of the map that shit gets a little dumb. I applaud admins who go out of their way to delete those tents of people who go out of bounds to hide their equipment. I think this game needs something like what is in Battlefield 3, you go out of the limits of the maps you have a few seconds to turn back or you die. Problem solved.

Sounds like you were banned from a server for breaking the server rules. When you pay for a server, you can dictate what happens there and who gets to play. Until that point in time if the admin tells you "DON'T SPAM/TALK IN SIDE CHAT" then maybe you shouldn't talk in side chat. Their rules, your job to follow them, appeal it with the server admin and let them fix your issue. If you're nice they may let you back in, otherwise pick a new server.

Where is the proof? Where is the proof they were hacking? You can not come to the forums and make baseless claims that someone is hacking and expect the admins to jump on it on your word alone. I could even say YOU were spawning weapons for example and tell them to ban your account on my words alone. The admins and people who deal with this need proof, pictures, video, logs, something that is solid and that they can put up for people to use as evidence. Coming to these forums and saying someone did it without proof is pretty much the same thing as starting a witch-hunt.

Ok that actually clears up a lot of things and actually it shows that you're already taking this into your own hands. But thanks for telling the community to stay away from the server :) Good job on this find.

There's a lot in here I don't understand and I don't mean from the complete lack of punctuation through this post. 1. How do you know this is an 'admin' camp? 2. Where is the proof of it? Are you positive that this is a camp of theirs and they are stocking it this way? Did you take screenshots of the tents and what they had there? 3. What weapons did you see there specifically? 4. How do you know the admins are auto-warping to this camp? You did not mention that they were being killed by your group, so did you witness this? If yes, did you fraps this happening? 5. You mentioned that the admins have a 'starter' kit. How do you know they spawn with this gear? Have you killed one when he spawns? Did you kill him when he teleported to the camp with this gear? There's a lot of air in these accusations and a lot of it doesn't make any sense at all. If you could provide a little proof of them doing this then that would go a lot farther then simply coming to a forum and posting this. For all we know, you were the ones hacking and got kicked for that reason. Now don't take this as me accusing you of this as it's simply a statement, but you see my point

As an ex-Eve Online player I learned quickly not to trust anyone, ever, at all. I now live by the idea of shoot first / ask questions later. Most of the time I survive because of this, sometimes I die.

I am a bandit. I play this game how it was meant to be played, realistic. This is not world of warcraft, it is not modern warfare with your US / Russia cut and dry teams. This is not Battlefield 3 with cut and dry teams, this is a survival / tactical FPS. Here's a tip for survival that you can take to your grave, don't do stupid things that will get you killed. If you do things that are going to get you killed and then you die then who is to blame but yourself? Not the bandit, he's doing what would come natural in a situation such as this game depicts. Stop hanging around Cherno / Electro for 4 - 10 hours a day and go north to where there are not quite as many people. If you hang around spawn towns and die all the f'ing time while you carebear around zombies then maybe the game is trying to tell you something. It's a zombie apocalypse, what do you expect is going to happen? People are going to sit around a fire and sing Koom-baya all night? No bud, that's not how it works. If you trust people then that's your call / fault, not the other persons for shooting first and asking questions later. Life is all about survival of the fittest. If you did die, then you weren't the strongest now were you? Be the Lion or be the Lamb. I'll be the Lion, thanks for your beans.

I didn't find this anywhere else, so forgive me if I am incorrect. The DMR has a bi-pod. Is there a way to extend is to your weapon rests on it instead of have the floating crosshairs? I want a steady aim, but holding breath doesn't work and the bi-pod doesn't seem to lower.

Ok before you say anything, I have searched and found multiple threads in regards to this issue. They all describe the same thing that is happening to me and a friend and we're both running on two different PC's. The issue is that we are running decent PC's and the game will load fine and as soon as we load in our game freezes every few seconds. The issue is not FPS related that I can tell, as this problem persists regardless of high or low settings. The specific details are that we can be moving at any time of the day or night and the video freezes on us. The audio continues in the background but it almost seems like the whole server freezes for us (which I know is not the issue). My current system specs are as follows : Current Date / Time: wednesday, June 20, 2012, 8:10:41 AM Computer Name: IntPC-001 Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit (6.1, Build 7601) Language: English (Regional Setting:English) System Manufacturer: Intel_ System Model: DP965LT BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo PC E6850 @ 3.00 GHZ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Page file: 2472MB used, 4688 available DirextX Version: DirectX 11 Current Graphics card is : GeForce GTX 560 I ran several programs that said my PC should run this game just fine, and it does on things like the loading screen. But this situation happens in single and multiplayer mode so i'm stumped. If anyone has any advice i'm open to suggestions. I've put the following in my 6 Launcher just as I was told on one thread : -nosplash -noland -winxp -world=empty -maxmem=2047 -noCB -cpuCount=2 I'm not sure if running this in windowed mode will solve anything but if someone thinks it will help I will do it. I will try this, I also tried Gamebooster 3.5 beta, this seems to be helping a great deal. I was able to improve my graphics to where it doesn't look awful AND I don't get the freeze frame as bad as I did.
