As a rep for my gaming clan that the above player is a part of I tried to take matters into my hands to get this resolved. I went to the mumble of the players in question and their response was that my entire clan was hackers and they would be banning us for such. When I asked what information they had that proved this they said they didn't but they thought we were hacking. I have filed a server report in regards to this group. Clan in question : ArmoredFist.net

Am I missing something in that? Could it possibly be that it was something simple like another player named Harry joining the server?

No, you won't be banned players for running around with hacked weapons, read the rules of hosting a server. If you ban players for reasons other then what Rocket has stated then you will be Blacklisted from the Hive and removed. Be smart, follow the agreement you took when you wanted to host a server or get Blacklisted. Lumping players who pick up hacked weapons into a category of hackers just because they picked something up they didn't know was hacked is against the rules and will get your server taken down / black listed.

You can't be banned for picking up hacked weapons, only for scripting them in. Anyone who tells you different doesn't know what the hell they're talking about because ROCKET said you can't.

Nothing will happen to your account if you take hacked weapons. Nothing, at all. Period. You can not be banned for using a hacked weapon, only for scripting the weapon in. See Rockets post for the details on this.

No? You can't be banned for using hacked in weapons. You can only be banned for scripting the weapons into the game, not for picking them up and using them. I can give you the quote from Rocket on this if you like,

I've never understood the concept of using upper case letters on every word you put in a sentence. Who is teaching kids these days to do this? Isn't it more trouble just to make a sentence in this fashion or is it something like an attention whore kinda thing? Hoping someone points out your flaws? Is that it? I guess i'll never figure it out :( Almost makes as much sense as the people who put 10+ punctuation marks at the end of every sentence they type out. You would think the problem would solve itself.

I absolutely love how these people were watching the cheat forum for this thread to go up. Irony that every name he gave (or most of them) are passing beans between themselves. Gotta get them some way I suppose.

Then they were wrongfully banned and should have appealed it. You can not be banned because you found a hacked weapon on the ground, you can be banned if you scripted the weapon into the game. If you are banned because you found (and used) a hacked weapon then appeal it, the admin by all rights MUST remove your ban or risk their server being blacklisted for admin abuse. See Rockets post on what you can and can not be banned for on a server.

I am a happy fat guy because today I found the gun I have been hunting forever for :SVD Camo. First time in a month of playing I have had this, and i'm very, very pleased.

The script will be in the server logs, can't remember where but it's there.

Rocket has said you can not ban for players using hacked weapons. Unless the player was spawning those weapons then he has done nothing wrong except asking a person for weapons.

13 people were on server at the time, had just killed a guy in south barracks when I went to north barracks and there it was in the hall.

Game time will be 10am server time and suddenly it will go dark and be 7pm server time? Is this a bug with the server itself or a new script the script kiddies have found?

Wait, hold on. Some guy came to this forum and gave away their camp, invited everyone here to come steal their shit and then when they did go there they got killed. They then called everyone there a hacker. They found a lot of ghilli suits in there (30 I think) and that was called hacking. There was no evidence of hacked weapons shown but they were hacking. They then locked the server to move their camp because of see above and people call foul on that? This is effectively griefing on the forums part. One guy told you all to go there, you did, you killed their people and griefed them so they were forced to move their camp. All of you pretty much server hopped (ghosted) into their camp or at least i'm sure a LOT of you simply logged out there on another server then logged back in on top of it. So you got banned for breaking the rules, you ghosted these guys and thus got banned for it. The best part is, people are randomly getting shot at by snipers because theyre forced to CAMP their own base because of server hoppers and people die so "Oh they must be hacking.". Look, I don't support duping or hacking, but I also don't support people who find stockpiles of loot and instead of thinking (Man these guys spent a lot of time working here) they think (Wow look at this gear, what a bunch of hackers.). Not everybody who kills you is a hacker. Not every camp full of loot is hacked / duped. People DO play this game more then you and camp loot for the reasoning of having camps like this. Get a grip, not everyone other then you is obviously a hacker. We get more "Cry wolf" threads on these forums then actually hacker posts, get realistic. As for them locking the server? Shit I would lock it too if I had the entire DayZ forum hopping over to steal all my loot because some guy posted it for public knowledge. Is that against the rules? Yes. But would I do it? Probably, simply so my clan didn't get griefed constantly and were allowed to enjoy this game.

You think Punkbuster is any better? Play a public game of BF3, it's just as bad (if not more rampant) there as it is here.

Although it is considered hacked gear, on a positive note you can not be banned for using the gear unless you were the one who scripted it in. So all in all, you are safe but if you are like me it's more a sense of morals and losing all your old gear to now be using hacked-in gear.

Let me analyze this video: Name tags were on, so yes they saw you through the tree. You didn't hit them once when they were moving. You hit them while they were stationary They then crashed the heli for some reason or another and you ran here to scream hacker. Be realistic... I mean... you were running full tilt and your aim was all over the place. Did you actually watch this video and believe you laid into them with that 249? Furthermore, 249 saw is a pretty useless weapon considering it fires Stanag and it's only saving grace is it's got less noise then a mk 48.

All I read out of this thread was : You died so they were hackers. You saw a weapon you thought was a G36 and therefore you came running here to tell the world about how much those hackers hurt you. Not the first to do it, not the last, although this one had a pretty video showing you can't shoot to save your life.

PS: I know you're full of shit because I run 52 ping on that server and Battle eye would have kicked ME had that been the case.
