Me too, bases or cars just arent worth the hassle at the moment. If they introduce a helicopter or whatever the rumor was, I would have to be pretty sure it was going to be ok. The last car I did, killed me and that was an effort. .. . looking for nails and carting planks around the scenery while being chased by wolves or shot at by players isnt really conducive to a long game . .. Easier to stalk around with a tent in the deep woodlands. I didnt want to get started on stuff lost to persistence . ..

I dont know the economics of running a server for BI, other than supporting a game sold by them, suggesting its in their interests to maintain servers.. to encourage buyers In my opinion I dont think its just a case of people not buying the game, as they must have sold so many licenses in the past. Its a case of people retrying the game they remembered enjoying, finding they still enjoyed it, but the faults still remained the same, and so use tails off. A server I was on from multiplayer which is an official server has gone from regularly hitting max (60) between 4pm and 12pm CET, to barely getting above 20 in the last week. As I said before, if numbers dont pick up, I would imagine a reduction in server numbers will occur at some point. Looking at history the last big jump was for the free weekend and the big 1.0 release, so for the numbers to go up BI would have to do something in the same order. Or another discount, Steam was offering a 10% discount a while back, I dont know if they still do. The village (my current) showed a dip after apex but seems to have recovered, so you might be able to say private servers are healthier. (On a survey of one its not statistical, but I hope its going to be a keeper. Another server I was on has shut down so I lost my character) But I dont know how the economics of private servers without subscription works either .. .

is that weapon an sg5k or usg 45? on the pc its roll the mouse wheel, but it doesnt use those sights youve circled for the sg5k or usg 45. it uses the base iron sights ..

I dont have an M4 at the moment so I dont know. I dont see many M4's I have an sg5k, with this I get the choice iron sights then acog - sorry ATOG . . . I remember it being the same on the usg 45.

A lot of the current servers only started from the free weekend last year

It seems to me (hopefully not the onset of paranoia) when you are not looking for a thing, you find that thing, and when you really want or need something you do not find it.

on pc you have the option to use either ironsights or the optic. ironsights first. I use this otherwise you have the sights taking up inventory . . . Can you not do the same on xbox?

dont know but could be . . . sometimes its almost like they see me . . . they stop, look in my direction and start heading my way. Even when I am travelling quiet. They also seem harder to put down. It used to be one shot to the chest or head to put them down. Now it seems like three to the chest (still one to the head). Last night was followed by wolves (far from a marked wolf spawn zone), watched a wolf put down over 9 zombies with no apparent damage. Five of the zombies were not dead but still, surely some damage must have accumulated to the wolf? I shot the wolf and then had the five zombies crawl after me . .. . I killed three wolves, and they seemed to dissipate.
