Hopefully we are yes. This is the graph from the free weekend. You can see the decline (slight) to the start of April. At that point you had the marketing for the xbox, and maybe the parents bought it for their kids . . . and they thought hey why not try it again. You also had the stable 1.02 release as you say. I know in my family group, parents have pcs, kids have xbox. This is the area I think you are talking about with the spike around june 2016? . In my opinion DayZ was dead from mid 2017 with average numbers of 2000s peak numbers in the 4000s. I would suggest only the enthusiasts were playing. The free weekend brought me back into Dayz and this peak equates to the june 2016 peak. . .. I saw the article in PC gamer, I think . . I definitively wasnt paying it any attention between 2015 ish to dec 2018

not sure it was just modding, the increase also coincides with the release of the xbox full version. The numbers have increased by about 50% from march 2019 (from peak to peak). Before the xbox 1.01 release the player numbers had started to decline again. If we go back further we can see that dayZ on pc was pretty dead by oct 2018 until the release of the free access and the game at 1.0 on pc These increases this year demonstrate that there is still significant interest in DayZ as a property (going beyond the 4 million licenses stated sold (source - wikipedia, sold until nov 2018). The numbers for the free DayZ weekend also clearly demonstrate interest in the game to BI management, I would suggest, that DayZ has a future as a property and is worth further development. DayZ is currently 70th by Steam stats player numbers I would expect a further increase in player numbers with a ps4 release, which could be in the near future now that xbox is aligned with Pc. Looking at the past timeline of BI releases, I would suggest ps4 will possibly come in late July. We also know that we have a 1.03 incoming imminently for pc (I would predict exp in early June), with a 1.04 planned (sept??). This work planning shows BI has an interest in DayZs further development while the marketing is somewhat chaotic (non aligned/homogenous communications on different platforms) it can be said that DayZ is following a No Mans Sky schedule. It remains to be seen if DayZ achieves a similar turnaround. Hopefully the xbox and ps4 releases have/will provide the funding for further development I have my thumbs pressed/fingers crossed for a good outcome

unfortunately for me, I havent found anything like this in my travels. I dream of finding such a shangri la/city of gold . .. though I am watching several bases being built now. . . . and hoping . I mostly find random empty tents (not traps, well I didnt die, but I did the usual "approaching mil base procedure"), or cars in various stages of assembly with miscellaneous random junk in. I just wonder what I am doing wrong . . .

if you cannot find a jerry can of fuel, you can fill other containers with fuel from gas stations. You can then drive the car to said gas station to fill up completely. Possibly quicker and easier than finding a jerry can Last jerrycan I found was in a military area, and when full (usually so far) it weighs over 23kg and you either need a big rucksack or you carry it in your hands. It completely killed my stamina . . . almost as bad as carrying some of the other car parts .. As Ive said before, when I started building this car, required carparts started appearing in the local area . . . I dont know if i was imagining it but . .. .

if you die, everything you have on you is gone (assuming no friends can loot your body for you to save your stuff) Anything else, your base, tent, barrels, buried stash or car will still be wherever you left it (assuming no one else has found and raided it)

at a guess, I would say they were directly behind you . . . they saw you loot the base and thought, lets see what hes got . .. every now and then I tend to do a "crazy ivan" . . . to check for such followers

doesnt take too long to learn . .. some of us have been playing variants of the map for years because of the mod and arma2. The size adds to the experience stuff happens, adds to the experience. it would truly be boring without that edge. That and they prefer banditry to looting maybe. Dont really know, I never managed to talk to one. Most times they start shooting or chasing on sight (when I dont have a gun, I run. So far I havent killed a player . ) . . . no discussion I do most of my long distance travelling at night. With the new nightlight its become even easier .. . just not so good for hiding in trees (tree lights up like a christmas tree (IMO)) if you think it was a bug, report it . . . I am on pc so it wasnt me in the power plant, also I tend to live in the woods character life depends, the server I am on had a wipe recently so I had to start from scratch . . .died to kos (as a fresh spawn) and am now on the path back to a good status .. . but before that it was easily a month. You just take it as it goes The game is one of those vegemite moments, you either love it or hate it .. ..

Kind of also means that someone knows you operate in that area and is watching you . . . . time to move on . . . or you have to find out where they operate

it doesnt need doors but it helps to keep the zombies away when you drive through them .. . I didnt get hurt last time anyway and they were pretty much all over the car . .. Even though a zombie got me through a barrack wall and a cabin wall just yesterday

I found a car the other night, it was all ready to go . . . I just took the weapons . . . and rounds .. . nothing flash though. no svds, slrs, M4s or Akms unfortunately though not touching cars anytime soon

met two friendly guys, today . . . KOS/friendly rate drops below 80% .. . but a zombie got me a good one (on the way back). .. didnt die, but equipment damaged again, now looking for duct tape/sewing kits. The environment is still the bigger killer (environment/KOS/friendly)

The stomach symbol went on as I puked, normally (ok, before) it would go on and I would stop drinking . . I havent been to a water pump for a while

All I can add is that I drank water from the pump, until the full stomach as usual, and then my character started throwing up . . . if they are going to do that on clean water there needs to be an indication to the user that you are approaching capacity. I also note that I get colder faster, in the rain and swimming.

as I said above, its the same as KOSing. its easier than looting (Except when you have nothing . .. I just died on the beach from KOSing, and all I had was a flare . ..and he chased me forever. . . . fired no end of rounds missed, but that last one was the critical one . . . )

All my clothes are now damaged, from encounters with zombies that will not go down . .. ) its just the same as KOSing, its easier to raid and rob than it is to loot and acquire. It would be nice if, with a spade, an axe and a gun you could go into the woods, and build a small well disguised shelter that you could store stuff in, safe from wolves, only from the trees and other raw materials around you. from your cpuz the system is running at the lowest setting 667 (1333) relax, nb frequency isnt something to worry about, the system sets it. its just higher than I am used to with such low speed ram. criticism and questions are always good, I do get things wrong now and then. it might be worth pulling the 4GB stick out and just running with the 8 GB stick and see if you have the same issue. Leave the bios on auto for the RAM and put the 8GB in slot 1 As per my pc it is only using 6,5GB playing dayz, just maybe not high action .. things are quiet in the woods . . .
