game only really uses about 7GB of ram typically do you have an ssd and a hard drive? Whats the size of your ssd?/hard drive is that really an i5 760? Whats the ram on your gtx 660? it was running ok until when - 1.01, 1.02 or?

dont know, I dont remember seeing many pistols in Tisy. Usually I got the FX45 from other locations, last ones in Elektro (on a very high pop server (not from player tents)) Also relative to say Jan Feb March, average weekly players have gone from 9600 to around 13000 in April and 15000 in May/June. Last trip I made to Tisy, I was mostly seeing clothing, bags, boots, rounds, radios, and attachments. With the release of 1.03, there was a complete server wipe on my regular, so I started on the beach and it took a while to get round to Tisy. It was tough to get on for the first two weeks, and the constant crashing, and I didnt get to any mil base for a while. When I did get to a mil base, there was nothing. At release 1.00 I would usually find a AK or an M4 in a mil base. More AK's than M4's. One time I had a choice of four M4's. I even found an SVD At release 1.01 Where I found AK's, the SKS was spawning in numbers. The CR527 made an appearance in houses At release 1.02 Where I found SKS's, I found them massively reduced in number. I never saw a LAR. The Tundra made its appearance At release 1.03 The SKS was rare. Ive not seen a VSS, nor an AK, nor an M4. And its not been for lack of trying relatively I am still finding Mosins, CR527's and Tundras without any "real" problem. Shotguns, bk18's, pistols and skorpions are pretty common. The SG5 is more common than the USG, at mil sites. Ive also just found two SKS's in a lucky break in a mil base. Nothing else. The point I am trying to make is that BI seem (in my opinion) to be juggling the spawn rates of each weapon as they release new ones, and reducing the spawn rate of the higher powered. With the higher player numbers and rush directly after release of 1.03 I doubt now I will see high tier weapons. You talk about the CLE spawning in some type of weapon, if the others are maxed out, but other than the latest SKS's I found I havent seen anything. Just lots of misc stuff. Last mil base I raided (after the SKS base), I came away with three M4 mags and rounds . .. its almost pointless me picking this stuff up, but I always have hope. I can see I am going to have to start digging into the server files . . . . Surely someone has a comparison of these spawn rates over the releases? The other option is to swap to a low pop server, as I dont really see many players on a very high pop server. And when I do its usually terminal (70%) as they have these high powered auto weapons. . .. . and theyre camping. I am kinda edging towards camping the campers, but its going to take a major change in my attitude/philosophy to other players. I havent shot and killed a player yet, deliberately. I try to be friendly . ..

yep, completely agree. Lifes too short . . . enjoy what we have, give them feedback when they ask for it (bug reports etc). a number of other game houses have done the whole keep quiet and release stuff when its ready .. . (no mans sky) What does bother me is all the feedback platforms to scan . . . . . . . Discord, this forum, reddit, steam, and twitter Dayz. It would be nice if we could count on one path to up to date information. I would suggest that this forum is good for Bohemia, and should be the lead .. . . . getting information before the other channels .. .

I m currently finding large numbers of tents (not seen a car tent yet), mostly set out in the wilds. If I wanted one, I could have taken them, but I prefer to bury stuff. Tents seem to be the new mil bases . . . no good guns though yet As I said above, I think the early birds got the good guns, the CLE only allows so many . . . . Duping is not meant to be an issue on pc's . . . .

for me on pc, its fifteen seconds. personally I dont really care if someone logs, mostly I dont shoot people so I dont see it. When people engage me, mostly they are campers and I die. This attitude (not shooting people) is under review, too many people shoot on sight >70% What would bother me (if I was engaging) is if someone logs and then comes back ten minutes later and shoots you. What could be done is not to extend the logout time (because if someone is going to log, they will), but set the log in time to one hour later. How would that be? That fixes the people wanting to immediately log off for personal reasons, and stops people combat logging for strategic advantage. To reduce duping, set the server to hard save the character, before offering the logout (fast or slow) option. Crashing the server, set everyone to the beach and wipe (making it clear that this is what will happen, assuming current server crashes for other issues is fixed). Ghosting/server hopping, Ive said it before, you want to hop servers, youre going to the beach (fully equipped).

Join the club, I dont think you are the only one. Last time I was at Tisy, I died . . . . Pistols are still pretty common. SKS appear for me now and then, my friend and I got one each at another mil site. I dont think its a bug, as I have seen it on several public and community servers too (not server hopping, I have characters on several servers), I suspect that they have changed the CLE. Also you have got so many items going through each spawn point. For my personal server (just me, private) going through Tisy, guns were appearing. After 1.03 dropped you couldnt get on my regular server (public), it was so crowded, and I think this has also contributed. These early guys got the good guns. Now the server is lightly loaded again, no AK's or M4's. The guy that killed me at Tisy last had an M4, but I suspect he was diappointed when he looted me (if he survived, zombies were all over me and my mate shot him) as I had no M4 stuff.

details from DayZ wiki yes plate carrier is the best, followed by the ballistic "press" vest then the stab vest this is my take on the numbers . . plate carrier 40% - bullet will cause 40% of normal damage assault vest 90% - bullet will cause 90% of normal damage The numbers are somewhat confusing, with "zero" you can assume it gives no protection, but what then does "one" mean? yes to be protected (survive being shot) you need one of the tactical (40%)/ballistic (50%)/combat (50%)/assault (50%)/hardhat (50%) helmets. On youtube there are the videos showing no facial hitbox, so these helmets are complete coverage. I think they showed a makarov taking seven shots to put someone down, three shots with a AK I got shot with a plate carrier and hat and was knocked unconscious (by an M4). So its plate carrier and helmet for me next time .. . If I can find a plate carrier, I wear it with the pouches. The weight bug was a pain though - almost zero stamina. I dont know if thats been fixed yet (Im on pc and I havent found one recently)

thats not going to stop most people. I always carry a spark plug, a battery not so often, but often enough. I go hunting cars, and I find more cars than tents . . . Last car I found that I had to leave (with stuff in it) was a car (sedan) missing two wheels as well. There are several cars that I am/have been watching, that players keep putting stuff in, so I dont believe there is a persistence problem Everyone thinks they have found the ideal hiding place . .. . 80% of the players will agree with you that its the best place .. . and hiding it off the map is no longer an option . . . hasnt been for several variants of DayZ

Any mil base you probably wont see them, but you will see a black screen (you are dead). .. . secluded areas on a full server, I bump into one or two regularly . . . ( but they dont see me) yes .. . dont get in a car . . .. . . . .

My mother doesnt need it .. . most of that spec is for me (Im paying by the way). . the most she does is look at facebook at the family and grandkids, etc or emails . .. . I could easily halve the cost for that usage . .. . I was running dayz on an i7 960, with a 780 ti .. . . . until a year ago. .. now I have two high level workstations to choose from with a 4k graphics monitor .. . exactly, the consoles can/will (in my opinion) never match a pc. the new scarlett specs seem to be more dreaming than reality . .. . but we shall see .. .

Im not sure you can call it lag, I have seen something like this with a friend of mine. His character seemed to literally float over the terrain, and on occasion he would be teleporting across the terrain. As you say appearing then vanishing then appearing 20 or 30 metres ahead. On other occasions we had the following .. . In this picture we are crouch walking down the path. But he "appears" to be snow boarding . . . his legs did not move . .. all the way along this path

night vision goggles dont bother me, we have had a night vision sight that worked great for a long while now, Ive used it a lot. The difference is only ease of use. As a disclaimer, I do not currently have any night vision goggles, or a night vision sight. Not even an M4 or an AKM . .. Most times I die in daylight, last time to a camper with an M4

totally agreed. The new experimental apps (in my opinion) seem to be pointing to more versions coming, so things are looking good for the future. .. The money gained from the xbox and ps4 will/should also cover that development, and all three platforms gain. In Dayz Bohemia have an elemental property, like Arma or Tombraider, that they would be crazy to let die

I dont know which xbox you have, but at some point, surely you will be upgrading? xbox 1s $199 to $300 xbox 1x $399 to $499 this is the pc I am building for my mother . .. beats xbox 1x on all counts and should last her for the next ten years (no she doesnt game, the cpu, ram and graphics card are for me when I visit) This pricing could be squeezed more if you went to the minimum dayz spec, or if you went AMD. you could cut $60 off this by going to the gtx1060 and be equivalent to the xbox 1 x $30 off going to 8GB ram at 2666 This would play any game you care to throw at it. . . . I currently play arma 3 on a ten year old pc . . .. which is about xbox 1x equivalent

You really dont need a top end pc to play this game. You can easily build your own pc for a little more than your console . ..
