Its pretty unrealistic that zombies can always catch up to you. I think they're running speed is set a little too high.. idk if I'm the only one who thinks this. But in real life I'd be able to outrun a zombie.. there's no way that mofo is catching up to me. What do you guys think? Even as a fresh spawn with nothing on you, even if you take off your clothes.. you still cant outrun them.. hopefully they will update and change this

I just find a car to stand on, shoot one zombie, the rest come running. And they cant hit you if you're standing on a car

Does anyone have this problem? When you hover over items in vicinity it doesn't show you the description of item, only when you hold it in hand. It's not a big deal but its annoying to always have to pick up the item

Also you used to be able to outrun zombies before. Actually what was funny was that you could make a zombie chase you all across the map.. or a whole swarm. It was pretty awesome that way and the after a certain update, not sure which one, it was changed and the zombies are faster now

i know they're dead. But some of these zombies are like 80 years old there's no way her stamina is better than my asian character who's about 35 years old... you cannot tell me that

This would be an awesome feature.. if you just need a couple planks or something to build up a cover on the window from the inside, it would be great for night time when you want to hide out in a house instead of building a base and all that

uGH the worst about shit disappearing is youll find a gun, then you're running around for about an hour or so trying to find ammo, then yay you finally found ammo, load it in your gun, the gun disappears from inventory? It's gone, nowhere on the ground, not in my inventory. i'm left helpess with zombies surrounding my house and all I got is a compass and knife lol

I think your right, the spawn rate of assault rifles on private servers is a lot better, and I think its because people can't carry ammo and weapons from server to server, therefore doesn't affect the spawn rate

It might have been , perhaps your right. Or maybe a bunch of people already have stashed m4's and VSS etc.. and its affecting the spawn rate of them since they are limited in each server.

The problem is not the people, its BI and the devs. Why did they make it so the server list is organized alphabetically..thats the dumbest thing ever because you know people are gonna be doing that shit. If they did a normal filter on the server browser so you could sort high to low, instead of just sorting full servers? which is also dumb cause why would I want to sort the servers and only see the full ones? really doesn't make sense on xbox AT ALL

Lol they said there's like 8000 servers.. you dont need that many. And even if you want to play with close friends you can still get a 100 slot server and keep it private play with your friends

I think whats happening is people are bringing m4's and ak's into the high pop servers from the low pop server, making the high pop server less likely to spawn another m4 or ak because someone has already brought 5 of them from another server, so it counts towards the total of m4's that can be in a server. I don't know I didn't make this game and im not a dev but someone really should be looking into that...

Exactly. that's just it. Dayz has always made their menu and server browser so hard to deal with despite their updates to the server browser. Private servers should be filtered out by popularity not by name, that's just dumb

Damn that sucks man. I thought they would be treating you better as a customer who's paying that much towards a server. I don't even understand why they sold servers that have the option of having less than 20 slots, or 10 slots? whats the point? if you want to have a private server the options should have been 40, 60, 80, 100, because now there is all these random little servers with 10 slots or less and nobody even playing in it. (unnecessary to have that much)... and the prices are steep too.

Is there a way to run around with night vision goggles on, like put them on the tactical helmet? Cause I have the tactical helmet and night vision goggles but everytime I want to look into the night vision goggles I have to select from quick inventory and hold RT to look through them?

Perhaps it could be bad luck, but I've been playing for over a year now, roughly 4-5 hours a day give or take, always joining high pop public servers, and I've only ever ran into 2 helicopter crash sites in all that time, and found nothing at them Shotguns, pistols, and hunting rifle and their ammo is everywhere, those bigger guns are def harder to find, so its hard to say. Maybe people stash them once they find them after the update, and eventually there is none left to respawn in the server if everyone has them on themselves or stashed?

I agree with you. I was running at night time on server 8226 , a high pop public server and ran into a helicopter crash site, could barely tell what it was, I just seen black smoke in the sky, and there was NO ammo or guns or anything... just a couple zombies

lo don't take it to heart. All im saying is I enjoy the intensity... when your heart gets pumping cause you see some guys walking in the night with flashlights in the distance.. or you're walking down the road and run into a gang of guys, you have to make quick decisions.. that what makes Dayz a unique game. I guess you could sit around in a private server by yourself, walk around the whole map find some m4s and clips and material for base building, build a base and sit around making campfires.. but whats the fun in that. They need to make a priority on public open servers, make base building fair, make it so that some chump and his buddy cant just come along and destroy it, they would need specific materials to do this, not just an axe. The economy in the game is decent right now... not a lot of m4's and aks that I've seen but its still pretty good. I have yet to accomplish getting a car together or building a base on a public open server
