    Car tents

    I've always found them in the single garage/shed that has the double doors on front and single door on the side. Found in most medium to large towns. I've never had to go to the larger cities like Cherno to find them but have found them in the large cities too.

    You'd have to ask the server owner to increase the amount of silencers that get spawned. I had to do that cuz people hoard a lot of the time. And if you run out of duct-tape or gun repair kit or forget to check if it needs fix'n, they don't last very long. Especially if you rapid fire with one.

    Cars on my server are already assembled. They don't fly around or knock you out. They are above ground and not glitched. Some fuel, water, oil(optional, but highly encouraged if you want it to last) and spark plug and your off. Since car parts are plentiful, if you wreck it's no big deal. Replace the parts that are bad and your back on the road. Or just find another car. Oh yeah, did I mention they don't fly or kill you? Is it laughable that its a 4x4. Yeah, pretty much. Any incline on any road type is a massive issue. *Sigh*

    It really depends on the server honestly. These are things that can be modified server side without using mods. It's what I do for my server. Weapons have a increased chance to be pristine and 50% chance of spawning complete with attachments and magazines (pristine or not). Since I use the WeaponRedux mod, a lot of the new weapons spawn at the police cars/guard shacks/heli sites and so do the attachments which means I had to increase the amount of police cars that spawned to nearly triple. Same with the heli spawns but had to bump them up to over 6 times the default amount. Now you don't always have to go to military sites to get kitted out.
  5. I have no pbo's modified. If I use equalmodrequired = 1, you can't join. VerifySignatures = 2 is set by default but players still connect without installing mods. VerifySignatures = 2 worked til 1.0
  6. Already using DayZ Launcher Mod Sync which does basically the same thing. It not only updates the mods on the server to the latest versions but checks each client prior to connecting to make sure they also are up to date or give them the option to download the mods if they don't have have them. This would eliminate me needing to use equalmodrequired = 1, or so I though. I guess something about the current version of DayZ has broken this feature. I have people connecting without using the DayZ Launcher from the client side to join and I can't stop them. If I use equalmodrequired = 1, no one can join. Otherwise, everyone can join no matter what. 😭
  7. I just did a fresh install of my server, using equalModRequired=1 and I get an error saying "Bad Version" and I can't join. At this point, No .pbo files have been modified. I'm using the following mods: @BaseBuildingLogs;@ConfigurableMetabolism;@DayZ-Expansion-Chat;@Easy Signs;@KillFeed;@OP_BaseItems;@RPCFramework;@Simple Roof;@WeaponReduxPack If you use equalModRequired=0 , everyone can join, obviously, but they do not have the mods required to play on the server properly. Not sure why when no pbo files have been modified I still can't join my own server with equalModRequired=1 enabled. I use the DayZ Launcher to join. I also have DZSA Launcher installed on my server.

    New Feature: Hatchback can be fixed after crashing them! YES!!! Thank You! New Feature: Z's don't drop after one bullet (non-head shots). Harder to take down. Now we're talking. It's survival after all and they're already dead. Fixed: Tents camo stays in place when you toggle the flap after server restart. Bug: Tents entry flap is open by default after server restart. May not be a bug unless its a persistence issue? A very minor issue either way. Bug: Hatchback tires cannot be fixed with tire kit. The rest of the cars parts can be replaced if damaged though. Bug: Can tan animal hides to make leather and dye it with color, but can't sew anything together with the leather sewing kit to make clothing or backpacks. (bug or still not finished?) Bug: When filling up canteens or water bottles at alternate sources such as streams, we don't get the popup action. However sometimes they fill up anyway but its random. Using iZurvive currently to mark and keep track of the locations where this works until a fix is implemented. Bug: Running from Z's to hide in carport/garages, the double door ones...nope. They come piling in after you even though the doors are closed. Not enough bullets, FFS. Forgot my yellow and brown pants. Laughed afterward but it wasn't funny at the time. I hope this will be a relative easy fix for the next patch.

    I run a community server. I'm only seeing minor issues so far. Most of which I can live with currently. I noticed upon updating the server, everything was wiped. Everyone joining was starting out fresh. Again. Fine, no problem. Bases, tents, cars, barrels, buried items, gone. Well alrighty then. Good thing I backup my server twice a day right? Restored player database. Back to where I logged off prior to the update. Awesome. Oh, wait. Everything else is still missing. Did a full server restore. PRESTO! All is well in the world of Z. Here are the issues I see on community servers like mine: 1. Update wipes the server. (If you're smart enough, you've set auto backups. Just restore to prior to the update) 2. Tuna cans can be opened. Its just hit or miss. (Can't get one opened? Find something else to eat) 3. Inventory, anything that holds over 90 items does lag. The more it holds, the worse it is. Accessing a car tent with a car in the tent, now there's some lag. WOW. The dark semi-transparent background is different. It has its merits and downfalls. Either way. Meh. 4. Issues with Z's not jumping over low fences and running in place only to magically run through it once you're close. I wont make that mistake again. Also, meh. For me these irritants have been minor. Bugs will be bugs. Its nothing new. I struggle to see why this is a surprise to so many of you especially when you've been on this pilgrimage for years. I agree with @nuggit. Enough with all the toxic bashing diaper baby attitudes. You're not helping. State the issues you've found, provide your findings, screenshots, etc. Constructive feedback. Not sure what that is? Ask the Google once. To all those at BI continuing with the future of DayZ, THANK YOU! My server seems to be having less issues than most. This could be because it is a community server (private hive) and I don't use mods but simply edit the pbo instead or use scripts? Just my two cents.

    Vehicles stuck in ground. Any fix ?

    What are your settings for the 'events.xml' for the Hatchback? And is there anyway to speed up the respawn times?
  12. Recently Hatchback spawns are now spawning with the bottom of the car level with the ground. The axles are flush with the ground and half the tire is then below ground. Approaching the car, sometimes it begins to twitch or spin. If you get in the car or get too close, it either knocks you out or kills you. If you can wait long enough for the car to stop having a seizure and for the tires to stop spinning, once it has all the parts in it (this has to be done all at once), you can hop in and the car sits on top of the ground like its suppose to. However this results in the gas tank being damaged to the point that a full tank leaks out to empty in less than 15min. Is there a reason that the spawns are slightly below ground, killing players attempting to get in them before they are properly repaired? (Screenshot will be forthcoming)

    Hatchback Spawns below ground

    Does anyone know how long it takes for new car spawns? I've been going around and destroying every hatchback that is glitched into the ground (every single one so far) and not a single car has respawned in the last 5 days.

    How To Enable Heli Crash Sites?

    It appears that the crashes are spawning, however they despawn before anyone can get even remotely close to loot them. I've reconfigured them so more spawn at the same time, adjusted the "Lifetime" in hopes they last longer. Shouldn't the cleanup area be less than the Distance radius?   16. Are base construction and tents (player tents and car tents) combined with the vehicle.xml? I recently increased the number of hatchbacks and the only way to force new spawns was to delete the old vehicle.xml. Unfortunately that also deleted 2 bases and the tents! Is there anyway to stop this from happening or to create separate databases going forward?
  17. events.xml, increased the hatchbacks to max=80 and min=80. They have horrible performance and cant drive up a hill that is more than 10degrees even after filling it with water, oil and a full tank of gas with 4 pristine tires. A hoverboard has more horsepower. LOL! With the changes below, I have plenty of Hatchbacks, there is no way they are 4x4.   18. The server provides no reason for being kicked when MODS are installed. There is no current method for new and returning players to know if mods are even installed/required. They only notification that is provided is "Player Survivor has been kicked" from the server side and the player sees "You were kicked off the Server". From what I can tell from the logs, I've lost at least 8 players in the past 10 days due to this issue since adding Vanilla++ for Da0ne admin tools. I've been able to speak with only one and he though the server was having issues until I explained mods were added. He was planning to simply move on to a different server! With Arma III you at least could see what mods were on the server when you were searching for servers to join. Besides having an incredible LONG SERVER NAME to describe the mods installed, what are the options? Are there any plans to remedy this issue? There is no point in installing mods if our players have no way of being made aware.

    They can't join mine, but I need to find out how to change the generic "you were kicked off the server" to "you were kicked for missing mods" or something similar.

    Players get kicked if they dont have mods on my server, but it doesn't tell them they were kicked for not having it. It just says they were kicked off the server.
  22. My server populates parts for the V3S but none of the chassis are populating. Once again, by default the events.xml has this item disabled. Are the V3S's not ready for deployment?     I'm definitely not have these issues on my server, but then again, I'm not running an "official" public hive server. I went with a community private hive server. Of course anything anyone does on my server does not translate over to the official servers. But the hatchback can be fixed and driven without trying to kill you and bases and tents stay put.

    S D SC: Server Message

    Is there a way to turn off the small capital "S" and "D" that show up on start of EVERY line for server messages? I don't know of a single player that has a need to see debug letters in front of every server message. Now that I've installed DaOne, now a "D" shows up after the "S". Debug messages should be in reports and logs. Unless its because this is the latest experimental build? Still, showing up for every server message line is a bit absurd.
