Så what is the appid for servers to download Livonia ?
-
Good ideas. Perhaps the sickness could kick in by a small chance if you get cold. (might already been implemented, but I haven't been sick ever except when drinking foul water). So when wet 1%, then light blue maybe 2-3% and 4-5% when dark blue and 10% for dark purple for every min. When dark purple, here your health starts to drop since you are now in hypothermia. This make it hard to move around, takes longer to interact with things and you perhaps lose your vision in some extent. This is over a 20-30 min period. So you still have around and 45 min to find a solution to your problem.

Been playing Livonia for a while now and the weak part on this map is dehydration and coldness. If it rains for 5 min and you can't get a fire up (middle of a forest) you are dead even if you take cover in a house/shed. (What happen with the cover under a tree? ) Also when it stop raining you get dry/healthy temperature in an instant so no need for campfire and warm you up. Perhaps make the coldness something that takes time to be low/high before you start taking damage. In that way it can rain longer. Zeds are cosmetic and not doing any damage at all. I let a zed hitting me and it took like 20-25 times before i died from full health. Basically you can just have a fist fight with any zed and not taking any considerably damage at all. Being to close a campfire and your temp goes sky high and you start losing health. Else a very nice addition to DayZ.

That sound like it will add anything out of the box TM still , I have all that already with my scripts. Still it won't parse and edit and update the XML/CFG whatever files and changes to my OWN addition in game . Thanks for posting. Still my scripts detects a semi crash , meaning that the server is still running but no one can connect, and will close it. I also have a csript that rolsl back a few min after each crash/restart to make sure the persistence is there. The only thing I want is that the when a mod get an update , giving me some time to change the configuration and THEN update before. I couyld easily make a script that easily detects a new mod , copy it and restart the server. But still that can mess up the database.

Yes, I am running two servers, One that is using purely server mods and "vanilla" and one that is using quite a few server mods. My problem is the one with "quite" a few server mods. Since the last patch 1.04 I had to update my server mods like 2-3 times every day. It might not sound so much but one mod gets updated in middle of the day, another one release a update late night (CET) = My modded Server mostly are inaccessible. Since I work in the day and sleep in the night. (However I do check and updates the mod in the middle of the day and can update it when ppl ask for it) It has been like this now for a long time and it pretty much a pain i the ass. There has to be another way to implement the mod system to the community. Please let players join a server with an older mod if they have the mod in their cache and the server is running that mod. It can't be that hard to implement. Since we can't package the server mod into one singel mod withput getting copyright infrigment , you have to come up with a system that gives credits to the modders when loading (since it seems to damn important for some modders) I do understands the work behind the mods but seriously, not a damn players cares about who made the mod. They just want to play. So I ask for some kind of collection system for each server that using some types of mod without repacking it, which make it less vulnerable for repeated updates. And let the server admin to updated it once a few days. Instead if having to stay and check each hour if the mod have been updated or having some pm in discord that they can't join the servers their players playing on in the middle of the night. Best Regards Relic

Give Clients one week of grace period to update clients.

I don't think you can disable the Client Update. The only choise you have is to Automatically update the game files when released or when click play. As for now I am still trying to get my second server up but , One mod was discontinued and someone else took over which delayed everything. Moders updates their mods like 3-4 times = bad version constantly the first 3 hours. And that is 3 hours of my game time instead of wait for a few days till everything has settled. But nope, I am still trying to iron out some issues with bad version I have atm. If you had the option to Update client later so would that been better since I wanted to conrtinue to play with friends but nope. -

Well, if that was the case then everything would be fine. Why do you think I started this thread for ? -

Oh Guess I am stupid, I was probably intoxicated since I have no memory at all that I voted already XD regarding ServerNightTimeAcceleration so have in mind that nightaccelerator becomes TWICE the value you have in serverTimeAcceleration. In this case it would be 24x faster in the night with the value 12 and 2 in case someone want's to know/didn't know -
Something that concerns me a lot is, that everytime there is a major update and there is large-scale updates, modded servers tends to go offline due the mods won't work anymore. Some mods can be disabled but the major ones that has contents ingame (and if disabled) so will the items be deleted upon a server start. I suggest that you give players an option that after a major release, to be able to play on the previous verion for a while to give the moders some slack to have time to update their mods. And in the meanwhile be able to play with the old client, isntead of being forced to update to the new version. Last time, my server was down for one week due some modders didn't updated their stuff. I know most modders update their stuff quite fast but on some occasions they might be away on vaccation or whatever and not able to do it. So I don't see the harm in having that option in steam. Please consider this option BR Relic / Devil's Breath

I think the only way for them to fix the persistence bug is to have the server to make two sets of Databases files. If server was closed unexpectedly it should go after next start for the copy Database that was made 1 min earlier. Pretty much what I am doing. Except I get crap load of Backups which I delete from time to time. Then it is up to each server owner to make frequently backups in case of other failure.
-
I will post my fix here that is free for everyone to use. It is important all steps are followed. EDIT : I changed the link to Majorgeeks since it seems the link i README to the Bat To Exe converters page contained authedmine.com . Meaning when you download it will use you CPU for bitcoin mining as longest you stay on the page. http://www.filedropper.com/persistencefix_3

My server is doing a backup every 3:rd min. When a crash/restart occurs it check whatever it was in a middle of a backup. If it was it scraps that backup and takes the one earlier. If you going to do this you need to check the amount of files you copy (which are 16) if you copy the entire storage_1 folder, cause pretty often files are locked due write from server and the result is that you only copy 3-4 of them. When my server restart it ALWAYS copies back a set of backup files , meaning it is actually in-game database when server was running. So far I had Zip problems with persistence. Only drawback is that people lost 1-3 min of progress due restart or crashes but everything stays. The reason I think is that when server writes and lock the files and server crash that file becomes corrupt and a new one is created.
