    High traffic area's?

I spent a good amount of last night hunting elk near Black Mountain while braving fog and heavy rain, then slowly navigated my way to Black Lake before heading South and ending my night near the northern outskirts of Berezino. The server had a decent population (42 when I joined), but I didn't hear much gunfire coming from the city... probably due to the fog and rain. I had to use my compass a lot!

    Just found...

I was on that same server! It was creepy being in the deep woods with that fog and heavy rain, but I did finally bag my first elk! Navigation was very difficult as I attempted to head towards the coast afterwards and I've never had to use my compass so much before. It was a very realistic and fun experience and YES, the sound of the rain was nearly deafening, luckily the elk are freakishly loud!

    Backpack inventory theft

I've looked through the topics and I apologize if I missed this anywhere... In the PC version, I've seen players loot (steal) from backpacks being worn by other (living) players. Can this be done in the Xbox version? I haven't had the gall to try this as it's just not within my ethics and I wouldn't dare get that close to another player with their back turned to me.

    Noob Alert!!

Are you trying to connect to a server? If so, I notice that if I let the game idle long enough on the title screen for my controller to turn off, it bugs out the "A" button functionality to allow me to connect to any servers (though "A" still functions as it should while choosing options). Restarting the game fixes that every time for me. I hope that helps if it relates to your problem.

    Headshot Zombies

When they implement broken legs for players, it'd be awesome if they did the same for zeds... I'd be capping them in the knees and watching them crawl! xD

    Running Bug

I think I've encountered the same thing. When standing your character stutter steps and when crouching moves REALLY quickly? If it's the same one, going prone (lying down) and getting back up fixes it.

    Backpack inventory theft

    I don't have friends... LoL!!!

    Headshot Zombies

Some zeds / infected / zombies (whatever you like to call them) are tougher than others. Ones wearing military, police or firefighter clothing can take more punishment than say farmers or city civilians. It isn't as noticeable with firearms, but it tends to be more noticeable with melee weapons. I don't know if any of them cause more damage to players than others do though, as I haven't experimented with that or heard anything about it.

    High traffic area's?

It sounds like most of us hero types stick to the woods... LoL!

    Improvised weapons

Do improvised knives have better durability? You would think so being made of stone...

    BLUE ARMBAND = PEACE

I have yet to KoS and I don't plan to resort to it. I try to avoid groups and I always run from sniper fire if I'm not killed by the first shot. I've probably spent 80% of my game time in the woods, but I plan to make more trips to the coast to help out fresh spawns. :)

    SVD

    I hope you got him!

    BLUE ARMBAND = PEACE

So true! I rarely run into players outside of hot zones and have only had one pleasant conversation inside of an evacuation zone with two players who were working together. I was sure they were going to shoot me when I exited the tent I was in, but they kept their guns slung and we talked for a bit. Every other time I've been in these areas, it was just shoot-shoot-shoot and hope to survive.

    BLUE ARMBAND = PEACE

Yeah, sadly it happened to me last night. Saw a player in the woods near the green mountain broadcast tower wearing a UN helmet, blue flak vest and blue armband. I called out to him from some foliage and he immediately started shooting in my vicinity. I had to put him down... Oh well, I'll keep trying anyway.

    Just found...

I still have yet to run into a boar or any sheep, I've seen every other animal introduced to the game so far and plan on bagging an elk with my current character. I had no idea you can use boar pelts to make a pack... Very useful information and I thank you for it!

    Anyone want to trade?

I've been to most villages, cities, military bases and the airfield and have never come across a shotgun or any related ammo for one... Do they exist in game at this time?

    Advance notice about character wipes?

True and I didn't think of that... Good call!
  18. Molecular Drift 1.0

    Advance notice about character wipes?

It's not like we can create a "character restore point". Unless we're just looking to play far more carelessly with our gear right before a wipe is to take place, I just don't see any real function of a warning...

    Kicked off game

It's happened to me countless times. Either the server reset or encountered a problem, you didn't get booted by a moderator or anything along those lines for doing anything wrong.
  20. Molecular Drift 1.0

    Just found...

I shot and skinned my first cow two days ago. It provided roughly 12 steaks and I only had enough inventory to hold three... I've seen elk on three occasions, but each time I didn't have a firearm and they flee surprisingly fast (there's NO way a player could catch them on foot...) as soon as they sense you (about 100 yards for me, though I wasn't exactly sneaking).

    BLUE ARMBAND = PEACE

I like the idea, but like others have said... getting the whole gaming community behind that would be next to impossible. But, I will agree not to fire on players in UN gear unless they fire at me first. It's got to start somewhere. :)

have you seen my teddy bear?

So far I've only found paper in Teddy Bears and I've come across maybe a dozen of them so far. The first time I found a teddy with paper in it, I panicked as I thought another player had just opened a box of ammo stashed in one and left the teddy behind as bait, as that's happened so many times to me in high risk areas only to be shot immediately afterwards. The last thing I ever like to find is paper, especially laying on the ground...

    Improvised weapons

LMAO!!! I've never heard of this until now... Great post and I will definitely use this tactic with my next character!

    General Questions on gameplay

Sorry to hear that! Thankfully that hasn't happened to me yet and I'll stress YET...

    General Questions on gameplay

Good day Mr. Garcia, To answer both 1 and 2... Food and water will both make you vomit and food will cause this far more often as it doesn't take much to fill your food level. After vigorous testing, I've found after having a "yellow" food indicator and consuming one cow steak, a can of soda (which counts as both food and hydration roughly 50/50 oddly...) and a can of peaches, my character vomited. After throwing up, I was able to traverse just as much distance before having to eat and drink as I would having filling up and not vomiting. So to answer your question to the best of my findings, emptying your stomach does not currently affect your meters, but I expect this will change with future updates. 3. Depending on which disease you contract will determine the course of action to cure it. Some diseases will require medications, others can be cured simply by maintaining a mostly liquid diet for some time. 4. drofheid answered this perfectly, that cannot be done as you would like at this time. 5. Again, drofheid is correct, there is no way to pause, or be perfectly safe during game play. As a smoker who doesn't light up in my house, this is just another aspect to plan around. If you come across a time that you need to step away for a few moments, you need to weigh the risk of doing so at that time or log off. The map is huge and there's usually a fair amount of foliage around, so either go prone in some bushes out of sight, or if you have a lock pick, just lock yourself into a small, single entranced structure like a shed and hope that anyone who may approach it also doesn't have one. Just be aware that if using the lock pick method and someone finds the door locked, they may camp outside for a bit to see if someone will come out...
