Your food and water drops a lot faster when you're wet and cold. Food also seems to not fill you up as much so the best way to recharge is to build a fire in a dry place and warm up and dry out before you eat. I wear a raincoat but it becomes drenched if you're out in the rain long enough. I usually wear wellies and the NBC hood too they both stay completely dry

They mentioned a fix for combining in the status update. You're supposed to be able to combine things on the ground with things in your hand to create stacks now. Maybe try combining a stack of 4 logs in your hand with the shovel in your inventory and see if you get a RT prompt? Or are the 4 logs supposed to get micro managed into the log slot of the watchtower kit? Haven't had a chance to play with it been too busy driving around
-
Yeah a 4x4 should be able to power right up hills in the middle of the woods especially with that deep tread on the tires. Last night I was parked in neutral on flat ground just idling while I was on my phone and my car launched 100 feet in the air like you were talking about and then way down under the map. I didn't lose the car though I just put it in gear and drove forward a little and I was good to go

lol it definitely gets squirrelly especially on hills. I've found pressing slightly on the gas is better than flooring it for keeping it somewhat under control
-
I've gotten stuck a bunch of times, shift to reverse and just hold down RT and move the wheels back and forth. If that doesn't work shift between reverse neutral and 1st gear and just keep holding RT. Sometimes you can rev the engine up in neutral and then drop it into reverse or 1st gear and you'll get some traction. Just give it hell its buggy

Cars are a lot more common now I found one within 10 mins of logging on and running down the road. Got that one stuck on a fence and found another right up the road again by Altar. Stripped the stuck one so now I'm driving around with a bunch of parts
-
It doesn't look like anyone is working on updating it really. They added some of the new stuff but all the old pages needs revising

Staroye tents server hoppers go for the Long sleep
Arctic Volkssturm replied to TheYetiBum's topic in New Player Discussion
You could probably sit and watch that camo tower and rack up kills all day, always see people camping and logging up there. Probably more so on low pop servers than high pop -
The big apartment buildings always seem to be empty. I've found medium tents in the little garden sheds
-
It's survival, you always have to assume and prepare for the worst. Don't put everything you own in one place. Make your base confusing to navigate with plenty of mines carefully placed so that only you know the path to not get blown up. That takes time though so I wouldn't get started on all that now because there will probably be persistence wipes coming soon
-
By design that would make the ATC tower a poor place to build a base. If you build in a hidden location in the woods somewhere you can build layers of fences obscuring the view inside your camp so from the outside they won't be able to tell exactly where your tent or stashes are located behind the fence. If they try spawning inside it they might end up spawning on a land mine or bear trap ;)
-
I think the KOS attitude will die down once there's more persistence with bases/stashes and the cars are functioning properly. There's still not a lot to do once you're kitted currently
-
Yeah it's a specific recipe of exactly 2 burplap strips. You can split apart stacks in your inventory using X and combine them together by holding one in your hand and pressing B on the one in your inventory you want to combine it with. You can do this with anything stackable like bullets firewood rags etc.

Rain stopped and power is on at the Gorka hospital in US 8154

The battery isn't functional in the pso1 scope or the rangefinder either. Also if you accidentally jump when you're trying select items from the quick select wheel whatever you're holding will get stuck in your hands

Anyone need something specific?
Arctic Volkssturm replied to Jerry Young's topic in New Player Discussion
If anyone finds a car and needs help getting it running I have a lot of tools and small parts. I also know the location of a full gas can -
Yes, and eating food will raise your body temp when you're cold
-
I thought it was a weird place to drop too, the camo netting I found in military barracks up there along with a large military tent
-
Found it in a military shipping container at NWAF
-
I have camo netting and regular netting they're both in game
-
Did you try to cut the sack into strips with a knife first?
-
Not sure found some netting last night been looking for a burlap sack but can't find one
-
My can opener got drenched and increased to 2kg weight lol

Thought they said there would be less rain...

Is anyone in a us server where it isn't raining?
