    I suppose it could be duped building materials, although you’d be surprised how much material you can gather with a few people in a car within a few hours.

    I actually saw an infected chasing a pig through an open field, it was hilarious.

    Another time I watched an infected priest chase some cows, I think there’s a joke in there somewhere..

    I’d much prefer them to keep this system in place. Better having the devs focus solely on game development, and not forum chatter, much of which tends to be recycled talking points.

    Yeah, the sledgehammer has had the option on large rocks since .63, though it didn’t actually gather anything until a later update.

    I don’t need to know what time it is during daylight, only at night so i know how long i have to wait. 

    Sure i move around at night aswell, flashlights and road flares... But its not fun, at all. The time i get to play a game i like, should give me joy for those 2-3 hours. Not pitch black darkness.. and boredom. 

    Fair enough, I’m just waiting for some serious fixes before I invest more time.

    Fingers crosses the next major update addresses the key issues.

    Your best bet would be to wait for private servers to be implemented.

    No word on when we’ll see them.

    Most console versions are capped to 30fps.

    I have an X, it’s certainly not getting 60fps.. Maybe if I look straight down and move slowly. It usually feels like it’s 25-30 FPS. In cities and during automatic gun fight that number tanks even more.

    The frames used to be a lot better on console the .63 version.

    The devs have stated they are working on private servers.

    There’s unfortunately been little info on just how those servers will function, and how much we’ll be able to customize them.

    It’s very possible, however the more players DayZ has in general the better.

    More revenue will hopefully translate to more devs, better tech, with more frequent and better quality updates/fixes.

    I run an X and had insanely poor frame rates up at Troitskoe mil during a PvP encounter. It was a friend and I against 2, and the frames absolutely tanked while we fought near the perimeter of the base.

    Might have to take a break until these glaring issues have been resolved..

    I agree with this

    A 3/1 ratio would be perfect. Make dawn and dusk each a half an hour long, instead of 5 minutes.

    A nice welcome back to Chenarus eh?

    One story which happened not too long ago.. I met a guy in one of the clubs, we grouped up and decided to loot Troitskoe military. As we arrive he knew I don’t like to kos, so we decided to try and communicate.

    It was the middle of the night and we posted up just outside the first barrack. Not 1 minute later we hear a guy sprint by us heading right into that same barrack.

    My friend hops up and sprints towards it, I’m thinking he’s about to shoot him anyway. Instead, he locks the guy in the barrack. Shots ring out from the guys SGK5. We talk him down and he puts his gun away, so we unlock the door and head in.

    After chatting for a bit my friend goes to loot the next barrack. The guys with me and mentions he can’t open his can of tuna (used to be a bug for some). As I open the tuna he pulls out a 12 gauge and blasts me dead with one shot. I just sat there laughing like hell.

    As we were in game chat I waited to see what happened. My friend comes back into party chat shortly after saying he killed the guy. He said he walked in and saw my guy since we were both wearing armbands. The other guy tried shooting my buddy though his gun jammed... Karma?

    That was the first time in 500 hours of play time that someone pulled such a good trap. I wish I knew his tag to send him a “well played” message.

    On to the next unique experience..

    Once we see private/custom servers on console we’ll hopefully have much more variety on how we want to play.

    Days last 2 hours, while nights are 1 hour long.
