I don’t particularly believe this to be the case. Console players have dreamt about this game coming to their living room for years. They are clearly listening and seem to genuinely care about their product. Another good thing is they don’t have a triple A publisher harping on them to finish by a certain deadline. What I will say is that it absolutely should’ve baked in early access on Xbox for a year before being pushed to 1.0. Guessing they wanted the extra revenue from the PlayStation license. That’s the only reason I can see for them pushing full release as early as they did.

Test servers are usually for BI employees, mods, and a few select others who typically have to sign an NDA while testing new features that may or may not be implemented. I doubt the average player will be given access.

Welcome to DayZ! The devs have mentioned before they don’t want to lock players to servers, as they want us to have the freedom to meet friends/others without having to keep track of multiple characters, probably more back end reasons as well. Personally, I don’t see any issue with offering say 12 player locked servers in addition to what we already have. Theres also an idea pitched that each weapon/item has a serial number, and if that number/item is duplicated it will be removed until only one remains. Really hope this is added sooner than later.

Good advice here. The fact that friendly encounters are few in between makes them much more exciting when they happen. I would avoid groups of 3 or more entirely. Had one instance where I followed a guy into a wood line only to find another 7 guys standing around all in blue armbands. I slowly back stepped out of there as they were talking and made my way into town instead of rolling the dice with all of them. Shortly after I saw one of them looting near me. I said hello and that I was friendly from a concealed location. Three seconds later I see 5 more come running to him, guns drawn and a few aiming down the road and between houses. I snuck out of that town. It all comes down to reading others and gauging their intentions the best you can before putting yourself at risk. There’re other variables to like how geared they are (more to lose), where they are (mil bases are essentially PvP zones), etc. You just never know who you might meet, could be a lifelong DayZ friend.

It’s always in the cooking pot...

That’s odd, I know on Xbox you can hear others talking in game chat, though you just can’t talk back unless you switch. Not sure if PS is different in that regard, though I’d imagine they’d be similar.

Yep, that serial idea has actually been forwarded to the devs by a community manager after a pc member pitched it. Fingers crossed they’re able to implement something.

That point was addressed by @-Gews- earlier. I can see there’s no changing your mind, that’s ok, these discussions are what the forums are for.

Over a measly 60 seconds...really? Just log out a minute before you usually would. Profit.
-
There’s nothing negative with a longer disconnect timer, unless of course you’re finding yourself constantly logging out for some reason...
-
I agree with this. If you find what you suspect as an obviously duped stash(es) and keep one rifle, then destroy the other 9, you’re helping the cause. If we compound that with 9 others doing the same thing, that’s 10 rifles held, while 90 are sent back into the CLE.
-
Unfortunately this seems to be the case. They’ve mentioned before in one of their streams that a permanent fix for duping would be very difficult, though they are working on it. Just for curiosities sake, I’d like to see BI post how many mil rifles are stashed away on the average sever.

Yeah, that’s the system we currently have in place. 15 seconds is a bit too short imo, it should be closer to 60 seconds.

Ghosting has occurred since the Xbox version, and likely wayyyy before that on pc. There’s no way to report it, at least it won’t amount to anything as it’s part of the game mechanics. Its pretty much just accepted as a weak form of combat that some partake in.
-
If you’re listing bugs on this forum and not the report site then more than likely it’ll just fall in deaf ears. The devs do not look through this forum for the odd bug report. Check out the bug report site and make a ticket there if you don’t already see the issue addressed.
