Exactly I was watching Mindr the day of got the patch. Both him and his chat seemed to be very happy with the update. They were just tossing everything they could find at each other. The particle affect of the smoke grenades look really good. I’m looking forward to it.

Died after killing 2 people who spawned right back???

If you take a large amount of damage quickly, melee, fall damage, small arms fire you have a high chance of being knocked unconscious. This is the part where you can have some fun if you’re sure they’re alone. You can tie them up, or finish them off if you have other plans. Its easy to tell as the body won’t be limp, and often times you’ll see their breath. -
We used to have a 3rd person shoulder swap function back on .63, not sure why they removed it, was very useful.

Exactly! Folks can gripe all they’d like (and rightfully so in most cases), however the fact BI can take all the time they need is a good thing. Break things then fix them as needed, we’ve got nothing but time... Even as is DayZ is the best survival game on console, bar none.

Talk about taking the jam out of the doughnut !!!

The sad part is some people will actually pay for that. Those “services” have been in gaming for quite some time, however I can’t imagine why anyone would want it for a game like DayZ. -
That guy seems to mess with a lot of games, hehe. Never gets old.
-
Oh? Based off all of the interactions I’ve had in DayZ, over 500 hours, they’ve all been pretty mature adults. It really depends on the game and it’s community.

Agreed I actually mentioned in another thread that they should wipe severs every week until a permanent fix arrives.
-
No, not the issues themselves, however the server admin would be able to issue actual bans/suspensions if there’re server rules set against it. It remains to be seen how much, if any, we’ll be able to set server adjustments to items, spawn rates, etc.
-
Not to mention it would be a reprieve from all the exploiting found on official servers.
-
I appreciate the info, I hope this means the dev team is close to a permanent fix. If it’s still not even on the horizon, I don’t see a problem with steep suspensions, or even bans. May help curb the issue if there’re actual consequences to duping.

Good stuff man, if you ever need a hand on a weekend feel free to message me.
-
I understand that rational, however isn’t there anything that can be done on an individual level? No BI employees that are able to track the gamertag down in game and issue suspensions/bans? I thought most games have server mods present, guess it’s not a thing with DayZ official on Xbox?

Exactly, an app would be convenient, however at this point I’d like another settings screen in the pause menu or one in the lobby, much like how Ark sets up their private dedicated server settings screen.
-
From what I’ve read putting duped gear into a backpack then shooting it up to destroy everything is the quickest way to de-spawn items. I couldn’t give you an exact time, maybe someone else would know.

Devs have mentioned a few times they are working on it, currently no word on a timeframe.

Continuing my motion to up the timer to 60 seconds.

Yeah, I’ve been on a break for about 2 weeks now, that’s a record for me. Last PvP battle at Troitskoe mil was like a slide show. We’re in desperate need for a major optimization overhaul, not to mention the game breaking exploits. I’m confident they’ll come through with something. Time will hopefully serve them well.
