I'm 38 and my daughter is 6 and not quite into video games just yet but like @andysuter I've been playing games since the old Atari tape load games right through to the Xbox One and I love this game. It keeps you on your toes but you can take your time and explore the map with little to no interaction with other players. The two games where I have been able to hold my own and become a good player at was Battlefield 3 & 4 and I see some of the realism of that game in this one especially when playing as first person.

Easy to obtain from dupers if you head to the coast and know where you're looking.

Met up with a new player last night who had 6 boxes of the .308 WIN rounds, I'm fully stocked now 😂

Found mine at Devils Castle on one of the walls. A facebook group I'm part of said they spawn at castles so went to look and found it 👍

Yup, for a big heavy duty chain with the massive padlock you need bolt cutters or use the generator to hook up the jaws of life from a fire station. Bit noisy but it'd be fun 👍

They could have different locks with different temperaments like the padlock, bike lock etc.

Didn't they also mention that one way to possibly stop ghosting is for people to spawn in any location on the map?

I've started to use the app more now, noting things on there that aren't actually listed. I'm north at the moment not far from Tisy but trying to avoid mil bases like this until I can hook up with another player(s).

Do you map it out on something? I'm currently using the iZurvive app for little things like where the Tundra is and other little bits.

Dupers are going to impact the economy more than what someone with two or three extra accounts hold on their characters on different servers. If you're that desperate for an AR go to the coast and get one.

I have one account and one only but my player score is low for DayZ. So based on that assumption I must have another account? Or could it be that the way I play the game doesn't involve achievement hunting? Or that I don't play the game as much as I'd like to as I have other commitments, do you consider that as a possibility that someone's score is low?

I got the game a week after the preview release, I haven't built a base yet and never been in a car mainly because until things are fixed there's no point. Why spend ages building a base for someone to ghost into it and steal your stuff. Why spend time looking for car parts when the car itself could kill you just by sitting it. Now some people do build bases and cars because they enjoy it and want to but I'd rather go on foot and get used to my surroundings, even use that time to scout out possible areas to build a base should I choose to do so. I don't camp on new spawns because I play in-land away from the coastal hotspots (Plus I think it's a shitty thing to do) but that's the way that I play the game. Besides, if we all played the game the same way it'd be bloody boring 👍

I've found one on my own so far south west of NWAF and two when playing with a friend which was just north of the tents at NWAF and on the hill leading out of Zelengorsk opposite the petrol station on the hill. Heli crash sites are like rocking horse sh*t!

It'll make for some interesting encounters that's for sure. It'll be like the campfire scene from Blazing Saddles 😂

Would you have players to help guard it from bandits and those pesky cannibals?

Sounds like a good idea, I've not looked at base building yet but knowing there's somewhere to go could add a bit more depth to the game.

Yeah, you're reading it wrong. I'm not moaning nor have I moaned, it was more to highlight that going solo for me in mil sites isn't the best. I know about the game, been playing it a week after the preview release date so I'm not daft.

Well last night my character that was a few weeks old finally succumbed to a KOS player at the barracks north of the NWAF. I was in a building armed with a pipe due to a few Z's lurking and came out of a room and BLAM!! Dead. I had managed to stock up on water and food and had an MP5, Shotgun and an SK (With a scope). I didn't even get a chance to shout out friendly lol. This may prove a point that it's best not to go it alone on this game anymore.

Server population is the least of the games worry. Sort the bigger issues out then look at doing this, don't you think it's time you actually listened to the players?

Yeah lessons have been learnt since that lol. Playing a more patient style instead of going in thinking I'll be ok.

Might have to look at getting a small clamp 👍
