    Love the DayZ Team, Socials, Dev & Management. But when you have a Console version of the game for well over a year now & no ones thought, why not just make vehicles client side on Console as console players cant use client side calculations to implement hacks. I can understand if Console just couldn't handle said calculations & a reluctance to fix a problem for a portion of the player base & not the others. But surely delivering on a feature promise for even a portion of your player base is better than none?

    Not true as far as I'm aware, hasn't been stated anywhere by the DayZ social media team that I can see. Only states in patch notes that you'll have a higher chance of tier 4 loot in Static Gas Zones but not that it'd only spawn in those locations. Hope this helps

    New consoles optimized graphics

    The Dev team has stated that they are currently Considering/testing/building a Next Gen Update for Console. Already on Xbox Series X/S the game runs at a higher stable framerate & a lot of the stutters, issues from the below par Processors & Graphic Cards of the last gen consoles have been completely fixed. I played on an Xbox one before & now I play on a Series S. Its like Night & Day, I had constant stutters, frame drops for up to 5 seconds long & occasionally really bad de-sync. Since swapping to Series S, the game feel smooth. But as stated we should see true next gen update in the future. Also ignore the PC master race idiots, DayZ already runs on medium to low graphical settings on the Next gen consoles & most PC gamers would have there game set to the exactly the same settings to gain an advantage with grass rendering distances & a smoother framerate. There is little to no difference from PC to Console, except framerates above 60fps & Modding support. Hope this helps
  4. Just a quick reminder that numerous Duping fixes have dropped in updates over the years. There's been at least ten different fixes since DayZ dropped on Console, unfortunately an Exploit cannot be fixed until its reported & can be replicated in order for the Dev's to find a way to block its use, which quite often is a lot harder than it sounds. The best way to combat exploits & help development is to make private bug reports explainig any exploits you may have found or know about, also as a community we need to stand against the use of exploits. I personally have morals, I hate cheaters of any king in any aspect of life, if I had a friend who exploited in DayZ he wouldn't be my friend for much longer. life's to short to spend with people who buckle at the first sign of difficulty & instantly resort to cheating, if people do that stuff in games they definitely failing at life. My advise would be to stay moral, remember its just a game & the difficulty is essentially the whole point of the game, & report those bugs an exploits

    Unfortunately Community servers are just that, run by a community member. They have no affiliation with Bohemia Interactive of the DayZ Game Team & the server space is rented & run by a private server owner. They have the option of making there server password protected so unless you can get the password im afraid you cannot get access to the server. You can try finding the server again & seeing if it has a Discord Server link in its name, the Discord server may have a whitelist application process to enable you password access to the server but failing that I'm afraid your stuck. The good news is that every community server is separate with a separate player files, so you can join any community server & start a new character who will remain persistent there without effecting the others.   7. Items no longer despawn & respawn on server restart. Also if you try to force respawn items then your proximity to the spawn pint will effect of an item will be spawned. basically items have a respawn timer & wont spawn if your too close. So if you arent finding items, someone else has been there recently or your too close for the item to spawn in. Hope this helps

    1.14 Experimental Release

    Certainly doesnt look like it on Console. Ive been doing a lot of testing & am yet to find a single high tier weapon at NWAF, TISY or a Static Gas Zone. I suspected something wasnt right so started testing at odd hours when the servers pretty much empty & has been for a whole reset cycle. Lo & behold still no high tier loot, I haven't even seen a single plate carrier spawn on a zed or otherwise. Plus only heli out of 12 heli crashes actually had a special weapon on it. Something is not working as intended, I love the 1.14 changes but something is definitely effecting loot spawning in. if its not that inv/stash's are being counted then its something else. trying to get to the bottom of it as if this update drops & people grind out an NBC suit only to find nothing, constantly, out of an un-looted static gas zone, the social media whine will be heard on the moon lol . ps.its server DE 1825 on Xbox EXP, just in case a member of the socials team wants to bring it up with the dev team, I put in a bug report too. I realised the Blaze wasn't spawning on Console for nearly a month after it dropped in an update ages ago & let Sumrak know personally, it was fixed within a few days with a quick server change. So hopefully the same can be done here.

    I suggest that with every EXP update that EXP servers should get wiped, not sure how accurate or effective data garnered from theses tests are when the Loot table is polluted before the tests even begin as there's been no wipe on Xbox EXP that I can remember . Hard to tell if increased loot in static gas zones actually works as intended. All i'm seeing in gas zones is Kolt pistols, SG5K's, SKS's & maybe the odd M16. very hard to give feedback when its hard to know if the loots broken or its because the EXP server hasn't been wiped in forever & there's tonnes of guns in storage blocking spawns.

    I agree, communication from BI Social Media Team has gotten significantly better over the past few years. We went from a, tell you nothing because its supposedly a hardcore survival game & they want you figure it out alone (also equate to saving time & money by having a minimal socials team & communication with the player base. Thankfully we have seen dramatic changes in communication & info filtering down from management & dev team. But as you state, they can do better. We should have a fixed schedule of wipes & know when they are, like other games with regular wipes, unfortunately there previous position on wipes was that they pretty much shouldn't happen & let persistence do its thing. But a janked persistence, in combination with massive amounts of duping (Especially on Console) has led to a change in there attitude as frequent wipes at least get all the duped gear & huge lag inducing bases get deleted so the legitimate players can atleast have a week or two of a smoother experience & a chance to find a higher tier weapon. Long story short I agree wholeheartedly that every EXP update should state whether it'll arrive to stable with a Wipe, or even better have an announcement section coded into the games main menu, so players who dont use social media can actually see patch notes/ wipe announcements, etc in game.

    Why would you dupe on PC when you could just download free hacks & fly, spawn in any item, shoot through any object or across the map, wall hacks, aim lock, etc. People using actual hacks is a massive problem on Official PC servers but duping not so much. If people could use hacks on Console, trust me they'd be using them. Duping is a big problem on Official servers but the more regular wipes have effectively lowered the amount of drainers plaining the game to just dupe. Hopefully BI keeps the wipes every couple of months as its definitely evened the playing field for legitimate players

    Loving 1.14 Update so far, I have been testing on Xbox DayZ EU - DE 1825 playing on a Series S. I have found some potential inconsistencies from PC Over the past few days. I have seen on PC that many Filters spawn on dead NBC Infected in Static Gas Zones, but after killing approximately 100 NBC infected I an yet to have a single filter spawn on a dead Infected, Also I have Visited Pavlovo Gas Zone several times (every time the doors were closed & building's untouched) & I have yet to find anything of actual worth, loads of SG5K ten round mags, Kolts & FX pistols & maybe a helmet or two. My assumption is the Loot is bugged somehow as I have seen far better loot on PC in these Zones on EXP. Also in the last two days I have looted 12 Heli Crash Sites, all with infected still alive & unvisited by other players (great crash sound update btw), unfortunately on all these Sites I found 1 VSD, all other sites had no weapons of any kind, unless you count the flare gun which I saw spawn at almost every site . I see that Heli loot has been increased by 50%, but it tends to just be junk. I haven't seen a single NVG spawn on a heli site or a static gas zone & I haven't seen a Single M4A1 or AKM spawn anywhere. Seems like things could do with a tweak. If the loot isn't dramatically improved at Helis & gas Zones then a week after 1.14 drops no one will go to either anymore as the reward just isn't there, 7 visits to static gas zones & I literally have nothing to show for it. Hope it gets improved as I was stoked for this update but the loot table seem scuffed on Xbox. Id appreciate other Xbox players feedback on there experiences to see if there having similar experiences

Yeah I've been in a few gas cloud, one dynamic occurrence at Tisy & visited the static one at Pavlovo, thankfully in the dynamically spawned occurrence's there's a loud artillery barrage sound played 30secs before from the edge of the map, there's also a red flare for a short period & then the gas cloud rapidly spreads downwards & out over a huge area. I was lucky enough to have already pieced together a full NBC suit & gas mask with a few spare filters. Without any protection in 25secs you get to stage 3 sickness, throw up blood, pass out & die before you wake, only way to cure it is with the NOX epipen, which I haven't found yet. It'll take awhile for all of us to adjust to not logging out in towns due to potentially logging back into a dynamically spawned gas cloud & suffering the same unfortunate fate you did. The gas is very punishing, but to be honest I like it that way, but when the update drops there's going to be a lot of unaware people getting very dead, very often & very frustrated, but when isn't that true for any major update . My main concern was that there would be a shortage of protective gear but I've found it spawns all over in medical, military, & fire stations. oh I also found a few tier 4 & heli crash weapons at Pavlovo but only normal weapons at the Dynamic spawned gas cloud event, hopefully they make it so even at dynamic gas sights that the loot tier dynamically increases also.

    Oh yes the wet noodle splitting axe did have me creased up whilst testing , also the further iteration of an supposed stealth kill on Infected that forces you to stand therefore causing more aggro from other infected with LOS on your character rendering the whole endeavour somewhat lack lustre. Also lets be real there is very little variation in DayZ combat compared to most modern shooters such as Escape from Tarkov or even the dreaded COD, the vanilla weapon pool is tiny & your either armoured or not. Even the shock, blood & health mechanic is woefully outdated mechanically. Don't get me wrong I love DayZ & I too with all my heart wish it actually were a survival game, but just because that's what it says on the tin doesn't mean that is contained there in lol. Content creation flew this little genre game into the stratosphere & most of said content was PvP & the PvP'ers came flooding in & that's all she wrote. Now the majority of all private servers on PC & Console are x50 loot, x10 heli crash, etc. Whilst the majority of servers offering an even harder hardcore survival experience go untouched. If the Dev team wished to promote a Survival experience they should have focused more on survival elements, crafting, building, weather cycles with changing asset by season & a more robust server structure to handle vehicles more effectively. But they pandered to where the moneys coming from, which is the smart business choice but took the game away from survival. Minecraft is literally a harder survival game than DayZ & I play DayZ on a server that has constant rain, no food spawns & three hour long nights

    You cheeky so & so, you know what I meant. If the game had true ballistic values the servers would probably explode lol joking. By gamify the ballistics I mean bring them more in line with other titles of a similar genre.

    I respect your opinion dude, your an active community member & have some great ideas. But remember the vast majority of gamers want escapism not realism. If you go down the realism road one knife hit to the neck or inner thigh would be an insta kill in game, we wouldn't need 36 tins of beans to fill our bellies & then not eat for a week & most players would have zero idea how to fill a mag or rack a round making guns pointless. Never mind most gun shot wounds would mean bleeding out in less then 30 seconds. Making rounds as deadly as they are in real life doesnt make the game less PvP centric it makes it more so, as people realise they can sit in a bush for 8hrs & one tap people all day long, further removing depth & player choice. If you don't gamify ballistics & cater to your largest market audience then your game withers & dies. Not saying everything should cater to PvP players though. Lets be real DayZ netcode & server performance are so awful anyone playing DayZ for enriching combat is an idiot already. As always just my two cents & I am but a flawed human lol

    Exactly all of the above! Zeds didn't need to be made tankier, just needed improved animations, ability to break down doors (hopefully still being worked on) & the ability to climb through windows & onto objects players can too. the whole stealth kill mechanic is cool but lets be real, you spend one second stood up after a stealth kill & every zombie within 50m in your line of sight aggro's making it a cool but pointless pursuit as a player gameplay option. I feel they just wanted to promote player PvP & reduce player vs player stealth by making players stand out more having longer drawn out fights with Zeds or forcing players to always carry a suppressed pistol to deal with infected, further increasing the chance of player interaction. It all just seems very forced, I'm never a fan of removing player gameplay options for any reason. Totally in agreement with you, we need more optimisation, which would lead to more having more infected. Not eve sure about the whole doors opening aggroing Infected tbh as it falls into the same category of forced gameplay loop. Player opens door, agrros infected causing infected to scream, player has to deal with infected, opposing player hears this interaction they previously wouldn't hear, PvP ensues. I love PvP but some players just want to stealth it & avoid interaction. So the difficulty curve for passive players has risen exponentially but for the PvP focused its just got even easier.

    I'll start with the negatives Making rifle rounds one tap unarmoured targets to the chest is a bad idea, just removes player options to run with higher stamina & no armour. Will just promote more freshie killing lets be real. Staggering in any PvP based game is also a bad Idea, especially in a game where you can get one tapped anyway. A player who starts the fight already has a huge advantage & further punishing the victim by making it impossible to attempt to return fire is a terrible shooter mechanic. Again removing depth & forcing player decisions. The infected now take way too much melee damage, there is no world where a splitting axe should have to hit an Infected 4 or more time to kill it. I understand wanting to promote stealth kills but making it the only viable option isn't adding depth its taking it away. Positive time Being able to suppressed head shot Infected with up to a .45 calibre pistol without causing aggro from other nearby Infected is a brilliant addition, it adds depth & increases player options. Plus was a staple of the early Mods. Added depth to vehicles is also excellent (even though networking issue still haven't been solved so most players still don't use vehicles as there often death sentences) Landmines disarming is a welcome addition, bravo Infected not attacking unconscious players is a welcome addition & will hopefully promote more player interaction during combat reduction of chance for Infected scream to aggro other infected is welcome (anything to not have to hear that sound file lol) In conclusion, great work by the dev team here, I do not agree with the majority of the weapon rebalancing or tankier infected. Never a fan of restricting player choices & heavily funnelling gameplay loops to force a perceived more difficult experience when in reality its just adding extra layers of frustration. Changing game Metas on a regular basis does not make for a more enriching experience, nobody like having goal posts moved on them mid match. I think the game needs more events & reasons to frequently traverse the map to increase player interaction instead of forcing players to simply have to shoot more to deal with Infected or spend 30mins trying to stealth kill zombies using janky mocap created nearly a decade ago is less enriching. Just my two cents & as always even the stuff I don't like took a human being many hours to create, I appreciate the hardwork that's been put into these additions, changes & fixes.

    This may be the case on PC but on Xbox especially when everyone has 10 accounts using one paid version of DayZ. Who simple log on there alt accounts sat at every mili base & potential crash site farming loot all day or simply picking it up & throwing into the woods so no one else can get at it. Admittedly that's a game breaking flaw with Xbox not the fault of Bohemia. Also what you suggest just means everyones running arond with Tier 4 weapons & running back to the coast to annihilate eachother like when Duplicaton was of the scale, doesnt exactly make a great gameplay loop when you can run to NWAF in less than 30mins from the coast & be fully geared

    The same issue will remain, more guns spawning in means more hoarding. Admittedly it would increase interactions at military bases. I believe that stashes & barrels should despawn in less than a week & building should be totally remodelled with a tool cupboard approach instead of the Flag pole, requiring people to actually ram materials on a regular basis to keep there bases alive & the only way to stop loot despawning is to house it in a base. Also bring back gun bags & make it impossible to store guns on character except on the shoulder or in a gun bag to reduce alt characters being used on console as storage lockers.

    I partially agree but the main frustration of many players is the lack of tier 4 weaponry as it gets stashed out of existence after the first week of a wipe & by just increasing its spawn numbers just continues to benefit those in large groups with large bases or hidden away stashes. it makes the game pretty dull for most. Having a fixed wipe schedule like most other mmo survival games gives everyone extra reason to come back & play on a regular basis. I am in no way trying to invalidate your opinion though, just a counter proposal is all. Also take into account the vast majority of players prefer to PvP rather than survive which is precisely why private servers are more popular, which wont be wiped & there's always some decent private survival based servers too

    This is great news @Kyiara! Absolutely love the 3-4 month total wipes to give the game a more structured beginning & end cycle for players, Something games like rust do very well & think this would suit official DayZ servers perfectly. The new environmental threat sounds cool, Radiation, poison gas over high level mil bases maybe? or is snow being implemented? Either way sign me up Also loving the fact Zombies will receive some TLC, there movement & mocapped attacks are very frustrating, janky & only seem designed to exacerbate gunfights by largely prolonging there attacks with hopping about, running in circles around you or touching there own toes when attacking so you swing over there head. All of which look pretty ridiculous, offer no difficulty other than frustration & lack any kind of satisfying skill arc. So any changes to there behaviour is very welcome. (apologise I hate the Infected with a passion, my least favourite part of DayZ currently) All other news is great & as always huge thanks to the Dev & social team for there hard work in 2020

    why not just carry the four rags & a knife? rags take up next to know space & you can just crawl to a bush (which are everywhere), then craft it as you need it. Also why not just make morphine fix a fracture like in the mod days before standalone. saves time & effort adding in new items & creating new bugs

    Yeah its rough sauce for sure, if I go on a server with more then 30 people & stick around on the coast where more people are generally crammed together, especially if there's a tonnes of bases & firefights its lag city too. Guessing its not your connection that effecting it? sure you would have ruled that out first, I cant even drive through any large city with my screen freezing for upto a minute & losing all sound so I know how you feel lol, & that's on a 20 man server with like 10 people on it. Original Xbox is Trash but its all I got lol
