Technically private servers will be locked, well character locked anyway & hopefully there's the option to apply passwords to servers too. I should imagine it'll be a monthly fee to hire a server though.

No word yet on how Private servers will function but i have E-Mailed ImpulZ to see if I can get some clarification. My assumption would be that they'll obviously be character locked, most certainly involve a monthly rental fee & hopefully have a solid amount of server options. hopefully the server password option is defintely there for people wanting to run RP servers, but you'd really need a kill feed option too for a white list private RP server to work for reporting people who break RP rules, etc. FIngers crossed theres really good Admin controls for server owners.

Could be anytime between now & the end of July, totally depends on if & when it passes Xbox's Patch Validation Process. It may not pass at all, which would mean it would need further fixes before being submitted again (This doesn't happen often though). hope this helps.

They mention future DLC as separate to the BR in the status report article so it cant be that dude. they specifically call the BR a new game mode after mentioning that they'd talk about the future DLC later on.

hopefully the private servers have a really robust set of server options for people who rent them, I'd like to see everything you've mentioned & more. alter weapon spawn rates, survivor spawn locations, how often loot respawns after being picked up, etc. we shall have to wait and see. Im excited to see what servers people will create

So Bohemia are apparently working on an add on for DayZ that's essentially a complete BR Mode akin to Brendan greens Arma 2 BR mods. It's being created by a separate team so shouldn't effect the core games developments. PC Keys are being sent out soon for more in depth testing by content creators , twitch streamers etc. What does everyone think?

Lmao at people using terms like echo chamber in a games forum. Maybe people are all talking about the same subject because that's the subject of the thread, seems like simple logic & an efficient use of a thread format to me. On a side note maybe people talk about duplication a lot as it's the largest game exploit currently In the game , breaks the largest mechanic in the game (CLE) and most people don't like spending £40+ on a game out of game preview after sweating there balls off at work all week, only to find the games a teeny tiny bit fooked. If you don't like a threads topic then don't comment on it, seems pretty simple. Plenty of other threads to comment on with out repeating "echo chamber" over & over again like a.........echo

It's not happening, I've had direct confirmation from ImpulZ that servers locks will not be implemented as a way to stop duplication (mainly because it wouldn't stop it) , they have other methods In the works to stop it & other exploits also, that will drop wIth this update or upcoming updates. as the above have stated don't believe anything unless it's directly stated by Bohemia & you can be linked straight to it.

Pmsl at people complaining about people discussing how duplicating has destroyed the central loot economy, which is the core underpinning mechanic of the entire game. If I went to the shop & paid for £50 pair of jeans and the dude at the counter passed me a bag with a nice floral skirt in it, I think I'd be complaining . The official forum is the best place to discuss game breaking exploits & funnily enough the more people discuss an issue the more likely the devs are to prioritise it. I shouldn't have to even write this as it's basic logic

Lmao, classic lack of logic. Guys says I dupe because dupings ruined the game. Asks if moaning will fix the game when logic dictates that not duping will fix it, jeez is this reality.

If you travel frequently & know heli crash site spawns there easier to find than you'd expect. I sometimes find three or four in a lib play session, but VSD,s & LAR's & assault rifles In General stopped spawning at them a week after 1.01 due to duplication stalling the central loot economy. The last 20 plus crashes I've seen only had an MP5 at them & RNG mist had no weapon at all. Thankfully it looks like there close to a some kid of solid fix for duping & are trying to get fixes added with the next update, but it's safer to assume it'll come after 1.03/1.04 drops tbh. It's been an issue for years on PC but not to this magnitude as most people okay private modded servers anyway but on console it's literally ruined the game so they've really focused up on permanent fixes, fingers crossed they work.

I hope to the DayZ got that we will get a full wipe, I'd suspect that we would after over three months with no wipe & the fact there working hard to get exploit fixes included in this months planned update. lets ask @ImpulZ to see if we can get some clarification on any potential server/character wipes with the combined 1.03/1.04 update? please lovely mr community manager can we get a little clue at least?

As far as I'm concerned they could wipe every server & character every day until a duping fix is enabled so losing a few servers is absolutely fine, really good news to hear that there trying there hardest to get exploit fixes into the next updates at least .dieing to play dayz again but just can't stomach it till these game breaking issues are still prevalent.

Played for a few hours after weeks away & found butt pack inception and a tent containing enough LAR's , M4's, AK's & tundras to literally set up an army. Also three chests full of mines. Promptly quit out & went to play a game that works.

Yep I'm the same, I always shout friendly & hope there a friendly too. Unfortunately there's to many no mic noobs running around with duped weapons for much friendly interaction ATM. Taking a break until a functioning CLE makes a return lol

Also my mate dave says that in 1.04 there adding sasquatches into the woods by devils castle & that if you try and dupe or meatball your xbox explodes and your weiner falls off. You heard it hear first

Until duping a fixed it doesn't matter when the update comes, less than a week after 1.04 hits console all the new guns & NV goggles will be duped out of the central loot economy. It's like begging for scraps when you know someone's gonna come along and nick them of you, I'd rather not beg

Amazing lack of logic, so using that logic I can go out robbing people houses IRL because most robberies go unsolved right? Lol. Also in the same sentence you say you hate Dupers but then openly admit to aiding Dupers lmao. If you can't understand the simple concept of cheating & why doing it for any reason is still cheating then you can't be helped sir. But as always when people are faced with the fact there not a great human being they respond with "it's just a game" well that's how the erosion of morals begins.

Using duping to send a message to the devs is literally the most dumbest counter productive thing I've heard. Firstly they've got everyone's money already whether you play or not & sales continue to go up regardless of pervasive exploits in game. Secondly there already trying to fix the issues internally, maybe not as fast or effeciently as I'd like but that's game development for you. Thirdly the only people receiving the message about how broke the game is, is the players themselves. The community is literally just ruining the game to punish itself, it's by far the most immature display of 'look at me! Aren't i special everyone' that I've ever witnessed. I'd excuse it as the act of children but the majority of Dupers I meet in game & in my chat are supposedly adults. Gotta love fans of a game who go out of there way to systematically abuse in game exploits for some perceived cool points, whilst eroding the player base & turning the game into a joke. I play the game for a few hours a week now just to remind myself why I don't play it & what type of human being I don't wanna be lol

What the actual f*ck?! Hopefully when the random re-log spawns take effect with 1.04 in July sometime it'll curb this kind of douchery.
