Pso scopes glitch when prone. All TPP poses are misaligned to the right of center reticule, there's no hold breathe function on console. ADS whilst prone causes massive character model to gun misalignment. Hit registration is poor or non existent during lag spikes. Scopes de render at random and aiming at anything further than 50metres away with a 4x takes upto ten seconds hi res render buildings/objects. remember the limitations of your knowledge doesn't mean your correct, I love this game and am in no means cussing it out but all the thing I've mentioned are confirmed bugs that are being worked on right now. There not even half the bugs that effect combat based mechanics

Unless someone's dressed for obvious banditry I don't KOS and try never too tbh. If someone's travelling with there gun holstered or on there back I always try and initiate conversation or trade. More often than not it doesn't end in blood shed but I can imagine if your not a chatty friendly sounding dude like me or are a younger player some players may kill you out of distrust or fear. Most people are afraid of losing there loot so bad that they freak out and shoot first but I've had many occasions where I've talked the person down and evaded rather than drawing my own weapon & this usually always calms them down if you keep talking. Also always exchange names straight away, it's hard to kill someone when they have a name lol, not just walkin loot anymore. But peacekeepers I'm actually more wary of , I've seen guys in full blues with UN helmets mowing down fresh spawns literally on the coastline which tbh is scummy at best. But as I say if your guns on your back and I can talk to you from cover then I'll always try and communicate. Plus I always helps fresh spawns, especially new players in order show them that there are friendly survivors and warn them about high PvP areas. Plus I'm no fool I do warn people that most players will KOS so don't assume every dudes gonna give you a open tin of beans and a water bottle. Already the most fun I've had in the game is interaction with other players, the shooting mechanics are so broke ATM that if your playing dayz for combat then your doing yourself a disservice

Anyone else getting kicked from game a lot recently?
TheYetiBum replied to Anyeurysm's topic in New Player Discussion
It's because there's no on screen server reset countdown ATM. If your joining high population servers that'll be why. Once a server resets most people don't rejoin that server so it'll take about 1hr-1hr and a half for it to fill up again leaving only 30mins or less before it resets again. The you been kicked from the game message occurs on a reset. Next time it happens rejoin the same server you were in after a few minutes for it to reset. If everyone did this you'd come across the same players more, probably get better loot and reset servers would fill up faster also. It also stops progression breaks, if you've travelled for an hour and not seen anyone then get kicked and join another server you could run for another hour and not see anyone aswell because different server different people in deferent locations. Whereas if you jump back in as does the majority of others you can guage where people are and aren't more easily. -
Unless someone has gun out or is obviously a KOS player dressed with red armband and clown mask etc then I'll approach and talk to them. I'd never kill and unarmed player and have given many weapons, direction and food/water etc to fresh spawns or other kitted players who wanted to trade. I've met several guys ingame who were cool. The KOS mentality just perpetuates itself until someone has the balls to have a chat, but the whole poit of DayZ is choice and emergent gameplay so any play style is okay by me. But just like PC eventually the non comms bandits and KOS players fade away to other games and player to player interactions of more interest will occur more frequently. But tbh the server I play on has loads of players who only play on that server and are super friendly & it's always packed and fills up so fast after a reset too.

Yeah me and my friends stick to the same server, getting to know who the regular friendlies and bandits are. It's gold when you find a server that's very active. Once there's a server reset there literally 30+ people rejoining almost instantly so it goes back to a full server after about 45mins or less. I haven't found that with many other servers but due to it's stability , lack of random rubber banding & regular players who rejoin after reset it's a keeper. Found 8 seperate talking survivors today alone on that one server

Yeah assuming that If you have the auto injector and morphine you can combine and then if you suffer a leg break it'll auto inject basically fixing the break either fully or temporarily until you craft a splint. Depends how much they change the bone breaking mechanic from 0.62 . Looking forward to seeing this in action though admittedly with the prevalence and ease of access to 7.62 and .556 assault rifles in this test build breaks won't happen too much as one bullet to the upper chest will flat out kill a player most of the time . Once all weapons are added back in it'll actually make it tougher to find an OP weapon with a mag and ammo as the spawn rates will drastically drop so other objects and weapons not currently ingame can spawn. But antibiotics, morphine and sterilised bandages being needed again to stop infections etc will be a great addition to the game and brig some hardcore elements back to DayZ EZ mode lol

This option should come after 1.0 release but for testing purposes splitting up the player base would be counter productive. The server files have just been released for PC so know the modding floodgate for them has been opened which I doubt we will ever see on console tbh. But I'm pretty site FPP only servers will arrive in time after full release. They'd mentioned a full release date of Xmas somewhere with cars and reinforcing buildings included but tbh I think that's wishful thinking. Not that the devs aren't cracking on and churning out good updates but it's a lot of work. Fingers crossed

I also use Y to reload and never had an issue with guns. Use a 45cal silenced pistol all the time for dealing with zombies and never had a gunfight were Y didn't work since the gun fix update. Think y'all making extra work for yourself, and yep full auto for ak for up close and single shot on M4 with acog for long range. Seems to be less recoil, sway and misalignment on acog over pso. But all the reticules seem misaligned in tpp so only use FPP for gunfights

Hey that could have been me at the military base. Was it the little one north of Staroye? I gave a guy grief for aiming at me whilst I was visibly unarmed. Explained I'd heard him coming as he was fighting zombies & that I'd stay outside of base until he had looted if he would feel more comfortable that way, he looted and then came and lead me to a kitted M4A1 he'd dropped to switch for an Ak. So he went from no trust to giving me a gun because I spoke and putg at ease. Tbh tho earlier I ran towards gunshots by Staroye in another life as found a solo guy shooting zombies who was limping but fully geared. He had a red arm band on and looked like a KOS player tbh but I tried talking to him as I had no gun so wast a threat. he emptied a pistol mag at me and missed every shot them sprayed his AK whilst I'm telling him in comms he's had and the worst bandit I've ever seen. Hit him three times with a machete before he killed me lol, I don't get why anyone plays dayz to just KOS when you could atleast RP As a bandit first and hold somebody up etc . I play in EU full servers and my gamer tags the same as my forum name so keep an eye out for this friendly survivor

There just bad at the game, server hoppers and loggers are the worst. I fully understand wanting some sick loot but if all these squads are doing is hop server in order to go to berezino and kill fresh spawns it's pretty damn sad. Everyday I play this game I end up talking to a player who's never once spoken to any other player yet ingame. People who haven't even seen another player and run away from any gunfire. It boggles my mind

Double thumbs up from this guy

Loot seems same to me & I only play in high population or full servers, even whilst grinding for loot as the game has zero content right now so any challenge keeps it fresh & if I go an hour without seeing, talking or killing someone dayz gets shutdown lol. Roll on more content so we can get rid of all the people begging for the game to be easier. This 0.63 build is easy mode. When there thirty plus weapons and you have to play for 10hrs rather than 1 to to get a mag and ammo, plus with diseases and weather mechanics coming in it'll make it much harder too. Can't wait

Yep ingame in the bottom left it pops up in the bottom left where to report bugs, it's well worth doing an very interesting to see what gets reported and you can even see reports being collated by admins into actionable tasks for other devs or the dev team. Things that get more reports and are more game breaking get prioritised.

Yes you'll hear people in prox chat even whilst in a party set to party chat. I can confirm this, sound like a weird bug you had there I've tested the same thing and had no issues to it definitely requires a more indepth look. I'd suggest joining the bug reporting site and reporting it there though as it'll be read and noticed more by a dev

Never pull left trigger and Y that's what glitches guns. It actually fires the gun ingame aswell. You won't hear it but other players will. I just use Y and occasionally a mag will decide it doesn't want to come out and I'll micromanage it out and tap Y again. I've got hundreds of hours ingame already and since the last update haven't had a single gun glitch. When joining server switch mags with Just Y for all guns ,switch to full auto & render scopes in before starting your journey and you'll always be fine.

Yep pretty sure they were taken out for a remodel and rework, before 0.63 it just took netting and burlap sacks to make the ghillie and was pretty high cost but I assuming it'll receive a crafting change of some kind to make it even more difficult , you can't wear a backpack whilst wearing it or couldn't before so maybe they'll change that too

It'll beep when the battery starts to die, always worth switching channels for a few minutes at a time and calling out if anyone's on the channel. You just use push to talk whilst the radios turned on, even if it's in your clothing or bag it'll still broadcast in prox chat and radio. If a player talks back it'll sound just like prox chat does but with a grainy radio style sound overlay. Hope this helps. I use them frequently when playin solo and have met with large peace keeping squads before through radio communication and gone bandit hunting lol. Good for squads who want to role play it abit more and totally use ingame chat, that way you can loot seperately but still stay In touch but with the risk of other player close by being able to listen in or hear you on there radio.

1. You need to manually switch from party to game chat in the xbox menu, a quicker way of doing this rather than scrolling left to your party and having to go into party options is to simply press your central xbox controller button tap down to party and you'll see contextual options on screen saying tap the start button to instantly switch back and forth. It's much quicker. 2. Yes if you are in party chat and another player within range uses prox chat ingame you will hear it. It's overlayed game sound so doesn't come through your party chat, the sound quality isn't as flood as party chat and it's pretty loud. Seems like the range is about 20-25 meters but I think it's volume based so if you shout players can hear it further away. Hope this helps :)

PU scopes spawn a lot in the small shops with hunting loot suck as canteens, hunting knifes etc. Also try hunting lodges too, there's a great on that pretty central and south of map just 30-50metres north of Dolina, just follow the double tire dirt path just outside of Dolina on the right on the Dolina to Polana road & there's three hunting lodge buildings and a lake. I always atleast find a PU, hunter backpack, compass, mosin, and random assorted hunting stand stuff. Oh and great helms spawn there a lot too. Basically like ten spawn points in every lodge a posed too two in a hunting stand so much higher chances of getting what you want. Hope that helps in future.

So today I had such great experiences on DayZ, my character has survived many days playing solo and in squads, I'd travelled all across the map & tbh I was starting to hope for death so I could start the loot cycle again. Then it struck me, collect a dry bag, fill it with a combat knife, tins of tactical bacon and a canteen of purified water. Throw in the MP5 decked with silencer , 2 mags and a few boxes of 9mm rounds aswell as rope and a sack to make an improvised bag. Then head for the coast find a fresh spawn thats not full psycho and has a mike, then offer him the ultimate starter kit. On my way I found a wannabe bandit sat on the hill near solnichniy, I approached him with gun on back and scared the hell out of him with prox chat, I was the first person he had seen in the game at all lol. Gave him some cans of pipsi after a short chat & left (after asking to not be shot in the spine on my way down hill). made my way out of solnichniy towards berezino when I spotted a freshy looting up houses so ran over and shouted hello and asked if assistance was required, now the guy was French & spoke broken English at best. My French is okay but we came to the understanding that I wasn't gonna kill him and that I wanted to give him a present. At this point I hand him the bag and he explodes over comms with joy! The guy had been spawning and running into berezino death match arena for about a week and was ready to uninstall , but I turned his experience around, I showed him my central route up north using forest trails and hitting military bases and police stations galore all the way upto NWAF where I had to log off and leave him. So Emanuel the French guy.........your welcome & good luck and remember pass it on

Gotta have spare inventory space where mag is stored (weight of applicable clip)to switch mags, also mags have to imbibed in hand with bullets and hold RT to reload. The game won't reload an empty mag with an empty mag . Hope this helps, oh you need enough space around you to complete animation too so don't try reloading in a tree etc as it'll block it.

It's game preview and the game loading screen and forum development cycle details state clearly that with every update players should expect full character wipes. The games pre alpha which means you've paid for the abity to help test the game to make it better over time, that cannot be achieved without constant server database resets. If this process will upset you maybe take a break and play Dayz once it's at 1.0 release

Voip definItely works, I've spoken to several people after update in person and on radio, I even was in party chat and switched to game chat and it worked so dunno why you think it doesn't work. You gotta press down & hold on the dpad to open mike or double tap down to open permanently like before update.
-
Do you have a spare full mag to reload with? Because if not you need to remove mag and combine with ammo in inventory then hold RT to reload then press y again once guns back in hands to reload mag. Games hardcore so doesn't auto reload bullets. Gotta have a spare mag to reload on the fly. Hope this helps
-
Down on dpad opens mike whilst pushed, double tap to open continuously and double tap again to close same as before update but now they've fixed it so you can switch to game chat from party chat & back with out having to reset game to do so
