Seeing as though you have an UZI I'm assuming our on a private hive server rather than vanilla BI servers , by you should still be able to stash weapons & items . You'll need a dry bag , sea chest or hard case & a shovel. Simply place items in said container, drop on the floor and whilst shovel is equipped to hands look at said container and the option to bury stash will appear. Once you've buried the stash you can dig it back up as any new character aslong as you have a shovel and know the stash location. Hope this helps apologies if this makes no sense as I'm drunk as f*ck right now boi

Hey devs and or media manager, any word on when we receive a patch enabling weapon Unjamming, holding breathe, leaning & cycling internal mag rounds for shotgun/mosin. Also any idea when hardcore servers will be updated so that players login with FPP rather than TPP? My kidney is in the post if I can get a sliver of information , yours sincerely gamer at his tethers end .

Same....30 days playtime on console & I'm done. Until we get word on whether private servers or character locked servers will ever exist, sh*t we never even got a dev or media manager comment on the broken hardcore servers, or if we will ever get the Namalsk map or if simple things like lean, hold breathe and unjam will ever be bound or added so I can just rebind them wherever I like on the elite controller I'm outy. Sick to the back teeth of having to kill 1-3 server hoppers everytime I go to a military zone or seeing players exploit the loot by force respawning stuff, it just makes me feel sick to the stomach. I just want a pure hardcore survival experience where I know if I get killed that the other player isn't a hopping exploiting piece of sh*t. Not to much to ask seeing as though the vast majority of players on PC already get that experience through privately owned servers. Tbh at this point I just feel like console players were just farmed for cash for BI, how the actual f*ck don't we still not have hold breathe functionality! Also I'm four ciders in so apologies BI but seriously up your game bro.

Xbox Console forum section ma dude, nice of you to take the time to try and help him though but unfortunately no way to unjam on console yet. Trust me 30days playtime on console and several thousand hours play on PC -

Your assumption is sound in a world governed by logic, but we haven't had a key bound to deal with jamming in console for over a month & on top of that we haven't had any word on when we will receive an update to assign it to any button push. As well as holding breathe, leaning etc not a single word. I appreciate you trying to help this player but us console plebs don't get whole mechanics only half if them lmao. But tbf you guys don't get the option to bind your own keys in 2019 so that's kinda unbelievable also lol. -
Yep the coast is PvP insanity ATM, I'm glad that the PvP players get to experience what they want down there but way to much drama for this survivalist player I'm afraid. I see geared players shooing fresh spawns and it makes me want to find that scum IRL and burn there house down lol. I maybe slightly to moralistic lmao . Sounds like you guys had some fun times though so more power to ya

No way on console right now. The devs in there ultimate wisdom added jamming but didn't assign a button push to unjam, I could understand why you wouldn't believe me. It seems pretty unbelievable. -

@pilgrim* I agree, I don't think players should be restricted to character locked servers only. In fact the more servers with different preset options running simultaneously the better, that way no matter the play style or the need of the individual is catered for. the last thing I want is more restriction , but more options for everyone. Let's be honest , I'm sure BI have & are discussing widening server options for players, they already attempted hardcore FPP servers (unfortunately there not quite working correctly yet) , so there already trying to cater to there player bases varied needs. there in the awkward situation where they can't just hand out private servers to people as that's not been done on console since battlefield 3 and that was a flat fee of about £20 a month to hire a private server from a third party company or ARK survival where you could use a second xbox as a server essentially but that brings with it it's own problems with terrible desync etc due to the lack of power as the fact that xboxs just weren't designed for this function & in all honesty I dont think an xbox one could even handle synchronising 100 players an manage all the server side calculations necessary to work. I'm 99% sure that we will eventually see console Dayz receive character locked servers even if it's just as a test to see how many players choose to play on them, just like hardcore is being tested now (would be nice to see those fixed though so that they actually are hardcore servers). my original post never stated that I want all servers to be character locked but it's easy to see why people would assume that's what I was requesting, I should have been clearer. We can all get what we want, but because we can't have private servers we need to request servers with multpile different variations from BI Because in all honesty I don't think we will ever receive the option to own or run out own servers or have access to mods either. -
Not gonna do much good for decent USB headsets though. Just another cheap Microsoft trick to garner more sales for there peripherals.

Just remember if you agree guys/gals to hit that beans icon on my original post so a dev or media manager can see how much traction my request has. To the players who want to server hop all day for whatever reason, I'm not suggesting all servers be character locked. Both our needs can be catered to, normal vanilla servers can be left up for you guys to hop to your hearts content , you just won't be able to do that then hop into character locked servers. That way the casual players can be seperated from the players who want to play the game in a truly hardcore way and everyone's happy. -

You can still do that with character locked servers. Nothing stopping you having multiple characters across different servers. You'd just have to loot up again from scratch when joining a fresh server, but once you leave that server your character would stay there with said loot ready for when you want to go back. Not a high price to pay to stop hoppers, ghosters & combat loggers. Everyone would have an even playing field. -
Yep it's crazy that the low pop servers definitely have been farmed for loot by server hoppers & I have a friend who plays causally, who assumed they'd be safer on lower pop servers as they just want to base build and chill, they were wrong. Every time they go to a military base, within 5-10 mins they have atleast one or two players pop into existence right next to them or in the base. I get sent daily clips of these hopping morons getting wasted of quickly running into a bush & logging out like the cowards they are. It's ruined the game for me tbh, I've been waitin for 7yrs to play any version of this game & within a few months I've lost faith that any form of hard block for this behaviour will materialise from BI. its the same 5-10 people who play the game that even write posts or comment in posts on the forum already and the servers are just rammed full if people in party chat or with no mike, I had more enjoyable player interactions before the player base expanded tbh.

I'm just tired of consumers on console paying more than PC players for a product and them getting less functionality, were already guaranteed less fps and worse GPU rates so you'd think companies would do the moral thing and reduce prices in accordance with the prodct quality.There's not even been any word on whether we will get private servers ever. -

I get your point but for what other reason could anyone disagree with my suggestion? The only reason I can see that people would want the same character across multiple servers is for the purpose of server hopping or combat logging. Feel free to let me know if any other reasons someone would think a character locked server would be a bad idea. -

I've fully looted twice in last few days in less than two hours running coast westwards then to Pavlovo and upto Zelenogorsk. On my hours I saw 6 server hoppers pop into existence directly in or outside of military bases, 3 of them got deaded real fast, others three ran away or literally jumped in a tree and combat logged Infront of my very eyes once fired upon. Aslong as people hop there will be no loot, one person hopping into five servers at one base means five servers at that base will has no loot till it respawns maybe hours later. Imagine hundreds of players doing that at every base constantly. That's why there's no loot! Use your loaf

So hardcore servers were introduced just Before Xmas that were meant to be fixed FPP and no soft aim screen aiming marker , but unfortunately they weren't implemented correctly and you can stay in TPP indefinitely on joining the server, rendering them pointless essentially. My question to the forum and the devs is, was this purposeful? Was this a little social experiment to see just how scummy the console player base is? Don't get me wrong if it was, I can respect that level of troll by a dev team lol. But whether it was accidental, an error or intentional I'd love to see the figures for people joining hardcore servers who never switched to FPP once joining in order to get an unfair advantage over other players who were willing to switch perspectives (once you switched from TPP to FPP you couldn't switch back without logging). I have little faith in humanity and especially in the general console demographic of 15yr old boys so I should imagine that 90% of people joining those servers were people wishing to abuse this failed attempt at HC servers. whats your opinion? And if your a BI employee I'd sell My left but to see how many players abused that situation. Send me a PO box and that nuts on it's way if you give up the ghost lol .

We'll so far that's 6 views by people who dont agree as they've not commented or liked, so thats 6 server hoppers then. This game will be dead on console within a few months and the only people left playing will be server hoppers who spend all night hopping for gear and logout as soon as they see someone . -
Jesus guys, it's a hardcore survival game. If you CAN find an assault rifle with a mag and ammo within an hour then the games too easy. if you don't have the time to play the game enough because you've got a job, family, etc then go play a more casual game! I know the map inside and out as can get geared within a few hours but that's because I've taken the time necessary to learn the map, learn where the military bases are and the best loot runs, it's meant to be a grind. Eventually/hopefully private servers will arrive as people can create PVP servers were you spawn with a weapon or where the loot table can be modified to increase the amount of weapon spawns, but the base game should and will remain difficult. It's based on a mod and is trying to stay true to said mod. Also they've tested over thirty different weapons in 0.62 and 0.63 Only has what 13 weapons ATM, more will arrive and the loot table will obviously be modified over time to accommodate those new weapons. The whole bloody point of dayz is to survive not to run around mowing each other down with total disregard for your own life safe in the knowledge to can spawn and be geared super fast, that's call of duty or battlefield, those games already exist. Cant believe this even needs typing tbh fml

Basically server hopping is taking the easy option, if yu wanna get a quick kill thrills legitimately then there's other games that cater to that market. At the end of the day once community servers come to console with characters locked servers this conversation will become moot. the people who wanna play the game the ways it's meant to be played , as in a struggle, time consuming and skill based will choose character locked servers and the b*tches can stay on standard servers. There's a reason hardly anyone plays on standards DAYZ servers on PC because of server hoppers and people ghosting into bases. If you can't server hop you can't ghost into someone's base or farm loot like an impatient child. The player numbers on servers will prove me right, people don't like cheaters & cheatin through frustration just shows how morally weak you are in my opinion.

Lol it it was a feature then why are the devs planning methods to eliminate it competely. There's a reason there's a three minute timer for logging into another server :'D . Hey if you think humans interacting with other humans online rather than IRL means people are less culpable for toxic behaviour or that said behaviour doesn't hurt other people gameplay experience then I dunno what to tell you. I personally couldn't look myself in the mirror if I server hopped my ass off to get loot in a hardcore survival game lol, if I caught my kids playing that way I'd snap there game disc and explain morality a little better.

Plus why should any one respect the opinion of someone who actively plays the game a way it wasnt intended to be played by server hopping gaining an unfair advantage against honest players? Seems like flawed thinking to me. No respects a cheater

Basically cheating in any game against other players by server hopping does equate to cheating IRL though, would you encourage your children to cheat in games? Do you think any of those kills you got server hopping for loot were earnt fairly? I couldn't care less either way, just intrigues me the duality of people conscience when it comes to gaming online as opposed playing a game face to face. It's a lot easier to cheat & not feel scummy when you don't has someone watchin you isn't it?

True dat, I'm sure at somepoint character locked servers will occur. Failing that a system whereby you can't log out or in, within 1km sq of a military zone could be an answer but that very restrictive to players in a game that already requires a huge a out of ingame knowledge. So things like that just confuse or anger new players or uninformed players (which is almost everybody in some way as there's no indepth tutorial or deeper mechanics instructions) I personally would main any character locked fixed FPP server, and be drastically reduced playtime until they become a reality.
