I agree, probably the most fun I’ve had so far was being in that gun fight with them. It was so hectic trying to figure out who was who, and all the gun fire attracted a ton of zombies. IT WAS A BLOOD BATH.

So I understand that this is part of the game, but it still feels slightly dirty to me. I was playing with two other friends tonight and we finally managed to meet up, so we moved to a Military base. We all had some guns but were by no means fully kitted. As we were working our way trough the base a group of 5 guys spawned in behind us in a building we had just looted. They started shooting first but after a VERY intense fire fight we managed to kill them all without anyone from our squad dying. Every single one of the guys had at least 8 full clips of 5.56 on them and assorted guns. Now like I said I understand this is part of the game but I can’t help feel like what they were doing is borderline abuse. I just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts on server hopping and wether they feel like it is a fair, legitimate tactic; or if they would prefer the devs try to implement some way of blocking it.

Yeah that happens when I zoom in as well, the red dot on an AKM is pretty pixelated too...

Also has anyone been able to find any attachments for the M4 or AKM? I’ve found a red dot and some other scopes but haven’t seen any stocks or grips, just wondering

From what I was reading, right now there is no way to switch between semi and full auto, but apparently it is a feature that is planned for the future. Kind of a bummer, I would love to be able to switch between semi and full on a M4

Out of all of the weapons we have available to us on console right now what are some of your guys favorites? Personally I’m really liking the AKM right now. I have a suppressor and a red dot and I honestly prefer the single fire of this gun over the M4.

Make sure you are using the right ammo. There’s two types of 7.62 ammo. - 7.62x39mm - 7.62x54mm (which the Mosin uses)

I’ve had something similar happen to me. Except it was after I went into a bus. It has to do with the player model getting stuck in the mesh of another object. I had to lay down, jump around, and try to go in and out of the bus until it was fixed

Also currently there is no good indicator of how many slots and item has, so you need to look it up on the wiki to figure out the exact amount.

Every item has a limited number of slots, for example 8. Even if you haven’t hit the max weight a backpack can carry you may have ran out of slots. The only way I know of, besides moving things to your pants or jacket, is to use a protective case and fill that with items because the case will be the only thing taking up slots. Hope that makes sense and hope it helps!

A few tips that help me survive: - Water drains really fast, especially if you sprint. I NEVER use sprint; which should make it last longer. - Keeping the extra water bottles you find (even the empty ones) is amazing as you can refill them later. - Here is a map you can use. https://dayz.xam.nu You can filter it so you can find water pumps. - Also you are able to loot any zombies you kill (Press “select” while standing over the corpse) they don’t always have something but more often then not there’s food or water. Your player should carry over from server to server. The only time you are reset is if you die. If you are still having trouble, before you join a server look at the server # before you join so you can find it again. It should be something like 366####, so you only have to remember the last 4 numbers. Also what helped me with connecting was to use a server that was in my region. I’m from the US, so I use a US server. Favoriting is disabled atm but you can still filter by regions. Hope this helps!

Weather: - Rain has a direct impact on you. If you are out in the rain too long you will become cold. Prolonged exposure can kill you. - You can fill your canteen or PET bottle in the rain (haven’t been able to test on Xbox) Survival: - If you are taking consistent bleeding damage (from another player) you will lose a lot of blood and eventually die. You can use a bandage or a rag to stop the bleeding. - If you are shot in the leg you will become crippled. To fix this you need to use a splint. (Combine branches with either a rag, duct tape, or bandage)
