    The only way to survive for long is to move undercover, observe the players and find out if they have a group and how they behave. You will be amazed by the horrors kids are capable of, and how many nice players with army camo or glaring red/orange/green backpacks and helmets are hiding out there.

    Clothes got nothing to do with it.

    Personally at that point I'd have 1 person as overwatch. 1 flank, 1 push. But hey whatever. 

    Yesterday I got shot by a guy who missed like 10 shots. He tagged me once, but his aim was buns. He easily could have waited until we stopped again or gone for a headshot but he pushed us, so I camped a Bush and tagged him 2x, and guess what, he combat logged. It's funny how playing over aggressive is so predictable. 

    I too dont like the identical military tribes but they lack basic instinct. So if you can get them to a choke point it's easy defense. The tactical squads which you dont see alot of, those are of course the real worry.

    My thought is, if your playing aggressively, at least have the kahones to stick through the fight. Win or lose. If you're playing aggressively, dont waste all our time and combat log.

    Lads, Yous are all sensible, well respected players/forum members but youre all hypocritical here and barking up at the same tree your running from.

     

    You say, you need uniforms to identify players; a system of some sorts and/or moan about bandits or certain players KOSing but on the same hand yous are saying when I see guys in milly gear and/or masks I Shoot them? 

     

    Can only have 1 or the other...In my book, dont judge by the cover and just observe or move on. Shooting fully kitted milly guys because they are suspected KOSers or bandits by looks totally shits on the point? See what I'm saying?  Players will dress and play as they want and majority of actions cant be determined by appearance.

     

    A faction i recently met with are all mainly in camo milly gear and some even masks but they are the lesst likely people to KOS, I know 100% we dont even open up unless fired upon or threatened...but if you guys saw us; by your logic.. You'd shoot first and then we'd have to react.

    Its authentic and realistic in the style of a playable video game...

    You edit and tweak things that suit the style of gameplay that you, as a developer and/or player want to play and experience in the game. 

    Its like a 'Real life' 'True Story' Movie...its exaggerated in parts and dumbed down in others, with some parts completely removed. Not everything is worth keeping the same as its boring so parts needs hyping up to put more action/effect in and other parts are too 'explicit' 'repetitive' etc so they dumb it down or remove it. 

    For example; Apple trees, if you could take every apple; you would never starve?  Totally making it pointless to even have a starvation meter of food is so readily available.

    You're missing the point lol

     

    Discord isnt used for voice comms. We use it to keep the community together. We have active factions, 8 to be exact who use our discord  and play on the same servers. To RP, The discord is just the hub of the community.

    You can voice chat using it but its soley used to keep the community together on discord. Text channels so interaction/communication can be done. We have actuve events, bounty boards and 8 active factions on the discord. 

    In game, its game chat we use. The discord isnt uses for voice comms.

    My honest opinion is unless your going full on PVP they are pointless...

    Weight too much & protection to weight ratio isnt worth it. If someone spots you first; you're dead if that player isn't a retard even with the vests on. If you play smart and dont get caught out then you don't need a vest. They slow you down by minimising stamina and stamina is vital; stamina and some common sense will save you more times than a vest will.

     

    Until ballistic vest pouches are on xbox then I wont wear a vest as its just like filling your backpack with bricks.

    The Problem is that as soon as things respawn they get looted by fresh spawns ( if they find it of course ), thats why alot geared players are cannibals at the coast, cause fresh spawns are a easy meat source and plents of water sources are in the villages, cities and near the coast ( swamps for example ).

I always atleast find a PU, hunter backpack, compass, mosin, and random assorted hunting stand stuff. Oh and great helms spawn there a lot too.     Most are crying about it when it led me to a PU scope.

    Be good to have a few RPs having some fun once a week. I tend to use the same server always and if People are interested I will share server No. And work out what day and time is best suitable. In the UK so all times will be published. in GMT.

    Do any of you use discord?

    We have an active community server where there are RP/MILSIM groups and also solo runners...We have a few factions and all play on the same servers and have mulitple ways of interaction in and out of game to keep the action moving. 

    Once private servers are released there will be active servers up 24/7 to play on.

    Update - You don't lose anything past a certain time limit, I haven't worked it out yet but twice in 10 minutes its happened. Quite frustrating.

    Found a cooking pot; Was storing items into it and server reset. Lost the new cooking pot. 

    Second time, Found a yellow protective case....Sorted my items out and boom...reset. lost the new yellow protective case.

    Luckily didn't lose any items that I was storing as I can only mico-manage items into the cooking pot etc whilst its on the ground, in my vicinity. 

    I feel though, if the timing is right (or wrong as it would be lol) you would potentially lose your items.

    Searched every where since the game came out, Hunter's sheds & towers, milly bases and camps and even scoured police stations and every other place there I could of possibly had some luck...But no, nothing.

    Was a bit disheartened by the wipe, not majorly dissapointed as that wipe makes the 3rd restart from being pretty geared. 1x death in a gunfight and 1x to the bug so I know I can loot up fairly decent and shouldn't really die to thirst or starvation. 

    Plodding along and just left electo up past the dam and decided to check the med centre and sheds there and what was there...My PU scope, Waiting for me. Sorry they had to wipe our characters but it was all in a good cause.

    I'm just curious if the devs know that the latest patch has removed server restart notifications. It is rather inconvenient to spawn, run 200m, then get kicked, repeat because another server was restarting then get locked in database because I triggered the server hopping issue.

    Hope it gets resolved soon, I need to know as do many, when servers are resetting. It is a fairly valuable piece of the UI in game

    Seen this earlier at work...I just got my fresh spawn character logged in and after an hour, ping...I got kicked. 

    I was so immersed in getting back to some sort of decent pregression and totally forgot theres no reset timer pop up lol 

    Didnt lose any items or leave in a bad place, All is well I hope lol well, After I got a skalisty island spawn and ended up making it nearly to cherno already and getting half decent spawn loot along the way I hope thats whats just happened anyway haha

    Well basically, youre better off to stop playing now and come back once its full release or after a few more months of development. 

    Either way, if you run around like a twat, as you put it, whether its for an hour or 5 minutes, you're still going to lose progress. Just how it is rn as a game preview. Put up or shut up is the way about it.

    Both of those named servers were locked too? 

    I've seen them on my list before, I'm assuming they are active servers for devs etc probably their 'test' servers of some sort for xbox.

    Granted, some times it has to be done but today, the update wiped EVERYBODY so common sense will trll you that near enough all the coastal spawn towns on every server will be looted as thousands of players try and gear back up lol
