    there's a general misconception that 308 and 7.62x54r are big calibers... they're not, in fact all calibers in unmodded dayz are small bore calibers! 308 is actually the smallest round allowed to hunt the big 5 and only allowed in some countries, most countries requires bigger rounds. dayz only have 'military rounds', even 308 found in hunting shacks is ball ammunition. a jacketed bullet will go in/through pretty 'clean' unless it hits bones or vital organs, afaik the only vital organ dayz still have is the brain hitbox and the only bones you can break are your legs. irl soldiers learn to check each other for wounds after a firefight, because of adrenaline some don't feel their wounds, adrenaline is a really powerful 'drug'. think of it, you're enjoying the sun, out of nowhere you get shot, your reptile brain the amygdala kicks in, it's fight or flee and within seconds your pulse is up and your body is full of adrenaline. dayz aims to be authentic, not going unconscious after being 1-shot with a jacketed small bore caliber is authentic... unless it's a headshot ofc with every new patch i hope the devs moves forward and adds a rifle with 338, they could even rename it 338 puala magnum 🙂 i would use a chambered sako trg 42 over any other hunting/sniper rifle in the base game^^ 308/7.62x51 is only slightly bigger than 7.62x39/5.56x45 https://imgur.com/oEftjtO

    ^^ 1f you c4n r34d 7h15 u r34lly n33d to g37 l41d these where also the culprits for me. could be the density for butane in liquid form was used by mistake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butane), for a heat pack going from 200g to 1300g my best guess is they where (ab)used to much on winter maps and this is the devs way of 'solving'/nerfing this, but it's just a guess. seems servers are all over the place, but lets hope when they fix that they get around to stuff like this 🙂

Let's re-reintroduce the weight-bug, nothing better to ruin a good gaming experience than being crippled by low stamina?" I used to be a pretty fit guy, being able to mantle high walls etc., but after 1.20 I'm to fat to even jump! I only picked up a FAL and a frag from a guy I met (he won't need it anymore), so that's what +4-5 kg? And before any of you unpaid/underpaid fanbois/girlz start with your "you're probably wet", the answer is no, my clothes etc. are drier than my 80 y.o. grandmothers martini, my gun cleaning kit and leather sewing kit are damp though. We all know the phrase we throw at ppl. for fun "it's not a bug it's a feature", if this is indeed a feature and not the 3rd. weight-bug (iirc) then it's actually worse than being just another bug and shows the devs clearly don't play the game and have no understanding of the game they are working on 😞 There's a wealth of people that know so much about the game, every time I watch just an hour of one of these streamers, I learn something new (to me) about the game; Smoke, Therunningmanz and Amishzed, I think just these 3 streamers alone have more than 25.000 hours in Dayz combined, so with this ocean of knowledge please tap into it! And if you have to pay for it, do it. This is update 1.20 = 20 updates into a full release, I expect better by now, time to bring your 'A game' or sell the rights for Dayz II to a company that will.

    The ground in specific structures still hide mines and maybe bear traps. The vicinity still doesn't show placed objects, boxes, chests, kits etc. etc. etc. Before stating something is "fixed" its a good idea, to test if it indeed has been fixed. https://imgur.com/a/FqZArgp Other stuff in update 1.14 looks ok, I'll test more later 🙂

    It's a double-edged sword, on one hand you don't want ppl to glitch through textures when exiting stairs on the other hand you don't want practically impenetrable bases, so it's lose-lose either way you play it, you just have to decide which side to 'err' on. I know impenetrable bases are some players wet dream, but I think this 'feature' should be reserved for modded servers, not included in the base game. For reference; these days I'm more of a base builder than raider, so my opinion isn't based on my current play-style.

    We all liked Tenet, what a great movie! But someone should have told you its fiction. When I ask for when I was 'told' and you quote ppl who post after I ask this... well thats just some inverted stuff and I can't keep up with that. I quoted him and used his name, if he wants to act on this is up to him. Everything about me is unaffected whatever state the different branches of dayz are in. ty I'm so happy I reached this milestone and ty for the welcome. You are just 2 peas from the same pod, I remember your avatar from another thread, where you were providing wrong information, telling me the 'sunk' in floor probably wasn't a bug. If what I'm doing is trolling, I think you should report me. Dayz is my game of choice for now, not because I can't buy other games, but because I like it and want whats best for it to be a success. You may believe me or not. "In a game with this amount of bugs, hidden/strange features, situations where the moon, sun and planets need to be aligned in a certain way to perform an action; the last thing you need is for unknowing ppl. to start 'helping' others." misleading information, wrong information etc. wont make it easier to iron out the bugs! Skim through the last pages in this thread, someone was even telling ppl the fencekit bug wasn't a bug but a feature, how is this level of information helpful driving the game forward?

    there must be an echo in here, I could have sworn I just heard the same thing twice. In my country we have this joke, when someone ask to help you and the help is not of the quality you need, you politely reply "no ty I don't have time for that" So if you see me ask questions in the forums, you don't have to 'help' me, I will politely let you know now I don't have time for it.

    I've worked as a bouncer, in law enforcement and telemarketing and I thought, I had been called all at least twice, but I've have never been called a prophet before. I don't know if its an insult or a cheer, nevertheless I think its cool so ty. I would be happy to give bohemia 2-3 times the profit I already have, if it meant a better game. In a game with this amount of bugs, hidden/strange features, situations where the moon, sun and planets need to be aligned in a certain way to perform an action; the last thing you need is for unknowing ppl. to start 'helping' others. So after your 2 latest answers were debunked, you now answer something else. We could start over with the "Do you actually know something... etc.", but tbh you're starting to bore me and I already learned enough about you from your previous answers, my curiosity is satisfied, so lets not. Could you be so kind to let me know when I was told this. I think you are a funny guy/girl, so to help you here is the replies I got since i asked impulz. "Both stable and experimental are the same version, no difference between them right now." "wtf? looks like you're the one who's trolling here" "The stable and experimental versions are only different when they are testing an experimental version. Right now the last experimental version was pushed to stable so they are the same. In other words, there's no experimental right now."

    Gotcha, so its "you just think you know something", like a theoretician with a complete ignorance for empirical evidence. What you write is true in theory. After the latest experimental update hit stable it brought the fencekit bug, without first testing the fix on experimental this bug was quickly fixed on stable and since, for no apparent reason, the fix hasn't been applied to the experimental branch. It's that simple. Based on your location there is a high chance your 1st language is english, so you should be able to skim through the threads and understand this. These are strange times, with corona lockdown/isolation. I would advice you to get out in the fresh air, get some oxygen to your brain and get your head straight.

    Hi ImpulZ On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is really bad and 10 is really good, how good an idea do you think it would be to also add this fix to your paying customers on the experimental branch? It should be quite easy, since the fix is already developed. Brgds Nick

    after this update fencekits are bugged. I tried in 15+ different types of buildings, but it's impossible to place fencekits. Many of the buildings I tested in were in industrial chernogorsk, so big buildings with plenty of space. I tested on a unmodded community server running 1.09.153402 + the official 1st person DE-xxxx, both have the same bug. https://imgur.com/a/9AGGcNb you don't have to f11, just start up on another hive 1st/3rd person or unmodded community. I just wanted to test fencekits and survive long enough to test in 15+ buildings, so my goal wasn't to survive for a long time. But I got surprised how easy it was after reading ppl saying it's really hard now. After 1h16min my character is stable and kitted with end-game gear 🙂 I could start basebuilding etc. and I even skipped some military and hunting loot spots. https://imgur.com/a/9AGGcNb as I see it the only real dangers are still other players + bugs

    sometimes bugs overlap and then you really have a party 🙂 1) the floor is bugged I can't see vicinity on anything I build including a low fence, small tents 'sink' in the ground so you can't crouch in you have to crawl etc., so yes this is certainly a bug. I think this bug was 'introduced' in the 1.08 patch. Here is a video of the bug seen in another building: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T153789 2) If you can add all items but the rope with your hands without using vicinity just by finding 'the magic pixel' and using 'attach', but it doesn't work with the rope, then again it's a bug not a feature. Mechanics for stone oven is; you can build it but not ignite it, when the ceiling is to low. If any logic sense, I know i'm dreaming, but if any logic sense was applied you would be able to build the flagpole but not raise it when the ceiling is to low. What is the ceiling restriction for flagpoles, is it for some reason a big secret or a poor excuse when it doesn't work? (for stone ovens BI has stated it's 5 m.)

    whatever do you mean??? this is blasphemy, you will be stoned by the blind loyal fanbois/girls brigade 🙂 anyone know if the bug with the rope has been fixed, the floor is still bugged in 'my' building, so I can't see vicinity and I need to be able to just point the rope and add it, but I don't want to haul 32 large stones, just to find the bug is still very much alive?

    Hi, has anyone been able to build the flagpole or is it bugged? I've added everything but the rope, the floor is bugged so I can't see vicinity and I and can't find 'the magic pixel/spot' to attach the rope. https://imgur.com/UwCQkzb I'm building in the big rectangular building with double blue doors in one end, in industrial novodmitrovk you will find 7-8 of them., I'm building in the one in novaya. Any help would be appreciated 🙂 Also are the devs aware of the bug in this buildings 1st floor, where you can't see vicinity when building? Brgds Nick

    I used the feedback tracker 3 times: 1) the issue i reported where well-known (another weight bug) and already fixed internally, but wasn't listed under known issues = I wasted my time 2) I couldn't log on to the feed back tracker, it had a bug 🙂 = I wasted my time again 3) Another user answered and helped me The thread starter with the word manager in his title is properly not some unpaid/underpaid interm, he has an direct interest for Dayz to be working, maybe he even has some bonus scheme were he earns more, if the game does good. So any game-breaking bugs I expect him to notify the devs. BI is not some frat boys coding a game in their moms garage, in their last annual report you can read it has about 400 employees and a multi milion revenue. Well I don't work for BI and I don't fix their game, I support the game, I bought it 3 times and the overpriced dlc once. The title of the thread is "Experimental Update 1.08" irl a longer barrel gives higher exit speed = higher damage with same bullet , many games has this implemented , but maybe not Dayz Where is this from, do you have a source? What is described is a jacketed round operating as a hollow point. In the late 1800 in the hauge/haag convention (iirc) it was agreed hollow point wasn't allowed to be used for warfare. It's gonna be EPIC 🙂 I see this will be pushed to stable, if you have a base and want to modify/expand it, do it before the update hits, modifying/expanding existing bases might be fubar after the update hits!

    Seems the bug is still very much alive! here are some numbers, clothing seems to mess up upon server restart and only when your character wears the items. All items are dry: base plate carrier 84 kg base plate carrier 73 kg empty holster 3 kg , 0,25 kg after restart stored in a barrel empty pouches 7 kg empty pouches about 1 kg empty pouches about 0,5 kg ballistic vest (2 smokes 2 nades) 37 kg field jacket 10 kg , 2 kg after restart stored in a barrel cargo pants 5 kg , also 5 kg after restart stored in a barrel hunter pants 6 kg after restart on the char these are the numbers i remember, I'm sure there is more, my team-mate has a mosin at 10 kg, a plate carrier at 21 kg etc. -----

    has the game-breaking stamina bug been fixed ? I think this is the 3rd or 2nd patch-update where existing chars get their stamina reduced to about 5-10% one was even pushed to stable iirc. Until you guys have a more capable team/work procedures, maybe only push updates on monday mornings, it will give you the hole workingweek to fix your mistakes, so your customers can enjoy the game in the weekend? I know i play the experimental branch and bugs are to be expected, but this just seems like untested 'work' being pushed for paying customers to test. With almost all IT, you have a rollback option, why not use it when you introduce game-breaking bugs? At least one of my teammates argues for us to play Deadside, if we still have this bug when we meet this weekend, then he has a valid argument. Brgds Nick
