    Had it happen since the early 0.63 versions as well, but lately it seems to happen to me more often. It happens on vanilla and community servers. I don't use mods. When I play community it is always on the The Village or the Runningmanz server. I always assumed it was an issue that could appear when you log in with your weapon in hand. But last week I found out this is not the case. I read here and there that it has to do with alt-tabbing, but even without doing so it might happen when I log in. It can only happen when I log in and raise the gun for the first time, never in the middle of the play session. Might be on my end, as to be honest, I was surprised that I didn't see any posts on it. Will take a look around, but if anyone found a solution to this, I would love to know. With that being said, I heard of others having it, including my friend upon logging in.

    In 1.03, can we also expect a fix for the instant firing when pressing right mouse button? It makes me paranoid every time I log in and want to raise my gun for the first time....

    Correct, that mentality is in some ways the same as KOSing. Sometimes KOSing might be a tactical choice, but also I had my fair share of players that did anything to kill me while I had nothing. Nevertheless, it is on Bohemia to balance base building. And I know it can be tricky as everyone has a different idea on what is too difficult or too easy to raid.

    Sounds like my own experience on base building. Had a great time building my base and in the first few weeks I only had the regular break ins by destroying one wall. However, after coming online after a few days of not playing, I just found my whole base to be dismantled. Only the foundations were still standing. I even went on a journey to find nails... Finding 5 boxes and used them all the rebuild a good portion of my wall. Couple of days later, even those rebuild walls were dismantled. Why somebody would take the time to just ruin somebody's base goes beyond me... Until they balance it, I have no interest in building a base any more.

    I noticed some improvements in this area actually. Placing it on slope ground, even it is just a little, can prove difficult. However, I noticed no problems when placing it on flat areas in a field or forest. Before 1.02 it was even almost impossible to place it on a flat surface.

    Cars work pretty good in offline mode... It just becomes a bit sad to get a new car in the last patch while online they are almost unusable due to server performance issues.

    Dunno about the bug, but the slower metabolism is welcome. They only need to reduce the amount of food that spawns so it evens out again. But then again, this is all connected to a missing feature called fishing, and the lack of diseases when eating raw meat

    Thanks great video! The darkness itself looks fine in my opinion, its just those trees light up like I am having a white glow stick attached to my forehead...

    I do want to note, after toying a bit in the offline mode, that the overall increase in brightness at night is perfect. You can clearly see the night sky, tree tops and have at least a sense of where you are going while still being pretty dark around. Still, we need moon light back and the too bright interiors and some objects are still killer.

    I think most people are not against the 'personal night light' because it makes the night more visible, but the fact that it is just a strange and visually unpleasant way of increasing night illumination. First of all, interiors are now much more bright than the outside, which should not be possible. Secondly, some stuff is just too bright at dark which makes it pretty ugly. Thirdly, like Derleth perfectly mentioned, moon illumination seems to be completely gone. I'm willing to even give the personal night light a chance, but before I do, it seriously needs to be toned down. Or at least make the interiors and some objects not as bright. I do think that the nights from 1.01 were too dark and my first reaction of the 1.02 night time was positive, until I noticed the interiors and some of these shiny objects. Nevertheless, I was already suspecting that the moon lightning was gone with 1.0 and I am happy that Derleth and others confirmed this suspicion. If the devs can just bring back moon light and use that as a light source to illuminate the night (perhaps not as much as during 0.63, as it sometimes was pretty bright at night) it would be perfect....
  16. Agree with especially the interior lightning. The darkness of the interior was pretty good during 1.01, please get this back. It is waaaay to bright inside houses now!

    There is no delay, you need to make momentum for jumping over obstacles. We get vaulting in a future patch to get over fences/walls when standing right in front of it.

    Some good stuff in this update! Tons of fixes and a few very important ones, such as tents being more easily placeable on non-flat surfaces and infected not glitching through a player! I like the new weapons and the addition of a new car. I hope that the server performance has been increased noticeably as well! I did expect at least one new feature, like vaulting/climbing or fishing. When can we finally expect a new feature in DayZ? Also, I see no fixes for vehicles in general while the current Lada is still a pretty challenge to drive...
  21. Prior to 1.0 the communication was fine, but not perfect. There were things in 2018 that got communicated poorly but overall with the bi-weekly SR and continues dialogue on Twitter, it was good. So now post 1.0 we still have a nice Twitter dialogue and Impulz has been pretty active on the forum as well from time to time. What I don't like now, is the rare and irregular SR. The game is just as much in development as in 2018, so I can't fathom why they almost stopped having them. At least do a monthly SR... The roadmap is taking too long as well. January is great, February is alright, but March is just too long... So to conclude, it was good but it got worse overall. I do appreciate the community managers being active on Twitter and this forum though
  22. Well on PC bases do not de-spawn any more.... But to build a base is still pretty worthless. People just need one single badly damaged hatchet to come inside. They simply break down the lower wall and then crawl through the lower wall foundation. From then, if the they are big-time griefers, they can easily dismantle everything from the inside. They actually get something back from it as well, as when you dismantle something you get like half of the nails and wood back, which they then can use for their own base...

    I hopped into several vehicles and none of them started flying with the current patch, but I can't confirm 100%. In my experience yes. My own base never had a wall or tower magically dissapearing. Even the cable reels and working lights stay put for over a week. I also spotted several other abandoned bases that are partly destroyed. Even after weeks the wall frames are still standing.
