It is still a tad too easy to raid though.
-
Nope, but what would you like to know more? It is 99% certain that the patch will drop either this or next week.
-
It is the flare gun
-
Isn't the network side of DayZ purely Enfusion as well? If so, and I think it does, then there should not be much difference. Some are even speculating that work done on Enfusion for Arma4 will benefit Dayz as well. Interesting to see what the future brings us.
-
Haven´t checked the figures lately but there should be around 15,000 - 20,000 people online, spread out across various modded and unmodded servers. But honestly, it sounds like DayZ is not your type of game. Don't expect the game to change at all. Honestly, not even sure what you expected the game to become? The way you described the game is exactly how it is and how the game will be for the years to come.

I watched some vids on the truck and it seems to do pretty well offroad and with hills
-
I'd expected the truck to return with one of the 1.10 patches, but where are the improvements to vehicle stability?
-
Exactly this. I can't fathom why they had to change it.
-
Me neither, but I would not be surprised if a lot of people did have trouble with it. The bushes look very regular and the berries are so small you barely see them when you aren´t actively looking for them. So I think it is great that they try to make their appearance better and/or looting better.
-
I don't think they got removed. They just don't count towards overall character temperature comfort anymore
-
Very curious to know what is happening with the berries. Changes to how they will be found-looted? As they were pretty difficult to find. I am even confident that most people didn't even knew of their existence. By the way, also looking forward to see certain berry types to be bad for the player, same as for the shrooms. Also interesting to see what we will see in the upcoming patches for 1.10. As the truck was teased a while back as well. Perhaps another weapon? I do feel that just a flare gun feels a bit bare. That being said, love the broken bones, huge changes to the temperature/wetness system and other new content! Great patch!

From Wikipedia: Duping refers to the practice of using a bug in a video game to illegitimately create duplicates of unique items or currency in a persistent online game, such as an MMOG. Duping can vastly destabilize a virtual economy or even the gameplay itself, depending on the item duplicated and the rate at which duplication occurs. Modern persistent world games include automated detection of duping. Duping is considered to be a game cheat. So basically people in dayz can dupe ammo to have unlimited amounts. Now honestly I don't think this is an big issue at this moment on PC. I think duping rarely happens. Might be different for consoles.
-
That's because it is modded. The vanilla game does not have such ammo type and thus no mention on the wiki. Maybe look up the mods the server uses and then check the mod on the Steam Workshop. It should tell it there what it is used for

Have to agree with you here and thank you for posting this. I had build my first base back in patch 1.01. and that was a travesty. So with the changes in 1.08 I decided to try building a base again, and just after 1.09 went live I started. I was disappointed to see that after just four days I already got raided twice. Currently I am not near my PC for a long time due to work, but I would have loved to see what would happen over multiple weeks with the base. I mean, I had no people dismanteling my walls (This happened multiple times to my base back in 1.01), so it was pretty easy and quick to rebuild my walls. Nonetheless, with being raided twice within such a short time frame I started to analyse why it still is so easy for them, as prior to building my base I imagined the current amount of grenades, bullets or melee hits was sufficient. You know, that only determined raiders would attack. Well, obviously it is still a tad to easy. But it does take a big amount of bullets and five grenades sounds pretty decent for just one wall. Perhaps melee weapons should lose quality faster so it requires more of them? At least, I have the idea that they raided my base with melee weapons. As it seems a waste to use so many bullets on a wall and grenades should also damage walls around it, right? Another idea would perhaps to increase the spawn rates of base building items = more nails and thus easier to create two-walled compounds. Anyway, I do agree with the solutions that you provided in your post. I usually compare the basebuilding and raiding to Miscreated, which IMO always had it perfectly balanced when I still played it. Basebuilding resources were easier to get, so raiders needed to pass through three walls. One wall required easily 6 hatchets, if it wasn't even more. I had that base for months and only got raided a couple of times. To conclude, I love basebuilding and it really is going into the right direction. But I do think it is not entirely there yet.

Shoes get damage very fast from pristine In 1.09
amadieus replied to Snake14180's topic in New Player Discussion
I'm fine with the rate that shoes get damaged. I do think that the bleeding effect happens to fast and often though. Depending on your location and luck in finding a replacement, you might have a very bad time when your shoes get ruined. Thankfully footwear is pretty common in towns -
Some surfaces are penetrable. It is also known that official servers have some hacker issues. But as Tandwan said, without footage it is difficult to tell what the exact reason was.
-
Hopefully we will be seeing the mp 133 with grip and pm 73 soon. I feel that police departments lack police specific weapons at the moment.
-
I can. But then again, I do not play on 300 ping servers as any person. Either get on a good server or find some twitch shooter.
-
On Pc? It might go on sale during the Halloween sales of Steam
-
I do not see any aiming lag. He presses and the gun raises.

It is a great looking map that plays pretty different than Chernarus. It has more military locations and in the south of the map it is mostly forest with very little towns to loot. So basically you have to hunt and fish to stay alive. Most servers do play on Chernarus though. But if you really get hooked on DayZ again and would like a new environment, then I can recommend it.

I think he means that DayZ is not a 100% Enfusion game/project. The next title will be a proper enfusion project in the sense that is fully Enfusion

I think spawning with the chance of damaged clothing is fine. It adds to the variation with each spawn and also in difficulty. Sure it might not be equal and thus 'fair', but I can't see why this actually matters in Dayz? If people are that desperate for pristine clothing, then just let them suicide till they got what they want. I think many others like the additional challenge when they spawn with damaged clothing. Besides, most towns that you spawn next with have tons of clothing to replace it very quickly anyway. Love the change that we start with a t shirt by the way. Finally many more clothing options are interesting again.

Kinda strange assumptions that you are making. You sound like you want to have quick military weapons. That is not what DayZ is about. Currently we already have enough military weapons, therefore we need more civilian/police weapons to create a better character progression. I want to spawn in and be happy to get my hands on a Sporter or BK18. I want police stations to be more interesting again, by having them spawn police weapons that are still missing. Currently we only have the Scorpion. By adding the MP133, PM73 it becomes very worthwhile to investigate a police station near a spawn town. Further inland we should start to see more mosins and civilian shotguns. If I remember correctly, the MP5 used to spawn most of the time (or only?) at the police car wrecks in 0.62. This would make police cars wrecks also much more interesting. In the current game you can find a civilian shotgun with ease at a spawn location. Then it is just a matter to find a long range weapon and to hop over to the military locations to replace the shotgun with an AR. This lacks progression, which would make the game much more interesting and rewarding. I do agree that weapons need balancing though.
-
No, we need more civilian and police weapons for a better character progression. Hopefully we see the MP133, PM73 and Trumpet before they start adding the Aug/M249. I do kinda fancy the Bizon though.
