That's the player's fault for not surviving. I know I won't be one of those unlucky victims.
-
For all the haters I'll just have you know this concept is bullet-proof I've thought it through to the core. The ban will be linked to game ID so the banned players can simply purchase a new copy if they want to have a new life since they will technically count as a different survivor under a different game ID. This will happen since there are plenty of rich kids who's mothers will purchase anything for them and it will also speed up development as people purchase new copies of a game they quickly fall in love with due to its unparalleled realism. So all the people complaining about the game being unfinished will have their wishes fulfilled far sooner and we will all get an authentic gaming experience.
-
Let's face it, the current weaponry in the game is rather weak. Its an apocalypse after all. The military would surely have left behind some missiles. Players should be able to nuke Cherno and Elektro like in Fallout 76, and everyone within reach dies. They should also be able to fire missiles that auto lock onto a selected target. This will allow for players to wipe out entire squads from a control booth, and make game-play far more engaging. Just think of the emotional tension that will be created knowing that at any moment you could be incinerated. As a counter measure players will build underground bases, the only truly safe haven.

The game seems to be even more bugged and glitched

That's because you fail to adapt to your environment. -
DayZ has just left early access, what version number do you think DayZ deserves?
-
Everyone whining and moaning about development time without realizing that it is the players who are to blame for DayZ being in its current incomplete state. All the early access supporters bought the game for very cheap which means they ripped off the developers who have poured their heart and soul into this project for years only to barely scrape by with minimal financial compensation for their overtime hours. So instead of complaining about a problem that was caused by you, instead you can take responsibility and take action like Jordan Peterson recommends. This means purchasing the game a second time at its full price which will give the developers the money and resources to make DayZ a dream game by May 2019. If you read this and find yourself still complaining in 5 months from now just know the blame lies solely on you for your inaction and neglect. In fact I recommend a triple purchase because that is how much value the developers have already poured into this project. The alternative route is micro-transactions to buy paint cans if you want to color your favorite weapon. This is an option I fully support because I care deeply about making DayZ great. We keep on surviving!

It is not an assumption...it is literally the case. They were working on a new engine, content was created behind the scenes in the meantime that has not yet been implemented into the new engine. Now the new engine is in place, so they have more time to bug-fix and implement content/features. For all beginners frustrated with DayZ, I have created a step-by-step guide so you can become an amazingly skilled player like me:
-
Game development is slow in the best of cases. "Development speed" will stay the same, but the perceived speed of development will increase because now that the engine is in place, developers can make more frequent updates to features and content, as opposed to working on the foundation for the game itself. A lot of content was worked on but left out of the current release because it made more sense to wait for the new engine before implementing. Now that the engine is in place, more frequent updates can be made that have an immediate impact on the player's experience.
-
I think the visual only fills to a certain point and then stops...
-
I'm not moving goal posts. I'm observing basic logic and facts about reality. The new engine delayed development, so now that it is in place development will be much quicker. I don't think it should be called 1.0, but I don't really care what they call it as long as they continue development, which they have explicitly stated they will.
-
1.0 is misleading because it simply isn't that. The new engine is finally in place and over the next two years major bugs will be fixed and features and content added in. The game is currently in a mediocre state but if the developers fulfill their promise of continuing to develop the game, I think it will drastically improve over the next two years. Development has seemed so painfully slow because the creation of the engine consumed a lot of time.

I was traveling through the woods a couple hundred feet outside Staroye. As I was climbing a mountain I suddenly hear a voice nearby say "Security!" Yet I looked all around me and there was no one in sight. I think the ghost of Chernarus wants me for how many murders I have committed and being so good at DayZ. This is a true story.
-
It wasn't a faint ambient noise in my case...I thought it was a hacker or the server owner. I'm not sure if server owners are able to broadcast. I wasn't near any towns with speakers, so it wasn't that. Or maybe there was a bug and I heard a voice from someone far away. But it was bizarre...
-
Once you have all that fancy military gear, the biggest threat is losing it. I have found a solution to this problem. Make sure you have a few cans of food and water with you, then climb onto the roof of a very tall building. Look down upon all other plebs with your binoculars and enjoy the view until night time. Then just sit and gaze at the stars until daytime. When you run out of resources, go get some more food and water and climb back onto the building. Repeat infinitely and never lose at DayZ ever again.
-
Hello beginner, allow my expert tutorial to assist you in becoming great at DayZ. I became the best and I did it with absolutely no effort whatsoever.
-
The servers are maintained during maintenance period.
-
With no military gear one will feel like a loser...to be the best one must dress like the best.
-
I log in and spawn in the ceiling of a house in Staroye with a semi-geared character. I look around the room then walk downstairs and a geared character peeks the corner with a rifle and shoots me before I have time to react. I died. It makes me suspicious that he knew my location so quickly. Do you think he has wall hacks, or is it just bad luck and he happened to be right beside the house I spawned in and heard me?
-
Good news my new character has now 10 magazines with 3 different guns so I can use a full magazine on each innocent player I encounter on the beach.
-
Because the servers listed as 'Full' have 50 slots in the server browser.
-
I am only seeing 39 official servers, public and third person. And they have a 50 player limit instead of the normal 60 player limit. There seems to be an issue...
-
Only 39 servers found, none higher than 50 player capacity

When I search in the server browser I only find 39 official servers. This is with only the Third Person and Public filters enabled. Usually there are more of them and they have 60 player limit while being full. Anyone else having this problem? -
My new character is surviving and thriving got plenty of magazines loaded ready to shoot down people in military bases with and be the champion.
