I'm sorry if I killed you, but safety comes first.

I am actually the best player in DayZ, if we're going by stats. I welcome you to check out my free tutorial here: My current life I have murdered 6 innocent victims, half of them armed. I look forward to murdering you next. Look out.

I'm sorry if I killed you, but safety comes first.

It had to be done, safety is a priority when surviving. I went to the coast to obtain netting, which I did, but murdering the helpless unarmed players was a wonderful bonus!

    3 Expert Tips For Basebuilders

Greetings survivors, Many base-builders in DayZ are complaining about their bases being broken into, or being too hard to make, or disappearing when they reconnect. So here I am to provide you with 3 essential tips that will make your base-building experience one that is both a rewarding and immensely pleasurable endeavor that you may regularly participate in. 1) Choose Smart Locations - A lot of players attempt to do this, but fall into the trap of building their base the first place a sneaky bandit would think of. They choose the outskirts of the map in a dense forest thinking, "No one will ever find my base here!". Well guess what the bandit is thinking? He is thinking, "I wonder where my victim would place his base in order to keep it hidden? Hmmm...why don't I check the outskirts of the map in the dense forest?!" And just like that he finds your base and breaks in and you come back to have your hopes and dreams shattered. We have to think two steps ahead of the bandit. I recommend putting your base directly in the center of the North West Airfield in plain open view. Now you may be thinking, "But it's too visible and that area is so popular that my base will get broken into!" Sorry, but that is not how their minds work. When people go to the North West Airfield, they go there looking for players and guns, not bases. This means that they will be completely oblivious to the base standing right in front of them, since they are so obsessively focused on locating a green bandit with a juicy M4. 5 months later when you rejoin the server you will find your trusty base right where you built it. If you don't believe me, then try it out, and believe science instead. 2) Just Accept That Bases Are Extremely Difficult To Make - This is a survival game after all. If it were easy, bases would be worth nothing, and you would find Hogwarts castles every 50 meters in your travels. You will appreciate your beautiful base so much more if it took you 400 game hours to build, as opposed to a measly 4 minutes. In the apocalypse, everything is hard, and making a base is no exception. Consider yourself lucky if you don't die of thirst trying to finish the roof on your tiny little wooden hut. 3) Contact The Server Owner And Make Sure He Is Backing Up Persistence - It is your responsibility! The developers have given us some very clear instructions to get fully functional persistence in DayZ. That means that the core game loop is already in place and able to work as promised for 1.0 full release. Good server owners will backup to protect persistence. Good survivors of DayZ will personally take the time out of their busy day to message the server owner and wait patiently for a delayed response to ensure that they are playing on a server with functional persistence. If you do this, you will choose the right servers, and never come back to see your base missing again. Problem solved. There you have it ladies and gentlemen, 3 essential tips that will get you started on your way to being a master base-builder. I wish you the best of luck. We keep on surviving!

DayZ Is A Perfect Dream Game

Good morning survivors, Let me tell you, I have played this game for many hours, and I have come to realize one important thing. DayZ is all I could ever ask for in a game. Intense gunfights, hiking all over the vast land with magnificent views, killing players wherever I notice them, having no mercy, all these things DayZ gives me perfect power to do. I love zombies, I love wolves, I love guns, I love killing people with my guns, and I love eating and drinking water bottles. I love putting on my favorite clothing and sitting with a fire. I love turning on my flashlight in the cold, mysterious night. You cannot fix perfection, and this is perfection. From this point on, the game only will get better and better until every last player will admit this game is perfect. If they do not, they simply do not understand. Once they give us more guns, and more cars and more helicopters, this game will be beyond perfect. I predict a meteoric surge in popularity in 6 months time. I can see the vision this developing team has already achieved and where they plan to go. For this I only have complete gratitude and thanks for this wonderful marvelous game we call DayZ. On behalf of myself and all other survivors, thank you DayZ developers for all your overtime hours. If you agree let them know. We keep on surviving!
  6. If you travel around for many hours and meet no one, and find really good gear, then you become more and more relaxed as you feel more secure in your environment. You stop scanning for other players as often. Your mind starts wandering and loses focus. You begin daydreaming. You just feel immersed in the world as you hike on and on, hearing the wind and birds, and the hypnotic thud of your boots. You forget that Chernarus was ever dangerous. You make more risky decisions. You travel on main roads instead of through forests. You stop looking behind you, and you stop making sure that no one else is in the building you have entered. Then you see animals, and decide to shoot them and kill them even though you already have plenty of food. "Oh wow, I just shot bullets. That was loud, I didn't realize how quiet it had been. Was that a mistake? What if someone heard that? I should get moving". So you start moving through the town and check the medical building. Then you head to the police station and notice that the infected are aggravated and making noises. It's unusual so you wonder if someone is in the station. You go up and check the stairs and see no one. You open a door and all of a sudden there is another survivor with a big red backpack and a rifle, kneeling and looking out the window as you stare at the back of his head. Your mind goes blank and you raise your fully loaded AKM instinctively, pointing it straight at his back. You fire a shot and his backpack is ruined. You pause. He begins to turn around and you send 3 more shots into his back and watch him drop to the floor, presumably dead. Your heart immediately begins to race. You check his body and take the ammo and food that was not ruined. Then you think, "Wait, what if he has friends? I should get out of here now." You panic and run out of the police station, attentively scanning your surroundings for other players. You retreat into the woods outside of town. Your heart is still beating fast. Your feel the adrenaline coursing through your body. Then it dawns on you "I just killed someone. I never expected that...I'm so lucky I saw him first. He could have killed me! I could have died. I did it. I'm still alive. Kill or be killed. That was so intense. Let's keep going..." I think a primary reason that encounters like the one above are so intense in DayZ is because they don't happen very often. If they happened all the time, you would get used to gunfire and danger, and it would become the new normal. But instead your normal environment is peacefully hiking through Chernarus without significant threat. You develop a false blanket of security the longer you go without seeing someone else. You take it for granted that you are safe. But then after some amount of time that feeling of relaxation is suddenly interrupted by the sight of another player. Now you are no longer safe. You spiral from order into chaos.

    Carry weapons around

I'm very attached to my beautiful deadly weapons because I'm so good I never lost it against all odds. Truth is you have to be attached to your gear in order to use it.
  8. We all want PC updates to make DayZ more than the dream game it already is thanks to developers amazing work. My question is simple, how often do you want to wait for updates? Small updates more often or big updates rarely, only you can decide.
  9. Survivor1431

How Frequent Do You Want PC Updates?

I'm too busy killing innocents. You can tell by asking yourself how many updates you want.
  10. Survivor1431

    New zombies

Devs want dangerous infected too, and have stated its a current priority. I think survival should be brutally difficult. You should be forced to use your gun on infected or predators to survive, which will in turn attract attention of players who may kill you. Right now I can axe them one by one easily. Should be a struggle to find food and starvation should happen more frequently. With bad server performance currently the infected and wolves get stuck or move in slow-motion, which makes it too easy to kill them and acquire food from their bodies. Once they function correctly and are deadly, it will be a larger risk to try and kill them for the reward of food.
  11. They will work on Xbox once PC is finish give it some years.

    Warning To All Survivors

Hello survivors, Today I am here to offer you a free professional lesson in survival. I am the best survivor in DayZ and have maintained number 1 position on the leader-boards since this game entered early access. I was killing some infected with my fire axe right beside a military checkpoint. When I turn around, I see another geared player with a gun. He raises it and points it at me and I am now in survival mode, operating on pure adrenaline. He puts his gun down and decides to be friendly right as I put my axe away, my only thought being to get my pistol out. He raises his arm up to wave hello. By that time I have already taken out my pistol and have it pointed at him for fear of being shot. By the time I register that he was being friendly and that he was waving at me, I was busy putting 3 bullets into his head. In the back of my head I know I should stop shooting, but the animal brain in me wouldn't cooperate. He drops dead and I realize that I have just coldly murdered an armed survivor who was attempting to be friendly. When I enter fight or flight mode I am not thinking logically, I am focused only on preserving my existence. By the time I recognize that he is no longer a threat, he is already dead with my bullets embedded deep in his skull. Once he is dead I go over and pick up his loot, still feeling the adrenaline, but now noticing that it had caused me to act brutally towards this poor survivor. At this point I am still paranoid another survivor heard the gunshots and will attack me. I retreat into the forest and hide behind bushes, reloading my pistol and organizing the new loot I had collected. I then hear a gunshot coming from the military base. Perhaps a different survivor heard the earlier gunshots and headed there. I decide I need to get far away, as I didn't want to be killed. As I walk further away from the military base I realize how lucky I was to not have been shot dead, had the first survivor decided to kill me before I had noticed him. I ethically question my decision to shoot him. Does this mean I am a cold-blooded murderer? I sure felt like one, and felt slightly sorry for him. But then I have a second thought: maybe it was not my evil nature that lead to his death, but instead his poor communication. Had he not pointed his weapon at me and put it away in the beginning, and instead used his voice to indicate he would not shoot, he may still be alive now with all his gear. Maybe I would have shot him no matter how he approached, simply due to being surprised. I had not encountered anyone for several hours prior to this survivor, so perhaps his presence alone would have lead me to impulsively shoot him down. But surely his chances of survival would have been far better had he communicated verbally. I am quite a ruthless killer, and it is why I remain the best player in DayZ. I am willing to do anything in order to maximize my chances of survival. Ethical concerns always come second to survival. Let this be a warning to all other survivors out there, you are not safe. If you approach someone, you better be prepared to kill immediately, or quickly communicate your friendliness both verbally and visually. Or simply avoid others altogether. Otherwise you will one day have my bullet in your head. Is my nature evil? Yes, but that's only human nature. We keep on surviving!

    Chernarus Life ?

I am not working on this mod. I kill everyone I see and I enjoy taking their belongings. Karma system is for Minecraft players. The only karma in DayZ is the existential dread of having brutally murdered innocent players who are completely helpless and pleading for you to release them from captivity. I hope this answer your question.
  15. DayZ is already a perfect game but I will be happy when they add in hardcore diseases to make even the veteran players shudder in fear in a corner afraid to catch any virus. The whiners will continue to whine but I do what I do best which is kill people and remain disease free with full military gear like a boss.

loot farming with infecteds and boats

Farming other players is my favorite technique. Run around the map and kill whoever you see and take everything they have.
  17. Survivor1431

So whats the easiest way to

When you spawn look down at your feet and use the ground texture to determine your location. For instance, if you look down and see a rock, you now know that your location is on a rock. If you look down and see a pavement, you now know your location is on a road. Using this method I never fail to determine my location within 10 seconds of spawning.
  18. Hello survivors! Most of you new to the game may encounter some major bugs, along with a sparsity of content. This may lead to aversive emotions which include but are not limited to anxiety, frustration, boredom, dysphoria, and confusion. While reminding yourself that the developers will fix these issues may temporarily put these emotions at bay, this is a band-aid fix and not a real solution, as your pain will likely re-surface the next time you log-in. Thankfully I have devised a solution for you. The key to resolving your needless suffering and enjoy what DayZ has to offer is to recognize the illusion of the self for what it is. Much of our suffering is born of an identification with thought. That is, we think without knowing we are thinking, and imagine that we are authoring each of our thoughts and actions like a writer writes a book. This could not be further from the truth. The conventional conception of the self is an illusory impression that can be seen as such by paying attention to the nature of experience. When one pays close attention to attention itself, it is possible to notice that the impression of self vanishes altogether, if only for a moment at a time. What one is left with are the mere raw sensations, sounds, sights, and feelings uncolored by discursive thought. It is at this point that one may recognize the true nature of the self: pure awareness. Next time you log-in to DayZ, don't do what you usually do, which is to go search for that gun to kill on sight and unleash your inner rage. Instead, pay close attention to the rooster sound each time it arises in consciousness. Watch it appear, and then watch where it goes. You will notice that there is an intrinsic pleasantness to concentration. While this insight takes practice to stabilize, you may soon realize that this rooster sound offers a beautiful richness that you had not fully appreciated while lost in thought about all the things that DayZ could be. DayZ can and will be a lot of things, but it is time for you to notice what DayZ is, which is simply another appearance in consciousness. We keep on surviving!

    Pro Survival Strategy

I will teach you a strategy that I have used to my advantage as the leading player in DayZ. When you get shot in Berezino while unarmed, flee in desperation while wounded and moving at a slow pace. Then allow another random player to hear your attacker and shoot them down. Use this brief window of opportunity to escape and survive. He never saw it coming. Works every time.

    Game Concept: 1 Life Servers

There should be servers that only give you 1 life, and if you die, you cannot ever respawn again and get banned permanently. This would add a lot to the realism aspect of DayZ. Right now there is no reason to actually survive, since a more simple way of improving your health is to commit suicide and click respawn. There is just no powerful incentive to survive at this point. People can still have their multi-life servers but the real hardcore players would like an authentic experience. This would also deter kill on sight since no one would willingly allow themselves to be seen for fear of death. We keep on surviving!

    Game Concept: 1 Life Servers

Yes this is why PvE is so important so you can get an authentic experience of being the last remaining survivor in Chernarus.
