Infected Should Be Able To Break Down Doors

For those survivors who possess the popular misconception that I am not the original author of this concept, I would like to clarify your misunderstanding. I proposed the idea before joining these forums, and I have irrefutable proof that I proposed it first. Here is the proof: Premise 1) Either I was the first survivor to introduce the door barricading concept or another survivor was the first to introduce the door barricading concept. Premise 2) Another survivor was not the first to introduce the door barricading concept. Conclusion) Therefore, I was the first survivor to introduce the door barricading concept. A breakdown of the logical form, a disjunctive syllogism: Premise 1) Either P or Q Premise 2) Not Q Conclusion) Therefore P As you can see my argument is both sound and valid, and the conclusion necessarily follows from its premises. I hope this flawless proof clears up any confusion you may have about who the original author of the door barricading concept really is. Thank you.

Infected Should Be Able To Break Down Doors

It has been only since I expressed the idea many years ago. From there it caught like wildfire by word of mouth and went viral. To put it lightly, my idea quite literally became a global phenomenon. Fortunately no one else has been able to articulate the concept with such elegance, so viewers immediately detect its true origin.
  3. Hello survivors! Today I have a simple question for the few of you who remain. Are the infected still getting stuck when they chase you, or did the new update fix path-finding? Every day is a new story!
  4. These 10 features will save DayZ from death and revitalize the gaming experience: 1. Rubber bands - you should be able to use these to fling at other players. They don't do much damage but can momentarily blind a player if you hit their eye. If you hit their face it will just stun their head a small bit. But they are also used to show disrespect which can lead to interesting interactions. 2. Slingshots - you can craft these using rubber bands and sticks. These do significant damage when using stones as ammunition, and can knock someone unconscious or make them bleed. You should also be able to shoot fruit with them which splatters on other players. Then players can have food fights with each other or use food to disrespect other players. 3. Long-term health conditions - nutrition should have long-term consequences for your player. Eat too much sodas and flesh and you will develop obesity, diabetes, cancer strokes or heart attacks, which can be fatal. The obesity will make your character huge and walk slowly. It will also make you more visible when traveling due to your size. Eating plenty of healthy fruits, vegetables and vitamins will avoid these conditions and keep your character lean, healthy and mobile. 4. Hurricanes - there should be a rare chance of hurricane which will create extremely strong winds which can send you hurling into the air which can kill you on impact. Smaller objects will fly around and if they hit you it can kill you. If you are near the coast it can create huge waves which can cause you to drown. 5. Digestive waste - you should have to urinate and defecate every so often. If you don't you get constipated which can weaken and slow your character and you can also wet your pants which is just plain embarrassing. It can also be a sign of disrespect to defecate in another player's base or tent. You can let them know who owns the territory. You should also be able to drink and consume it with a very high risk of disease and illness, but could keep you alive as a last resort if you would otherwise starve to death or die of thirst. 6. Mating - players should be able to get busy with one another. This will cause female players to get pregnant which will make them require more food and water and they will move slower. Eventually the female character will give birth which has a risk of being fatal. But it will produce a little baby which you can keep alive if you choose or you may abandon it by throwing it in river and pretending it was never born. Getting busy with other players whether male or female can also spread disease so its a risky activity which could lead to death. But the only benefit being a slight boost in health and speed due to improved psychological health from feeling physically relieved. 7. Slapping - DayZ is largely about player interaction so you should be able to slap other players. It can be used playfully and it makes a slapping sound as you smack their cheek. Or it can be used to disrespect other players, for instance you can slap a fully geared military guy and see how he feels about it. Or you can slap a helpless hostage who disobeys your commands. 8. Hallucinogens - you should be able to take magic mushrooms found in the wild that will give your player hallucinations. This can be for players having an existential crisis surviving alone and trying to distract from their miserable existence. But with this will come good and bad trips. The good trips will be funny and exciting but the bad trips will have scary imagery. 9. Musical instruments - you should be able to find these rarely. It will include guitars, flutes, drums and their cases. This way you can choose to be a musician and go busking and serenade any survivors you encounter in the hopes they will offer you gifts in exchange for a great performance. 10. Hanging players - this is a horror game after all...you should be able to hang yourself as a way to suicide, but also to hang other players that you have restrained. This will break their neck and kill them and they will remain suspended for other players who are lucky enough to come across their corpse. This will create a tense atmosphere knowing that you could be next. There you have it, 10 excellent features that will take DayZ to the next level.
  5. I was once a beginner at DayZ and would die constantly from starvation, bleeding, bullets, you name it. But I learned some critical things that made me not only a great player but now I can safely claim I am the best player to have ever graced the game of DayZ. Here are my top 10 tips if you ever aspire to achieve my greatness. 1. Always leave landmines behind doors. The best player in DayZ is excellent at getting extra frags, and this is the safest way to do it. Sure, you will never know if you got that kill or not, but trust me, you did. And they lost all their precious military gear. 2. Do not be friendly. Friendliness is a beginner mistake that leads to death in most circumstances. Sure you might make a friend or two if you're friendly, but mostly you'll just be dead. Always strike first and strike hard and have no mercy. 3. Pretend to be friendly even though you're not. DayZ is not only about mechanical skills, it is about psychological warfare. Get on another player's good side and then smash him with a sledgehammer while he is eating that rice you so graciously gave him. This strategy will greatly increase your frag count and take you closer to being the best. 4. If you knock the player unconscious and have restraining gear available, always restrain the other player and resuscitate them. Then you can remind them of who is king of the jungle while feeding them disinfectant. The best players are always in control of the situation, and with the enemy restrained, you have ultimate control. Its also a nice way to have company with you without any risk of being killed. 5. Camp military tents. This one takes some patience but will definitely increase your kill rate and make you the best. Just get your precious M4 and sit in a tent in Tisy military base. Let the helpless survivors walk in one by one as you mow them down. Each time you get a kill, make sure you switch tents! 6. Prey on fresh spawns from rooftops. Why go for other geared players when you have more than enough gear? The best way to be the best is to kill the players who have very little or nothing, because its unlikely they will be able to kill you. This increases your chance of survival. 7. Steal other players cars. This is a fun one. Did someone friendly invite you for a ride? Great. Now when you stop to make a fire, quickly hop in the driver seat and drive away as fast as you can. Now you have a car all for yourself and you didn't even have to fix it! This will give you the edge against other players. 8. Infiltrate and destroy other players bases. Clans may build big bases and this will allow them to store precious loot and dominate other players. Get a gun and go break their base. If there is anyone there just shoot them. Then take all the good gear they have stored inside and leave. Now you've removed the threat to your dominance and have better gear. 9. When you spawn in, chase down the other fresh spawns and kill them with a stick. This is a great way to increase your kill count, get some more gear, and be the best player in DayZ. Its time efficient and easy to do, just make sure they don't have a better weapon than you. You'll get their food and rags for a faster start. 10. Lie to every player you meet. The truth is your enemy in DayZ. The more other players know about you, the more they can use this information against you. When they ask you where you're heading, or what your name is, or what you have in your backpack, always lie. They won't know and will trust you anyways. When they look in your backpack that you put on the ground, after you told them it has a precious night scope you don't want, now they're vulnerable to your fire axe. You know what to do. I hope my tips will help beginners as well as other veterans to become much better at DayZ. I rose to the pinnacle very quickly due to natural talent but I'm very grateful for this position I am currently in. I've had so much fun at the top of the DayZ leader-board that I wanted to share some of that goodness with all of you. We keep on surviving!

    Player disappeared with handcuffs on.

He must have had the newly added invisibility cloak.
  7. I am fully geared with an AKM and returned to the coast to look for netting so I can craft some camouflage for my gun. Night had arrived so I was slowly traversing the beach turning my flashlight on and off as I search boats. Then I see a fire in the distance, near Solnechniy. I approach slowly using the darkness as cover. I use my scope to get a better view of the fire and see two survivors huddled around it, no doubt talking to each other while they warmup. They seemed to have very little gear and no weapons. I knew what had to be done. I center my scope on one of their bodies, hold my breath, and fire. He drops dead. I aim left and shoot the other one. He too drops dead. I go over and shoot their heads to make sure they are dead. They had no gear, but I now felt a little safer. I proceeded down the coast but it started to rain and my character was getting cold. So I get some sticks and bark and then build a fireplace beside the road, lighting it with my matches. I warm up briefly in it and the rain stops. I move further down the road and notice a survivor with a flare. He notices me ahead and drops it and runs away. I look from a distance with my scoped weapon to see if he returns to the lit flare on the road. Then I continue along the road and notice he is running towards me with the flare while I am at the gas station. He stops in front of me and I point my weapon at him. I put it down to see what he does. Maybe I will be friendly. He doesn't say anything and starts moving towards me, now within 3 feet. I backup and raise my AKM and fire several shots into his body. He drops dead. What had to be done was done. I move to a hidden location and fill my water and refill my weapon's magazine. So many more victims to come. I'm sorry, but any threats to survival must be eliminated promptly. You better pray that we never cross paths.
  8. Hello survivors! Many of you seem to be under the false impression that persistence should be a number 1 priority for the DayZ developers. This could not be further from the truth. Yes, persistence is a very nice feature to have, but it will always be secondary in priority to content. Why is this, you ask? Because without content, there will be no objects to persist! Persistence is functionally useless without content. Therefore, content is the correct number 1 priority, and persistence comes after. Only once the game has content does it make any sense to have working persistence. Then finally that precious content of yours will be able to persist. Although persistence should obviously be fixed after server performance, cars, infected, bases, diseases, fractures, throwing, helicopters, nighttime, hypothermia and many others. But if one thing is for sure, it comes after content. I'm glad I could clear up this common misconception for all of you who love persistence. We keep on surviving!

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

Haters will be haters, but I knew that would be the price of fame. I live for results, not people's opinions. Facts and logic win every time.

    Status Report - January 2019

And a perfect status report at that.
  11. Hello survivors, We all know that first-person perspective makes for the most rewarding experience, requiring realistic skill, and forces you to peak corners to acquire information. The problem is, so many players are scared to play in first-person servers because its harder. I don't play on them because there is hardly anyone playing them, and even on full pop servers player encounters are rare. So I have devised a solution: force all servers, both community and official, to be in first-person. Players who like viewing their character can just look at it through the inventory. This will successfully ensure that players fill up the first-person only servers, because they will be the only servers available. DayZ is intended to be an authentic, hardcore survival experience and third-person is neither authentic nor hardcore. Players who like looking at their character still have the option to do so. Please sign my petition so the developers will take action. We keep on surviving!

Use a Torch or Run Around in the Dark

I use a flashlight and turn it on only when I need it to loot or navigate, but keep it turned off whenever possible (such as when crafting or organizing my inventory, or walking along a road at night).
  13. Survivor1431

    Reverse robberies

If you see me, be warned, you could be in for torture and death.
  14. Survivor1431

Haven't played in about 4 months, anything new?

You can fly cars now and there are player animations.
  15. Survivor1431

I'm sorry if I killed you, but safety comes first.

This would be a novice decision. These survivors could notice me and then stalk me and attack me when I am not looking. So I preemptively return the favor.

    Status Report - January 2019

A perfect status report for a perfect game. What more can I say... We keep on surviving!
  17. Survivor1431

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

It is from my mental database of true logic and facts.
  18. Survivor1431

    Creepy areas of the map

Towns at night, because of the risk of being swarmed by infected while having poor visibility.
  19. Survivor1431

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

Ad hominem fallacy. You sir, have been debunked. Try again.
  20. Survivor1431

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

DayZ is a dream game which deserves to be called 2.0 by now. Any extra features and content and bugfixes are just icing on the cake at this point.
  21. Survivor1431

Do we get Status Reports still or...?

They said they will release one at the end of the month.
  22. Make sure you see them first, by constantly doing visual scans or your surroundings and listening for movement or other survivor actions. Once you spot them, ensure you are hidden from view. Take out your fully loaded AKM with a scope and focus on the enemy target. Brutally murder them as they stop to check their backpack. Then walk up to the dead survivor and take all of his valuable gear. This is the best method for approaching other players. It ensures you remain safe and you get bonus gear at little risk. It is also pleasurable to watch them die. We keep on surviving!
  23. Survivor1431

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

The main point of the game is clearly to kidnap and torture unarmed players before killing them. Here's the video that inspired me to purchase DayZ:

Content is #1 Priority, Not Persistence.

You guys missed the point...If there is no content, there can be no persistence, because there is nothing that will persist! It would just be hypothetical persistence. Content #1, Persistence #2. Yes indeed, I am a genius.
  25. Survivor1431

    Very elaborate rail system...

The train should have turrets so you can gun down unarmed survivors walking along the tracks desperate for food.
