The real reason why there won't be a Roadmap...

I appreciate your speech you truly believe in what you say but I`m afraid I have to let the logic and facts speak for me and the truth I have provided for the public.

The real reason why there won't be a Roadmap...

Judging by the comments above me I can tell that not a single one of you understands how game development works, so allow me to explain it simply. Game development is a long process that requires time and has periods of increased and decreased rate of progress. Road maps are always a foolish idea because they limit the creative potential of the developers and waste their precious time in completing the masterpiece. Paid micro-transactions allow the development to remain financially feasible in the long-term, whilst also giving players some extra enjoyment for what they are paying for. Truth be told it is forum members constantly complaining based on their primitive comprehension of how to make video games that sets the developers back the farthest because they have to reallocate coding time to handle public relations.

You know youve played too much Dayz when.....

You know you played too much DayZ when you're still eating innocent survivors along the coast after destroying them with your M4 and laughing with the knowledge that they have to start all over again.

    Nespesney just quit DayZ...

Thank you so much Peter your legacy will not be forgotten I look forward to polishing the masterpiece you have given us. I am definitely going to eat some innocent survivors on the coast in your honor.

When ya gonna actually fix your game.

You got tricked by the April fool's post! The developers aren't spending money on a rollercoaster, they're in fact working hard at making this perfect game even better then it already is. I see you have been struggling to survive in Chernarus and find a way to defend yourself. Search hard and long young Padawan, and you will eventually be victorious. That is, if I don't mow you down with my delicious, pristine stash of 5 KA-M's and 6 M4's. Good luck, son.

Sorry to sound like a broken record..

An assertion without evidence! Dismissed as dogma.

Sorry to sound like a broken record..

You're gonna have to search harder son, this is not Call Of Duty.

    Not a happy Ending

I would have killed them all with my bare hands that said I'm the best player in DayZ so I succeed where most others fail.

    Future DayZ

How do you know what they planned?

    What is the hydration limit?

Is it worth drinking water until stomach is full if the water icon is white and full, or does hydration max out once the water icon is full and white?

    Future DayZ

I think zombies opening doors is really important. It's currently way too easy to run into a house run out and close the door to trap them. They should be delayed temporarily and then break open the door so you're forced to either escape and hide or kill them. Then if you have a lock-pick it should take them even longer to break the door open. And if you barricade the door with boards it should take really long or be impossible. But this would make fighting infected far more interesting and threatening.

When will more vehicles be added?

I don't want more vehicle and gun models. I want better performance and increased player count, bug fixes, and more challenging survival (infected can break doors with barricades and have better AI, advanced diseases, bears, fractures, etc). Unless the player count is increased, you can go a very long time without an encounter, so PvE needs to be more of a challenge. Although bikes would be cool.

    What is the hydration limit?

Interesting, a bigger difference than I expected.

    Short words

Your player character is literally attached to his gear in DayZ.

How many CPU cores is Dayz using

I have an i7-7700k, 4 cores, 8 threads, and my CPU usage never bottlenecks, in fact there was a ton of headroom from what I remember in testing, but I can't remember the exact numbers.

Storage UI needs to be fixed.

It works perfectly, you just have yet to figure it out son.

PLEASE reverse the NEW "Client Side Personal Night Light"

Night light is opposite of realistic! It is now neon party light inside yet pitch black outside except for the neon trees and the neon fences! Solution: 1) Remove night light 2) Add realistic moonlight! 3) Watch all the night light warriors get mad!

    Roadmap

I'll tell you what the roadmap is: Hour 1) You walk around all innocent with your big bag of loot, oblivious to your surroundings Hour 2) You're dead on the ground after receiving my sledgehammer for Easter Hour 3) I'm feasting on your tasty flesh while it roasts over the fire
  19. Hello survivors! Most of you have probably experienced that classic moment in DayZ after walking around for hours in search of something to do, where you have contemplated whether or not you should become a bandit. I'm here to offer an airtight argument as to why you absolutely should do so during your career. If you watch the Matrix film, a cult classic phenomenon that has revolutionized how we think about reality, you will realize that the existence of The One depends on the existence of Mr. Smith. They complete each other. If there were only heroes in DayZ, they would not be heroes. One depends on the other. Without darkness, there is no light. The heroes only can only conquer evil if it exists. Heroes are good and should exist. Therefore, fulfill your ethical obligations as a Dayz survivor and join the dark side! But fear not, there a wide variety of bandits that DayZ needs to truly thrive. Here are a list of suggestions that I personally recommend you to choose from: The Psychopath The Thief The Mischief Maker The Friend Betrayer The Team Traitor The Military Madman The Existential Nihilist The Trophy Hunter The Sadistic Torturer The Impulsive Murderer The Dogmatic Terrorist The Deceiver The Reckless Drunk Driver The Innocent Civilian Sniper The Nighty Night Ninja The Sledgehammer Slugger The Delirious Firefighter Please feel free to recommend your favorite type of bandit so that others can be inspired and we can increase the total number of bandits in DayZ. Every day is a new story!

Why Banditry Is A Moral Obligation In DayZ

Yes, 99 bandits and 1 hero, the perfect balance.
  21. I couldn't be more satisfied with the developers communication with the community. In fact, I would go so far as to say they have the best communication of any development team since the advent of gaming. Even with a fully completed masterpiece they are regularly in direct contact with their biggest fans and if you check their Twitter page you will see a fresh, new update is about to happen! They also restrict honest opinions and topics created by community members to ensure that only the most common and popular opinions are heard. Censorship is very important in this digital age and we cannot have rogue community members dissenting against popular opinion. The rebels must be controlled.
  22. I thought deeply about this dilemma and have arrived at an effective solution. It is really quite simple, the developers implement a Battle-Eye hardware scan feature which scans the brightness of a player's screen throughout the night. If their brightness exceeds a certain threshold the player will receive a warning message: "You have exceeded the brightness limit, which is considered a form of cheating. You have 1 minute to turn down your brightness to an acceptable level before being banned" Then after 1 minute if the player doesn't turn down their gamma they receive a global ban for 30 min. The second ban is 24 hours, third ban 1 week, fourth ban is permanent. Believe me, players will be sure not to cheat if there are consequences.
  23. Pro Tip: When you get fully geared with several loaded magazines for your M4 and complete military gear, head back down to the coast. Kill all the unarmed players you see. This minimizes your risk of being killed because your enemies are defenseless, plus you get to steal all the food they collected for you, meaning you never go hungry. If you're really hungry, eat their corpse for excellent nourishment.
  24. Hello survivors! I am here to provide you with a brand new concept update while the team of developers is hard at work bringing you the ultimate DayZ experience you used your entire yearly allowance to pay for. The problem is that currently the infected are simply not dangerous. While being chased you need only sprint into a house and close the door, and the house is now an impenetrable safe zone, a residential paradise. Then using your pistol through the windows, you can conveniently pick off an entire horde of zombies with virtually 0 risk to your life. This is roughly equivalent in difficulty to playing Minecraft in creative mode or Skyrim with God mode enabled. This is where my genius conceptualization enters the picture. Imagine that the infected can, after a short and variable period of time, manage to open the door. Closing the door buys you some precious time to bandage, but it is only a matter of time before they flood into the room and destroy you. So then you decide to lock the door. This buys you even more time before the infected manage to break the lock and open the door. As a last measure you use some wood and nails to barricade the door, buying you a lot more time to recover. But none-the-less, after rattling on the barricaded door for an extended period of time, the infected finally break down your defense and flood into the room. You've used the few bullets you had left and now there is only a fire axe between you and several infected. This is my original concept that DayZ developers desperately need to implement to transition the game from a mere house-camping simulator to an authentic survival simulator. It is at least twice as important as helicopters. I'll accept my paycheck for creative contribution once implementation is complete, thank you. Every day is a new story!

Infected Should Be Able To Break Down Doors

Sir I have already provided conclusive proof that I am the original author. Please see my formal argument above, thank you.
