    Base Building System . *NO*

lmao dude have you played epoch during the old dayz era or nah? basebuilding could have limitiations when it comes to building directly in cities from the server owners and the development team in general different players, different playstyles.
  2. Benavides

    Basebuilding....why?

    mods, friendo
  3. its actually pretty nice, lets just hope this patch wont be the last thing we see this year
  4. the mechanics are different in them two games, he needs to learn the mechanics and what to do during fights, when it is a good time to patch himself up, where to hide, when to push up, etcetera. DayZ PVP is entirely different than CSGO and PUB.
  5. stay away from roleplay servers till you are actually good PvP wise. Explore the entirety of the map, get involved into huge fights and gain experience, then head into roleplay servers.

What do you expect from DayZ (final)

    State of the Game?

this man right here gets it
  8. like this kid for example
  9. take a look around on youtube by searching "What is the problem with Dayz" etcetera and decide for yourself pal, I suggest you dont buy this at all till it hits BETA but if you like the way it is right now go ahead and buy it. the development wont get terminated its just extremely slow due to poor management. honestreview™ however by the time you get bored of this due to you not trying the game at all i suppose it'll be at the BETA stage. also dont trust anyone who tells you this game is perfect and we are all uninformed, the steam reviews are 100/100 truthful, same for youtube.

    State of the Game?

lmao "weve been patient". Mate, bullying players off the forum when they ask questions about the game aint been patient and following the development of the game. Boys, it is actually the same 10 people everytime who talk shit to concerned players like us, I could make a list here but you boys can shoot me a message if you want a list as Ill derail the topic. Anyway, saying "good job devs :D" every status report that is about petty things that no one actually cares about at this point as theres not even core gameplay set (variety of NON BUGGY vehicles, weapons) doesnt make you a nice and patient community member, it makes you the problem, whih results to the Dev team thinking we are all happy for a tree and survival items update. No, we are not. Your join date doesnt make you better, I joined the first week DayZ Mod was released to the public and standalone the day it came out, who cares? I didnt mention it to show Im better and my opinion is better in this arguement, I dont care even myself. The majority of the playerbase and former players are complaining about the development apart from you 10 people. But we all must be wrong, right? Still waiting on that video about progression and WIP list on weapons, vehicles and bug fixes. If a video can be made about trees and animations, I have no doubt one can be made about them aswell, remember, no items (:@Baty Alquawen

    State of the Game?

Because he represents the opinion of thousands, who can be found in youtube comment sections. Unlike you 12 boys commenting on the threads with the same thing everytime and being the mighty dev defenders.

    State of the Game?

If this thread gets locked, I hope you boys from DayZ Development link us a video you recently made on the development of weapons, vehicles, bug fixes and your current progression on your plans on them. Remember, no items, animations or visuals! (:

    State of the Game?

Instead of seeing new trees, items and what the animation team is doing in development videos, show me the development progress of bug fixing, vehicles and weapons in progress. Just make a development video showcasing the work in progress on vehicles, bug fixes and weapons only, even if its just some lines on some program and a sketch. Need some proof that they are actually working on something, dont we boys? Show us something lads

    State of the Game?

Everything gets better within time. However, its just baffling to have people support "bacon cooking in extra detail" and other irrelevant to the gameplay we want updates (Working vehicles, more weapons and bug-free zombies/animals). Thats what is fixed first, then you go on about animations and bacon cooking at ultra detail. Before anyone takes my comment in a literal way, Im aware the updates do not only consist of extra detail bacon cooking. But damn, what do we as players and people who paid for the game know, right? Lock the thread lads!

    State of the Game?

DayZ Mod was perfect and at the hands of the community with modding support and a friendly development team. This isn't.

    State of the Game?

mate, how are you going to call the player charts irrelevant? the excuse of alpha is beyond a joke at this point, we are in 2017 boys. iff you want to have a conversation with people who are not going to deny facts and evidence about the development then head straight to youtube, Jex. The only updates this game had apart from adding zombies and all them animals and a few bug fixes are mostly items. You focus on fixing the game then focus on making items. Locking threads and deleting posts aint going to change the opinions of the public on the development, its only going to look bad on yourselves lads I see the same ten people talk shit and act in a sarcastic manner to people asking questions about the current development of DayZ. When this is finished, no one is going to care and people like myself, will have moved on to a new game. (God bless Bohemia Interactive for Arma 3 and plans for Arma 4 right?) dont get me wrong lads the game is fun and all but when you try to defend the development of this game, the same excuses are being thrown out over and over and its laughable. i just hope theres some actual transparency to not have my post deleted from the moderation team and destroy me with facts instead of just clicking on that delete button talking shit about the game is different than talking shit about the development progress. "Alpha Access Games" do have a risk indeed, if I was told as a customer that "We don't know how long its going to take us" then its okay boys, but if you are going to make a time-table then use the excuse that "its old and we are trying to make it even more better" then I've got every right to criticize you. Oh, boys, when modding comes out, I expect you lot to play the vanilla version and not even touch the mods if you think this is alright. Props to the boys above me aswell. soon™

    Status Report - 04 April 2017

From a first glance, it looks like a very interesting update/status report. I'll read it in detail in the morning with a cup of coffee.

I didn't word my sentence correctly,, expect a written apology by tommorow. And it indeed is right!

    Lockable objects.

Good riddance. Building a door than locking an existing one is a different thing pal.
  22. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this with the rest of the community. (If this was posted in the wrong section, feel free to move it) First of all, I've been a huge fan of DayZ since 2011 and I have countless of hours on it. The game kept me up playing for hours with friends, etcetera etcetera. However, the vanilla mod got repetitive after a while but there were plenty of mods and other maps laying around, such as Breaking Point, Epoch, Taviana, Namalsk, Sahrani etcetera. The amount of mods and maps that were around allowed the players to switch to other mods and even back to vanilla when they got bored. But with DayZ Standalone, thats not the case nowadays. I understand the development has been slow, but I appreciate that the team is still actually working on the game. It got repetitive due to the same map and features. It has been four years, I bought Standalone the day it came out. I believe its time for the team to make modding accessible and allow the existing modding teams to bring mods Arma 2 DayZ Mod and Arma 3 currently have to this game aswell. Not only this will get players who have abandoned the game back to it, but the community (atleast myself and others who appreciate mods) cut the developmeant team some slack, so you can work without pressure. I don't understand why other maps and mods haven't been introduced yet, but I really hope someone from the team could shed some light into this case to players like myself. I typed this on my phone so excuse the errors that might have been made above. Thanks.

    DayZ Standalone and Mods/Maps

I don't need to do research when I've kept myself up to date throughout all these years. Instead, I posted a topic in the "general discussion" section to discuss it with other players. The part about money and them doing the right thing in your post triggers several questions which I'd rather not ask, as I don't want to cause arguements, as I've mentioned before. But you probably know already what I'd ask as I'm not the first player to come on the forums and go on a small "rant". Thanks.

    DayZ Standalone and Mods/Maps

Thanks for your answer Nuggit, I have seen that Sumrak has already been developing Namalsk, I saw that two years ago anyway, I probably forgot about it. Also, doing my "research" when by the official timeline of the game developers, we were now supposed to be on 1.0, is absolutely pointless. Also, I created this thread to see the thoughts of the players in regards of this. Points have been made, in regards of why modding and maps at this point is not possible from a technical prespective, which I do not disagree with. However, it has been almost four years Lok, I am still patient (which also has its limits) ever since this came out, but the timeline that the developers made was supposed to be out of early access in 2015 however, this is not something I want to go in-depth, in this thread, as there will be arguements and I'm sure about it. As mentioned two years ago: "The road to supporting a proper ecosystem on Steam Workshop will take time – but our goal is to have a strong set of tools, documentation, and examples by the time DayZ hits 1.0 and leaves Early Access." I hope this promise is actually kept and is not delayed just like the development has (where Im sure that the development team probably stumbled upon problems that made their progress slower) otherwise, it'll be the last straw for many players like myself. You can lock this or keep this open for further discussion, my concerns have been answered and it wouldn't make sense if I bring back an old discussion which would derail the thread anyway, in regards of the development. I'm not looking for arguments by the way, I'm just putting down the facts in a civil way. Catch you all in Chernarus.

    DayZ Standalone and Mods/Maps

Even though I still stand to what I've said above, thanks for the quick answer. What about importing maps, such as Namalsk and Taviana? Its been four years, without any mods or a new map. In regards of just adding the option for modders to work on a new map, or work on importing a new map themselves.
