Few weeks ago they asked some ideas for experimental servers that we would have something when waiting beta.so is this it?no pumpkins?maybe i could go and test the crash but what crash?...how about extreme cold,no apples,faster infected?something

nope,havent killed chicken ever...just watched too much rocky movies i guess:) i just thought that maybe chickens would go and leave the villages after when food are out...thats why i thought that maybe you could only find chickens in random places wandering.

Ok...now i managed to read the whole report through and im pleased.im just hoping that discussion here its not gonna be one sided.please devs...stay with us if we are brainstorming the new ideas to experimental servers... I dont know what is doable and what are the little changes what was on report...but really...some hardcore experimental server could be the one i would like to test. Changes in this server could be: No apples at all,because its the winter in chernarus. Firedrill firemaking to harder.give just 10% change to make fire but make matches a little bit common,just a little. Chickenz:make them faster that you cannot kill them with melee weapon,you should use bow to hunt them...maybe better change to chickens would be to make them live in wild. Stoneknife is too powerfull.i have tested it and butchers cleaver gives you less meat compared to stoneknife when skinning the animal...and stoneknife should go ruined quite easily...but it could be easy to find because in enviroment,there should be pieces of glass and metal what you could use as a cutting tool. Is it hardcore yet??no? Ok,lets make it a little bit more. Because winter, its very cold there. With damaged,non cold resistance clothes you should suffer coldness more easily.casual firemaking,heatpacks and proper winter clothing should be needed.and staying at fire should give you a big warm bonus but it should depend what kind of fire you have.lowest bonus comes from small fireplace at outside.inside houses and craftable stone-fireplace could give biggest and longest lasting warm bonus. And last one...stop bleeding with rags versus bandages.make it that shirt gives you two rags.but stop bleeding you need to use four rags.bandage usage is just one. Everyone spawns without any statuses,no hungry,no thirsty.start kit would be road flare and four rags.now you have time to search crucial items for your survival.with roadflare you can lit the fireplace and with four rags you can cure bleeding.

first...im happy that you want contribute with us with things..... its a sauna day so i cant really thought this status report completively but... experimental server with winter theme...no apples...make chickens faster that you cant kill them with your axe....but bow will do it...or gun. firedrillkit firemaking make it harder....but add lighter to game...(or make matches 20% more common) and if its not good that chickens is faster...then just make them live in wild randomly. and player interactions...there is only one change to test it....more infecteds.

i meant,those patches....is there something to test,other than that security update? previous exp patch was some crash fix and it was moved to stable...so this new exp is just a same as stable but with security update.

no to this...but,there could be something in how and where you log out from server. examble log out from server in rain...=flu and cold when you log in again. even in just outside log out should give you a litle punishment but in future,there could be sleeping bags or craftable temporary shelter where you could log out safely. logging out in bed,fire in fireplace and cup of honeytea=increased stamina and healtly but this should be desingned visely that no one cant exploit sleeping system.

60 players are just fine amount.military areas,hospitals,fire stations,police stations supermarket should have some stuff what player needs...making those hotspots. i recall that in mod,i was constantly looting supermarkets for matches...where do you need matches at standalone?it takes 30 seconds to make fire without matches in forest. why go to hospital to search bandages?there is rags everywhere in game...what to do with antibiotics or painkillers?...never had to use those.if there is something wrong with my leg in game....rags/sticks=splint.

Is there anything happening on deep survivaling things?is chickens,fish,apples infinite?..any changes on systems where stoneknifes and firedrills are more easier to obtain and are way better items than matches and butchers knifes?

hmm,village server was lagging and desyncing...i was hitting the infected with shovel but it was that there was not infected at all...i couldnt kill it. then suddenly session was lost....i tried rejoin server but my game crashed to desktop. then i went back to the game and i was dead....so question is... if my game crash,is it same like in combat logging.....my character stays in game world sometime?so this bugged desynced infected killed me?

seasons...yes. dayz is falling behind if looking survive the nights and dead matter.they have dynamic seasons. and why there cant be running water in chernarus...i mean river?...i watched map designer youtube video and,it felt like you cant do anything with easy in this new engine. i dont know how easy these kind of things is with other engines....but dynamic seasons designed in game...lakes frozen,leafs falling ground,apples rotten,animals different colours,blizzards...it feels very hard task. i dont believe that we gonna see seasons in dayz....

i think that 60 player per server is good....for me 50 is fine also. player interactions should be tried to achieve with gameplay changes...there should be some loot on shores,,,maybe some crates from boats...make hospitals and supermarkets more important. antibiotics,bandages,other medicines should be important but without proper diseases(flus,fever)and overpowered rags....you dont need medicine at the moment.

what about the server perfomance? and is there in 0.63 version gonna be some changes to appletrees?

thanks baty for that...can you poke eugen to confirm or debunk this:low players servers vs high players servers and differential feel of need to eat and drink? i have always that feel when im playing....if i play low population servers (2-4 players),it feels that i have to drink and eat often.when 40-60 players,game is more forgiving about coldness,hungry and drinking...even infected feels different in terms of how much they give damage. i have always were worried that is this differential feeling between low/high servers just my internet speed or is it in servers fault.ping is 45-100. thanks

Hey devs...when we can have better server perfomance that status bar dont get stuck when server has many players? is there 0.63 some fixes in server perfomance,what kind of fix?

I count myself as a gone away player but may be back when bugs are fixed and little more difficulty added.fix the status bar bug via server perfomance...fix the bugs around fishing...make chickens travel randomly in landscape(not only in towns)...nerf the apples and medical system...surviving should be more than collect apples,find few rags and gun and go to the war.make stamina one of the biggest thing in game via happiness,healthy food and social interactions etc....more you eat variety of foods,more you spend time on heat of the fire just randomly,more happy you are and it effect your stamina...link everything to stamina.....coldness,thirsty,hungry should first affect stamina...and please...when its cold in game,try somehow show it visually...just little snowflakes that melt instantly on ground....thats it.

So,i have searched some new games and arma 3 desolation redux has popped our all the time....i think that they have all what standalone has and base building....so whats the difference?

try it again....this time i spawned skalisty. playing with my own rules.... i was starving to death but managed to catch with fishing rod two fish....but where those are?no inventory,no on ground?

when you dont have to really eat or drink...its major bug and kills the survival aspect....yeah but lets wait for better times.
